NEW FEATURES: + ANIMALS: Welcome the Wild Boar to the roster of playable animals! A dynamic omnivore with plenty of strength and power to defence itself. + ROSTER: Completely reworked the old "change animal" menu into it's own section called Roster, accessible from the character menu.
GAMEPLAY CHANGES: + CAMERA: HUGE overhaul on the camera including FOV, zoom levels, and general movement. + PERFORMANCE: More various improvements to increase framerate. + TERRAIN: Lots more detailing, pathing, and improvement of the world.

Music enters into The WILDS

NEW FEATURES: + MUSIC: Background music now officially working. Each Zone will have it's own track. This feature is defaulted to off but for those who want it, it can be found in the settings menu. + MATE REVIVE: Severely hurt mates will now enter a "downed" state in combat. After combat you can revive any downed mates. + INTERACTIONS: Controls for given interactions are now shown in the interaction info popup.
GAMEPLAY CHANGES: + PERFORMANCE: Rendering stats were cut down by about 40%, hoping to see some improvements in FPS this update. + VITALS: Greatly reduced the speed of food/water degeneration. + VITALS: Health regeneration has also been greatly reduced, but eating food now greatly restores health. + TERRAIN: Altered an extremely repetitive looking texture to smooth out the look of the world. + TERRAIN: More detailing. + MOVEMENT: Much more fluid movement when changing poses and moving / stopping. + ANIMAL INTERACTION: Non-aggressive animals nearing each other will no longer trigger fleeing.
BUG FIXES + INTERACTIONS: Vastly improved interacting, no longer switching interacted object, or activated multiple interactibles at once. + CARRY/DRAG: Properly set carry point for various foods. + CARRY/DRAG: Preventing carry of interactables that didn't make sense. + AUDIO: Fixed control over Ambient audio. + VARIOUS BUGS: Many many new fixes.
Carry and Dragging enter The WILDS
NEW FEATURES: + CARRY/DRAG: Added the ability to pick up and carry smaller food/animals, or to drag heavier ones. Actions will be determined based on size and weight differential between animals. + TUTORIAL GUIDANCE: Informational pop-ups will lead new players through some of the basics of the game. + TOOL TIPS: Hover your mouse over various UI elements in order to get more information on their behavior and role in the game. + ON-SCREEN CONTROLS: Currently available actions will be displayed in the right corner of the screen to help understand various interactions with the world. (Toggle On/Off in settings) + VARIABLE ZOOM: Hold the zoom key and use the mouse wheel to dynamically shift between a tight angle camera or a wider view.
GAMEPLAY CHANGES: + INTERACTIONS: Interactible object will now be highlighted when focused and list known information and interactions that are available. + CAMERA: More improvements on camera smoothing.

Lighting Changes enter The WILDS
New Features + AUTO-EXPOSURE: The lighting in the game will now adapt to the environment. This means if you enter a cave that's very dark, the game will automatically increase brightness to help with visibility.
World Changes + GROUND TEXTURES: Redid metallic mapping for the ground textures will hopefully fix the shimmering the ground does in some lighting.
Gameplay Changes + COUGAR: Added 'Quick Turn' animations for more dynamic movement when turning in tight spaces. + COUGAR: Added additional alternate fur colors/patterns. + CAMERA: Cleaned up the jittery camera movement when in caves or other tight overhangs.
Bug Fixes + MATES: Added additional safeguards to prevents mates from getting lost/stuck when following the player. + BREEDING: Fixed a bug with breeding not being allowed even when conditions are right. + VARIOUS BUGS: Too many to mention them all.
The Cougar enters into The WILDS
NEW ANIMAL + COUGAR: Welcome a new predator to The WILDS, also known a the mountain lion, the Cougar is a nimble hypercarnivore and the first of the Big Cats to join the roster.
NEW FEATURES: + TIMING-BASED EVENTS: The first of several such events is the timed-pounce. These various events initiate a slowed warp in time and challenge you to strike at the right moment. Be it a deadly attack, a life-saving dodge, or a last chance to escape a battle, the events will be tide-changers when engaging with other animals.
WORLD CHANGES: + MAP: Updated the map to better refelect the new additional zones.
GAMEPLAY CHANGES: + RAGDOLLS: Heavily improved all animal ragdolls to avoid strange configurations and stretching when a killed animal goes limp. + CAMERA: Much better smoothing for the camera when in targeting mode and when transitioning between various shots. + MOVEMENT: Much better smoothing with animals changing speeds, starting / stopping walking, jumping etc. + AI BEHAVIOR: Two new behaviors added to every animal; Threaten and Defend + STATISTICS: Rebalanced much of the attack/health values for each animal.
BUG FIXES + PAUSE SCREEN: Pausing was still allowing audio to play with time frozen, that should no longer be the case. + VARIOUS BUGS: Too many to mention them all.
Cinematics enter The WILDS
NEW FEATURES: + ZONE CINEMATICS: Upon entering zones for the first time you'll be transitioned into a short cinematic highlighting points of interest within the zone. + CINEMATIC PLAYER CAMERA: Press the 'C' key to enter cinematic camera mode, repeatedly putting the camera into cinematic positions to watch your animals interact with the world.
WORLD CHANGES: + ZONES: Three new zones: The Falls, Lille Island, and Sandy Dunes. + DENS: Three new dens in the new zones.
GAMEPLAY CHANGES: + AI: Further improved the AI's ability to change poses (sitting/laying). + ATLAS: You can now click on any of the categories/items to automatically scroll to the selection. + PERFORMANCE: Reduced render costs by 15-20% which should translate into improved FPS and reduced lag. + DEN: Enclosed Dens will now reduce ambient forest volume for a more realistic / immersive effect.
BUG FIXES + GAME SIZE: Problematic plug-in removed that was bloating the game and file size.
Zones enter The WILDS
ANIMAL CHANGES + WOLF: Two new sitting "idle" animations
GAMEPLAY CHANGES: + AI: AI controlled enemies and packmates will now sit and lay down while idle. + ZONES ADDED: Added a few Zones around the world. These are aptly named areas which will give more detail to the map and will inform the Atlas of where certain foods/plants/animals have been found. + MAP: Added a tooltip to the map for how to drop/remove pings.
ROADMAP + The next update will be a large one and take 2-4 weeks. Goals: detailing new zones in the world, introducing caves, expanding and detailing the dens, and adding the Cougar
