What better date to patch This is the Zodiac Speaking than Friday 13th? We are happy to announce a significant patch solving many of the issues reported by players until now! Please find detailed patch notes below:
- correct display of symbols during mini-games; - the button to close the journal no longer covers the text; - default cursor sensitivity fixed; - correct localization of graphic settings; - items crucial for the story appear in the inventory; - Zodiac has a better chance to spot you from a very close range; - improved level design of key puzzles makes the Zodiac not so frustrating in many places; - louder foot sounds; - Zodiac sees worse in the dark and hears in a shorter distance; - the stamina bar is animated during the cooldown; - after depletion of stamina, running is possible after regaining half of the value; - the display of lights in many places has been improved; - gas station light colliders do not cause collisions in the crouch; - after collecting the cherry blanket, it doesn't disappear from the locker; - post-processing effects fixed on several maps; - added a note with a phone number on Berryessa Gas Station map; - the fence on the Berryessa Gas Station map does not disappear when leaving the map; - increasing the distance of displaying POI icons for important objects; - limiting the presence and activity of the Zodiac in several places; - achievements system fixed; - Polish localization fixes; - fixes for collisions with objects; - fixed animation of mannequins in attics; - the speaker icon in the Journal Diary returns to its original state after the end of the audio playback;

This is the Zodiac Speaking is a noir, fact-based single-player psychological thriller. Told from a first-person perspective, you play as Robert, a Bay Area journalist who survived a brutal attack by the notorious Zodiac serial killer. He will have to confront his own traumatic demons if he hopes to stand a chance of discovering the Zodiac’s identity and bringing him to justice.
This is the Zodiac Speaking offers two distinct gameplay modes. One that blends storytelling with stealth and action gameplay elements, while the second (Detective mode) puts emphasis on storytelling to let you fully immerse in the Zodiac investigation. The game mixes factually recreated crime scene details and clues down including the Zodiac’s cipher and even the misspellings in the Zodiac’s letters to the press with a fictional storyline to create a mind-bending experience.

The game offers you two game modes. A Detective Mode where you are safe from Zodiac as this mode emphasizes storytelling in order to let you fully immerse in Zodiac investigation. That way you can learn facts about his evil deeds without worrying that he will confront you. Serial Killer Mode blends storytelling with stealth and action gameplay elements. In this mode, you can feel the constant threat of Zodiac. If you make a wrong decision and things will happen...
During our live stream, we will play the Serial Killer Mode in order to fully experience the thrill of this dangerous investigation. After that, we will show you gameplay with a little bit of commentary which will give you more insight information about the game!
