Use new Cursed scrolls to reduce your chance of getting or role.
Host a custom lobby with the ability to set games private or public, add game modifiers such as VIP or Town Traitor, or ban roles from appearing in your game!
An enhanced chat experience with the ability to tag players highlighting the chat for them. Mention roles that can be clicked to open up that role's rolecard. Mention keywords for different abilities or actions that can be clicked to explain what they are. Players will also be able to change chat fonts, toggle icons in chat and even change the text size!

Patch 3.3.8 Ranked Season 6 Starts and Hotfixes
Today we are starting Ranked Season 6. We are also releasing a small patch to fix some issues with the QoL coloring and missing spaces in some of the feedback messages in chat, as well as the missing Season 5 Master lobby icon.

Patch 3.3.8 Ranked Season 5 Ends!
Today we are releasing Town of Salem patch 3.3.8 for a new Ranked Season. We've consulted with a number of people from the ToS community to introduce a new Classic Ranked role list Ranked Season 6. You can play this new role list now. Offseason (ranked games not being counted toward your rank) will last a few days and then the season will start.
We're also releasing some new character skins; say hello to the Disguiser, Psychic, and Consigliere! With the release of these skins, we are converting some of the older skins which could only be purchased with Town Points to now be purchasable with Merit Points as well.
Additionally, the community (shoutout to ShadowDior and Tuba) has been working with our team to implement some wording and coloring improvements to a number of the feedback messages in chat, as well as a new feature to highlight lines in the chat which contain your player number.

New Features
New Disguiser, Psychic and Consigliere character skins are available for purchase in the Shop or to be awarded by the Cauldron.
Improvements
• Coloring enhancements to some of the feedback messages.

Changes
• Classic Ranked Role List:The new Classic Ranked Role List contains the following: Jailor, 2 Town Investigative, Town Protective, 5 Random Town, Godfather, Mafioso, Mafia Support, Random Mafia, Neutral Killing, and Neutral Evil.
• Extended Player Numbers will now be ON by default for new players. Extended Player Numbers can be turned on or off in the Settings dialog.
• iOS Supported Architectures:The armv7 architecture is no longer supported on iOS.
• Shop: The following cosmetics are now purchasable with Merit Points:
- Pets: Owl, Carrion, Ina Field, Super Doge, Spike.
- Maps: Army, Alien, Hero City, Heaven and Hell.
- Characters: Consort, Kitsune, Hypnotist, Hexmaster, Coven Leader, Mafioso, Shadow Wolf, Headsman, Stargal, Jack Frost, Plaguebearer.
- Houses: Mushroom Manor, Hall of Salem, Aquarium, One Man’s Trash, Spaceship, Sphinx.
Bug Fixes
• Classic Ticket System: Fixed an issue that could prevent the ticket from being consumed when playing a game using the ticket system.
Ranked Season 5 Ends!
Ranked Season 5 will be coming to a close on Wednesday October 5th.
You still have a few days to hit your final season goals, but don't worry too much! Your Ranked Season rewards are based on your season high, not your current rating.
On Wednesday we will make a post before the patch that will include all the Season rewards, but I can say this seasons icons are based on the Horseman of the Apocalypse!
Here is the new Ranked Role List that will be available on the 5th for play during a short off season before launching the next Ranked Season.

