Last week, we shared news of plans to release an in-game DLC store feature for Steam. After its release on Thursday, it was rightfully pointed out by the community that the file size was a less than optimal 24GB.
This has been a pain point for our growing library of DLC and updates for some time, and we do hear your frustrations and questions about why this hurdle exists. We are actively searching for and discussing possible solutions and will provide more insight as soon as we have it.

The in-game DLC store feature is now live on Steam!
This is a free standalone addition to the game, and a small quality of life element we are investigating for everyone across our other platforms. In the meantime - first impressions, looks, UI & UX - tell us what you think!

Yes
Are there any bug fixes coming with it?
No. This is only a feature update, but we are working on a list of fixes and improvements for our next all-platform update, coming soon!
Why are you only releasing this on Steam?
This feature has been on the drawing board for a while now and we would eventually like to implement it across all platforms, but it requires different implementation methods and considerations for each. Releasing this on Steam now means we’ll be able to gather community feedback and make any adjustments before we release elsewhere.

ICYMI: the in-game DLC store is launching on Steam next week
We have some more seasonal wallpapers for your rotation. You can download them for desktop via Twitter, and versions for mobile from our Instagram Stories!
On Tuesday’s stream, we announced an in-game DLC store for Steam coming out next week. This is something we are looking to implement across all platforms, and releasing on Steam now means we’ll be able to gather community feedback and make any adjustments beforehand.

Happy Friday, Hunters!
This weekend marks the first official days of Spring and Autumn! To celebrate, we’ll be sharing some lovely captures early next week to use as wallpapers on your desktop and phone. Keep an eye out!
The Known Issues List has been updated! Following the Spring theme, we’ve also worked together with our QA and Support teams to give this a big clean up.

Happy first week of March!
Spring is just around the corner and that means a new season is about to begin for our IRL community of hunters. What are you excited for? Tell us about your plans in the comments!
Thank you to everyone who participated in the survey we sent out earlier this week! We’re not ready to tell you exactly what it was for, but we will say we are keen on hearing about your interests outside of hunting. 🙊
We also want to rehash the confusion surrounding hidden POI on Reserve maps. If you can’t see them you can enable them again via Game Settings under POI Icons.
Other than that, it’s a quiet week in the way of news but we really want to keep that cadence going!
While we're always working on improving and bringing new experiences to theHunter: Call of the Wild, we're also keen to hear about any new types of content that you might be interested in!
