Greetings everyone! We'd like to thank each and every one of you for supporting us and buying our first game. Even though it's not perfect, we still put our hearts and souls into making this and we are proud that we were able to deliver a complete experience. A lot of things happened the past year. Looking back, we definitely learned a lot from this experience and we will use it to bring more games in the future.
What does the future hold for MiSou Games?
Right now, we are working on two new games. At first we wanted to work on our dream project. But considering the world's current state, we are now taking the safer route and create a small scale project while we work on our dream project on the side. This means we can release more games early while getting a bit of a revenue stream that can push us to making our long term project.

Blackscreen on start bug fix / Co-op crash / Linux Manjaro display crash fix
It has been reported that playing the game for the first time stops the player after the first loading screen. We have released a patch that fixes this.
If it still persists please delete the TowertaleTTSystemSav file from the Persistent Data Path of the game.
You can follow this directory to go there: C:\Users\ComputerName\AppData\LocalLow\MiSou Games

We also fixed a bug with playing on Co-op with controllers + a keyboard when on battle or at the tutorial area, when pause button is pressed, crashes the game.

Another bug that has been reported that the graphics from the Linux build on Manjaro with AMD cards crashes.
We have figured out that it was a resolution issue. It can be fixed by adding this line to the launch options:
-screen-fullscreen 0
You can do this by clicking the gear on Towertale's library page -> Properties -> General Tab -> Set Launch Options

Towertale version 1.2 (Co-op update) is now live!
Greetings and salutations everyone!
It's been 9 long months since we initially released Towertale on steam. The game has changed a lot since the initial release. The most notable change is that we added a new Co-op feature that lets you play with your friends up to 4 players!
New Co-op Content:
You can now team up with your friends on all game modes, Story, Arcade, Free and Boss Rush.
A new storyline and ending.
We added a new storyline for the Co-op mode. It can be played by yourself or with friends.
Remote Play Together
The game is compatible with Steam's Remote Play Together feature. Which means, you can play co-op with your friends online! Though, it is recommended to have at least 30mbps of Upload/Download speed for it to be playable. If not, try setting the the host's limit resolution to 480p and the client's options to fast. New Features:
Scenario Selector
After implementing the Skip function last patch, our next step was adding the Scenario Selector. You can now play/replay any parts of the game so long as you unlocked that scenario!
The Gallery
Another thing we wanted to add was the gallery. There are a lot of great Art from the story mode, we wanted a place to collect them and let the player view them at any time.
A new main menu art and music
With these all new features added, we couldn't resist to put a new main menu art and music to the game.
Filipino and Dutch Localization
The game now supports Filipino and Dutch translations. Currently, portugese and Czech language are being worked on by our discord members. More will come hopefully in the future.

Nintendo Switch Release
It's been a long time coming but we finally got a switch release! After we released on steam, we couldn't meet our sales goal. We wanted the game to be played by a larger amount of players and we believe Nintendo Switch was a good fit for the game. Hopefully the sales will be enough to carry us over the initial stages of our next project. As, up till now, we still haven't paid up our debts.
All of these updates are actually part of the things we added to the Nintendo Switch. But I told my publisher that I didn't want our steam customers to feel left out so we opted to bring the free update to steam too.

Price change
With all of these changes that we made, we feel that Towertale as a product is finally complete. It was discussed with my console publisher that we would raise the price of the game to $9.99. Hopefully that will mean that everyone who bought the game before this update will feel that the game has raised its value. Just putting this out there for transparency.

Lastly, I'd like to say thank you to everyone who played the game. This was our first commercial release and we really learned a lot from it. And I promise you that our next game is going to be really better since everyone in the team has leveled up their skills. We hope to bring you more awesome games in the future!
Co-op free DLC delayed to Q1 2020
Heya all,
I am very sorry to announce that the free co-op dlc is now delayed to Q1 2020. Although the PC build is already ready for shipping, we need to wait for the switch version to be live because we are working with our console publisher for a simultaneous release. Hopefully this will give us some time to cook the game a bit more and iron out some co-op bugs that might occur.
We will announce the release date with a new trailer, as soon as Nintendo finishes reviewing Towertale for switch.

We've been working hard these past months to bring Towertale to nintendo switch. We are focusing more on the co-op features in the game. The new co-op mode will support up to 4 players and will be available to play online with steam's new Remote Play Together feature. We are adding a few new features: CG Gallery, Scenario Selector for story mode and an alternate ending for the Co-op's story mode.

Hello we optimized the assets and loading time in game. The initial loading shouldn't take too long now. Also did minor tweaks to the Goblin Boss which shouldn't effect things much.

Towertale is coming to the Nintendo Switch!
Hello guys! We're really excited to announce that Towertale is coming to the Nintendo Switch! It's been a while since our intial steam release. We have been searching for a publisher who want to help us get the game on consoles. We're glad to say that we will be working with Keybol Games. They will help us get the game on Switch, PS4 and XBOX ONE! But we are doing the releases one at a time. The Switch version will come first!
Couch co-op is coming to the steam version too!
A feature that is highly requested by some folks is the Co-op! We are going to work on it along with the switch release. But we don't want our steam customers to feel left out so the coop will also be available on the steam version too!
What happened to the localization and mac build?
The localization system is going to be worked on after we have successfully ported the game on the switch. We too want to release other languages when we make our console release. As for the mac build, keybol is going to help us test it out so expect it to come out eventually!
Other future plans, our next game?
As for our future plans. A mobile release is also being made alongside the switch port. But the switch port will take priority first.
We are also already planning for our next game. We might take a break from making a big project such as Towertale. We need to scale down because we still haven't have enough sales sold on steam yet sadly. But we promise to bring another quality game the next time around too!

Towertale Updated to version 1.1.3 + Some updates.
Greetings all! Here are some minor fixes and adjustments requested by some users. Will also talk a bit about localization and the mac build.
Changelog v1.1.3:
- Added 3 continues to Arcade Mode.
- Fixed: Goblin trident powerup sound not adjusting to audio settings.
- Fixed: Eternal Watcher Ognimus Laser charging sound not adjusting to audio settings.
- Adjusted: Creator BG elements being broken.
- Increased size of projectile markers.
- Switch back proper text to old boss-rush mode text rather than the demo text.

Mac Build update:
We're sorry to say that we are going to delay the mac build for now. Mainly because we don't have a mac device that we can test on. Some friends help out testing the game but there seems to be a problem stopping the progression in the mac build. We will be sure to do the mac port once we are able to buy a device. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Localization update:
We are going to work on the localization system this week. Hopefully after that we are able to add more language support for the game. Though we haven't sold enough copies for us to get all languages. We might acquire them as we sell more copies in the future.