Traitors in Salem Full Release!
After many years the Necronomicon has begun to stir. Its power seeping throughout the Town corrupting the minds of the weak. Will you fight off the call of the Necronomicon, or will you fall victim to its allure? Download Traitors in Salem today to find out!
How to play?:
In terms of gameplay, each player gets one of 31 possible unique roles at the start of the game. Players can interact with NPCs to start different quests that can contribute to the towns victory, or gives special personal perks. Roles have abilities to do things like reveal yourself to the town as innocent, track down a killer from a dead body, and even shoot the suspicious. Other role abilities include things like burning away dead bodies, convert Town members over to the side of Evil, and blocking all Town members from using abilities. The Town members (good guys) will try and use abilities to find out information to use at the Trial to hang Traitors. Traitors will use stealth and cunning to avoid detection and kill of Town members. Once one faction remains, the winner is declared.
Some notable features of Traitors in Salem are:
- Share your Role Deck - Save, load, and share pre-built decks with your friends
- Banning Roles - On top of choosing roles to be in the game, you can ban roles to ensure they don't appear. This opens up tons of special crazy modes to create
- Quests - Talk to dedicated NPCs to obtain quests in preparation of banishing the Necronomicon, or get special perks
- Choose your Adventure - The game can be customized. Choose from options such as ability cooldowns, vision range, discussion time and more
- Game-Wide Voice chat - Voice Chat is integrated (built-in) to Traitors in Salem. Global Voice Chat is available during the lobby, discussion, and trial phases of the game
- Proximity Voice - On top of the normal Global Voice Chat, there is also Proximity Voice Chat for chatting with those near you during gameplay
- English and Chinese Language Support - Change your selected language to set your language and allow for English or Chinese games
- Chaos Modes - Capture the Flag add for an extra layer of fun, outside of the base game play allowed within a normal game mode

An ominous feeling fills the air, and a body is found. 10 years of peace in Salem is being threatened! The binding spell keeping the Necronomicon under control is failing. Work with your other Town members to completely banish the Necronomicon, or rid the Town of all the Traitors being controlled by its dark influence. Will you fall victim to the Necronomicon’s corruption, or weed out the Traitors in the town!
With 31 unique roles use your abilities to gain information, enhance your character, deceive, or kill other players! Save the Town, or Destroy it. With abilities like investigating players to find out if they are good or evil, forcing a player to defend themselves on the stand, creating illusions of players and more, there is never a dull moment.
Possessed by the Necronomicon, Traitors fight to gain control of the Town and free the Necronomicon from its failing prison. As a Traitor, sneaking and stealth are your best allies. Kill Town members to protect the Necronomicon!
Use your role's abilities to do things like burn away dead bodies, convert Town members over to the side of Evil, or block all Town members from using abilities!
Use Spells granted to you by the Necronomicon to give yourself the advantage over the Town by blocking their paths with overgrown brambles, displacing players to random areas around the map, or summoning powerful totems that must be dispelled or Town will be slowed, have reduced vision, or will outright be killed! Almost anything a Town member can do, you can too!
Deal with all of the Traitors to the Town, or complete all of the quests needed to banish the Necronomicon in order to win!
Use your role's abilities to do things like reveal yourself to the town as innocent, track down a killer from a dead body, and even take matters into your own hand and deal out vigilante justice!
Do what you can to counteract the powerful magic used by the Traitors.
Find secret passages, flag down boats, and fix broken bridges to help get around the town.
Use Telescopes, confer with Ghost NPCs, use the Runeboard, and more to gain information about your so-called innocent friends.
Use the Town Bell to call a Town Meeting if you see anything out of the ordinary.
Report a body to call a Town Meeting.
Hang anyone suspicious at the gallows and save Salem!
NPCs are scattered around the Town. Interact with them to get quests that contribute to the Town's victory, give you special personal perks, or unlock different abilities!
Play as one of 15 amazing cosmetic characters. More characters and character skins are unlockable! Pets too!
Custom Role Lists:
- Create Role Lists: Choose from the 31 unique roles specifically, or between sets of randomized options to build fun, balanced, or sometimes just silly lists.
- Sharing and Saving your Role Deck: With the ability to save, export, and import role lists at the click of a button it has never been easier to navigate custom lobbies.
- Banning Roles: On top of choosing roles to be in the game, you can ban roles to ensure they don't appear.
- Choose your Adventure: Experiment with all kinds of settings such as vision range, movement speed, ability cooldowns and more. Don't forget to share these lists with your friends and with the community as whole!

Returning characters and roles from Town of Salem, such as the Mayor and Vigilante, help the world to feel familiar, but a heap of new roles, strategies, and features like quest, spells, and boons keep this game feeling fresh!
