Alongside some small balancing updates and fixes, we've also added 3 brand new tanks thanks to Community feedback.

- Fixed Soviet Union transport truck that sometimes got stuck on the rock on Japan campaign maps. - Fixed issues for campaign where next wave may not begin upon eliminating all the available enemy. - Added Japanese tanks that were officer only in campaign to sandbox and shadow modes. - Fixed issue where Japanese commanders in campaign mode cannot be placed on map if they are not in the vehicle.

It is with great pleasure that we announce that the upcoming Total Tank Simulator: Japan Update will be launching March 20th, 2023 – yes, next Monday!
The Japan Update, will be an update to the main game, meaning you do not need to do anything to prepare for the update. Your Steam client will automatically trigger the update at 4pm GMT / 5pm CET / 9am PDT

The update adds Japan as a new playable faction alongside dedicated generals
New campaign: Soviet Invasion of Sakhalin and Kuril Islands for Japan faction
Custom music soundtrack for Japanese faction
Added 4 new maps
New Units for the Japan faction (see full list above)
Optimization and Bugfixes
Game startup time has been reduced
Now you can preview weapons in structures in the campaign’s tech tree
(previously it was only possible for units)
Reduced game build size
Fixing the weapon panel display after entering a vehicle as an infantry.
Healing mechanics clarification:
- Infantry can heal using med kits
- Other units while controlled by AI cannot heal by themselves.
- Player can always heal controlled unit
Fixing smoke mechanics
- Might be used to obscure the vision of units that end up in smoke.
- Is heavily used by the Ninja unit (New unit from Japan Update).
Unit in-game descriptions are now properly localized
Fixing manual steering sometimes breaking targeting for AI
This was the case for first-person weapons on vehicles
Fixed bug on the soft-locking game when a battle starts with issued order
Adding selection for units when issuing orders

Let’s start with Total Tank Simulator.
We hear you loud and clear. After reading multiple threads and rumours. Yes, Total Tank Simulator WILL be getting an update.
While we’re not able to disclose the release date –just yet - we can, however, confirm more details about the Japan campaign and the units which will be joining TTS.
As disclosed earlier in the year, the Japanese faction will cover 1 Acts;
Act 1 - Soviet Invasion of Sakhalin and Kuril Island – 08/1945

Today, we’re excited to finally announce Total Tank Generals.
Total Tank Generals allows you to take command of an army during World War 2, leading them to victory! Turn-based strategy is the name of the game here, as we drop you into real historical military campaigns of past generals and see how you fair.
As you take command of your army, YOUR decisions matter – when to move, when to expend your ammo, when to hold back and when to push forward.
However, our adaptive and intuitive AI is also doing the same. Want to keep using tanks, that’s fine, but be prepared for lots of anti-tank weapons from your opponent!
Presenting war from the perspective of three of the greatest WWII Generals, is challenging, offering an in-depth educational side to the war, and the decisions that shaped our world today. Delivered in an entertaining and comprehensible package depicting historical events in a realistic documentary-like manner within a War Museum.
Modders, we haven’t forgotten about you...
We will be enabling extended support for modding – allowing for the replacement of unit and map visuals, allowing players to create and share advance mods for Total Tank Generals.

We’ve heard you and can confirm that a FREE update will be coming to Total Tank Simulator – which will include a new faction.
