The new year has just begun and we’re kicking it off, celebrating the Chinese Lunar New Year, as well as the Base Builder Fest! And that means there’s some new stuff for you to find during the fest, as well as some additions that have the power to change your Tinkertown worlds forever! Our latest content drop adds new alternate weapons as well as decorations and a costume to celebrate the year of the Water Rabbit for a few weeks. You will also be able to find last years items, too.
As for the builder aspect of Tinkertown: We’ve added new shovels that will allow the player to not just remove gras or sand, but also the dirt underneath! And what’s underneath the dirt? Yes, WATER! In return, you will also be able to place any dirt on water, terraforming your Tinkertown world! Create islands, ponds or a moat, let your imagination run wild!
To give you a better idea of what we’ve added, here’s a short list:
1 new costume set
3 new weapon skin variants
2 new placeables to celebrate the year of the water rabbit
2 new shovel tiers to remove different material tiers of ground layers
2 new placeable ground types to create a foundation on Water.
2 new floor types
We hope you enjoy the update and don't forget to share your creations with us via forum or join our Discord! We are so excited to see what you build with the new content!
Happy Lunar New Year,
your Tinkertown Team

Winter Holiday Update!
Ho ho ho, Tinkerers,
We’re moving to the end of the year! And that means while the Steam Winter Sale lasts, we’re adding our Holiday content back to the game: Grab yourself some Candy Cane and enjoy the festivities just like the Goblins do! ☃️
Thanks to our particle system and updated shaders, we’ve made minor visual changes to the enemy's eyes and the Sunwalker Boots, with more to come in the future.
Changelog:
Goblins are dressed for the Winter Holiday Season.
Added the ability to craft Christmas lights and Christmas trees.
Improved usability of controllers.
You can no longer walk or interact with things while in inventory or crafting menus using a gamepad.
There is now a written indication if you need to hold buttons for longer when doing actions in the inventory (e.g. trashing items)
Fixed the flickering of the action displays in the inventory
Fixed weird glitching when performing rebinds
Added localization for Chat, Inventory and Minigame controls
Fixed an issue where sometimes the quest hud would overlap with the Hotbar on the top (now it knows its place!) and made the font bigger to improve readability
Fixed an issue where you could glitch yourself into the volcano dungeons
Slimes now move a little differently.
Our Team is now off to Winter Vacation to get some well-deserved rest. But no worries, we’ll be right back at the start of the new year. ❄️
Known Issues:
There is an issue with the master of craft achievement, it requires some seasonal items to be fulfilled that are not craftable at the moment. We are sorry but this Achievement may not be doable for everybody at until we fix the issue early next year.
🎄Happy Holidays!🎄 Your Tinkertown Team!

Today is our Birthday! ːsteamhappyː Tinkertown has been growing for 2 years in Early Access and we’ve come a long way. It’s exciting to see how much our community and Tinkertown itself has grown and we can’t thank you enough for the ongoing support and feedback you’ve given us.
Now, after 2 years, we’re almost at the end of Early Access, preparing the Lava Biome for its release and a few minor events to add some more content and get rid of all the bugs and issues left!
So let's celebrate this day by adding the Volcano Dungeons to the experience:
3 Dungeons, spread across the Biomes.
Each Dungeon is filled with various new enemies, loot, weapons, armor sets and a Boss.
The Volcano Dungeons introduce the upcoming Lava Biome and the chests at the end of each of those dungeons will reward you with a special item that you will need once the Lava Biome Dungeon is available.
Looking back we’re very proud of our accomplishments, especially since this whole endeavor started with just two people till launch and grew into a small core team of 5. We can’t wait for you to see the rest of the content we have in store for you and will hope you continue to support us and play Tinkertown as much as you did before!
Thank you for your ongoing support! ❤️ The Tinkertown Team!
