Traitors in Salem Enters Early Access Beta April 22nd, 2022
The Salem universe will be forever changed in just seven days! The Necronimicon’s power is swelling, and the minds of the Town are being corrupted. Help the Town to banish the Necronomicon for good, or fall prey to the influence of the Necronomicon and destroy the Town. With 31 unique roles use your abilities to gain information, enhance your character, deceive, or kill other players! Save the Town, or Destroy it. With abilities like investigating players to find out if they are good or evil, forcing a player to defend themselves on the stand, creating illusions of players and more, there is never a dull moment.
Possessed by the Necronomicon, Traitors fight to gain control of the Town and free the Necronomicon from its failing prison. As a Traitor, sneaking and stealth are your best allies. Kill Town members to protect the Necronomicon! Use your role's abilities to do things like burn away dead bodies, convert Town members over to the side of Evil, or block all Town members from using abilities! Use Spells granted to you by the Necronomicon to give yourself the advantage over the Town by blocking their paths with overgrown brambles, displacing players to random areas around the map, or summoning powerful totems that must be dispelled or Town will be slowed, have reduced vision, or will outright be killed! Almost anything a Town member can do, you can too!
Deal with all of the Traitors to the Town, or complete all of the quests needed to banish the Necronomicon in order to win! Use your role's abilities to do things like reveal yourself to the town as innocent, track down a killer from a dead body, and even take matters into your own hand and deal out vigilante justice! Do what you can to counteract the powerful magic used by the Traitors. Find secret passages, flag down boats, and fix broken bridges to help get around the town. Use Telescopes, confer with Ghost NPCs, use the Runeboard, and more to gain information about your so-called innocent friends. Use the Town Bell to call a Town Meeting if you see anything out of the ordinary. Report a body to call a Town Meeting. Hang anyone suspicious at the gallows and save Salem!
NPCs are scattered around the Town. Interact with them to get quests that contribute to the Town's victory, give you special personal perks, or unlock different abilities!
Play as one of 15 amazing cosmetic characters. More characters and character skins are unlockable! Pets too!
Custom Role Lists:
Create Role Lists: Choose from the 31 unique roles specifically, or between sets of randomized options to build fun, balanced, or sometimes just silly lists.
Sharing and Saving your Role Deck: With the ability to save, export, and import role lists at the click of a button it has never been easier to navigate custom lobbies.
Banning Roles: On top of choosing roles to be in the game, you can ban roles to ensure they don't appear.
Choose your Adventure: Experiment with all kinds of settings such as vision range, movement speed, ability cooldowns and more. Don't forget to share these lists with your friends and with the community as whole!
Familiar: Returning characters and roles from Town of Salem, such as the Mayor and Vigilante, help the world to feel familiar, but a heap of new roles, strategies, and features like quest, spells, and boons keep this game feeling fresh!
Roam The Town: Explore Salem in ways you never could before with the ability to control your character's movements, teleport, or unlock hidden passages! Salem has never felt so real, so get out there and explore it!
Plenty of ways to get your point across!:
In-game text chat: Chat with other players during the lobby, discussion, and trial phases of the game.
Game-Wide Voice chat: Voice Chat is integrated (built-in) to Traitors in Salem. Global Voice Chat is available during the lobby, discussion, and trial phases of the game.
Proximity Voice: On top of the normal Global Voice Chat, there is also Proximity Voice Chat for chatting with those near you (enforced by the server) during gameplay.
The power of the Necronomicon continues to grow, its power seeping through its shackles! Salem is washed over by a dark influence, strange happenings are afoot. Until one day, a body is found. The townsfolk flash back to a past life filled with distrust and mob hysteria.
"The killer must be hanged!"
The old gallows are restored to their former infamy in the town square. Salem is in disarray once again.

We recently ran into some issues with new registrations and linking through Steam not working. It seems as though Steam deprecated an API call that we previously used, but the issues is now resolved. If you previously couldn't link, or create an account you should be able to now.

Patch 3.3.6 Facebook Integration Update
Hey Townies,
Today we are releasing Town of Salem patch 3.3.6. This patch updates our Facebook integration to keep it current. This should not effect Steam. We also stomped a couple of bugs. Happy hanging!
Changes • Facebook Integration: Upgraded to Facebook for Unity SDK 9.2.0 as Facebook will stop supporting the previous version we used.
Bug Fixes • Game Chat: Fixed incorrect color on killed by Serial Killer announcement. • Coven Custom Game Mode: Vigilante was restored to the Town roles available.

Traitors in Salem: Role Deck Creation, Saving, and Sharing!
Hey Townies!
Today we are giving a sneak peak at the Custom Role Deck builder for Traitors in Salem!
Building a Role Deck is the first step in the Custom Game Mode for Traitors In Salem. Choose which Roles you want in your Role Deck from the list of available Roles. You can then save a Role Deck, and share it with your friends. Saving a Role Deck will allow you to be able to quickly and easy load your favorite setup when you host a custom game. The sharing feature will allow you to copy a code that can be given to other players to import your Role Deck into their custom lobbies!
