PAX East 2024 and the latest from Toy Tactics
PAX East 2024 was amazing! It took place from March 21-24 and is the first physical event of the year that Toy Tactics attended.
We have always enjoyed being in these type of events but this year was very special: we had a solo booth for Toy Tactics where we received a lot of people of all ages, influencers and press, who enjoyed the game, gave us their feedback and as a thank you for stopping by, we gave away exclusive merch for them to take home a little bit of Toy Tactics.
Really, you don't know how grateful we are for your kind comments, to all the people who came back to play 3 or 4 times because they fell in love with Toy Tactics and for all the support during and after the event. All this love inspires us and we are more than excited to announce that Toy Tactics will be fully released on all consoles in Q3 of this year.
The latest on Toy Tactics:
Toy Tactics was launched in Early Access in March 2023, and since then, it has received significant content updates, resulting in over 25 hours of gameplay where you can enjoy:
5 armies with their own abilities: Imperium (Roman Army), Pendragon (Medieval Army), Kyoukai (Samurai Army), Freebooters (Pirates Army), and Draugr (Skeleton Army: Before your enemies, now you can control them).
6 unique main units (infantry, archer, cavalry, heroe, king and queen) and unique secondary units (animals, siege units, and special units). More than 40 units available with different strengths and weaknesses.
5 different spell trees: one per faction, with 16 spells related to the main abilities of the armies. 80 different spells to cast anywhere 💀
5 relic collections: one collection per faction, 3 relics to choose for each unit to change passive abilities, 18 relics per army and 90 different relics.
5 settings: including terrains, vegetation, trees and faction related contraptions.
6 final bosses.
5 playing modes:
Campaign: 5 campaigns with more than 60 levels filled with primary and secondary objectives.
Skirmish: 5 long levels to conquer and defend while producing new units.
Puzzles: 6 campaigns with over 60 puzzles to solve, based on strategic concepts.
Mercenaries: 6 mercenary campaigns to beat while buying any unit within an initial budget. More than 60 challenges available.
Creative: 10 different levels in which to create your own battles.
What to expect at full release?
Toy Tactics will arrive on all consoles this year, featuring a mode highly anticipated by many: online multiplayer.
In the "multiplayer mode," you'll be able to engage in both competitive and cooperative experiences.
On one hand, there's "1vs1," which will be the "competitive mode" where you'll face off against another player, where strategic skill and quick decision-making will be paramount.
Looking for an intense battle? In 1vs1 battles, you can carefully build your army, select powerful relics and spells, and meticulously plan your tactics to emerge victorious.
On the other hand, in the "cooperative mode," you can have your ally, join forces, and combat the formidable opponent controlled by the AI. Together, you'll need to devise strategies, coordinate your actions, and efficiently produce units to survive the relentless siege.
All roads lead to Rome... and victory! ⚔️

WHAT'S THE BUZZ
With hard work paying off, we have some exciting news - face off against various groups of foes in quick and the many levels we have added. The twist? Here, you can purchase an array of units, powers, and even animals to aid you in your epic battles. But be careful not to over spend, as your budget is limited, which demands strategic choices for the players.

You’ll be able to explore diverse settings, each featuring unique situations for every faction, as well as a wide variety of units and powers to construct your ultimate lineup:

Have you ever thought about using animals as bait? Now we have you covered with options like sheep, pigs, and even cows!
In this update, you can master the art of economic management and combat strategy as you progress through levels, facing the most hilarious and absurd situations imaginable.
WHY YOU SHOULD DIVE IN
The Mercenary mode is where the real magic happens. It's a complete departure from your usual campaign strategy, embracing trial and error with fast progression. All scenarios are unprecedentedly wacky, which we believe will keep you hooked for hours!
⚔️ CHALLENGES AND NEW CONTENT ⚔️
Several levels have been added corresponding to each playable faction. The creation of these levels has been based on the special feature/gift/power that the faction has.
Roman = Rebuild ruins/structures.
Medieval = Leader fusions with specific units.
Samurai = Stealth in the fog.
Pirates = Ghost mode that allows you to go through things and the ability to be a little faster than other units in the water.
Basic levels have been balanced to get the best playable experience.
The UI of the challenge mode has been improved.
The progress of played/completed challenges is now saved.
Spells can now be used in challenge mode.
Fixed some bugs
CHALLENGE MODE WHY?
With the challenge mode, your strategies will change with the new puzzle mode that is small, quick, and concise, and that you can repeat several times. You can use this knowledge in any other game mode, mainly in the campaign.
WHAT DOES IT ADD?
We know that it is important in a game of strategies and physics to be able to exploit them to get the most out of it. Good, quality content. With this mode, the game is approached differently than in the campaign.
LET'S TALK ABOUT LEVELS
The challenge mode is divided into sections.

Basic or essentials
is a kind of tutorial that teaches the strategies of each unit, their strengths and weaknesses.
Roman
We added the Roman mechanics factor: the ability to rebuild ruined structures. Catapults, towers, and the faction's unique spells with the element of fire predominating in many of them.
Medieval:
The ability to merge leaders with different types of units. The weapon or skills are changed by merging them with different types of units (archers, infantry, cavalry and heroes) and playing with spells in which the element of ice predominates.
Samurai:
As good ninjas, stealth and fog is a very important part of this faction. Different challenges have been built, and new weapons called ‘mortar’ or ‘rock’ throwers are also added, where the predominant element is the poison.
Pirates:
Mechanically, you can become ghosts for a few seconds by dragging the formation while a pirate melody plays. Water, since they are pirates, is also an important element. There are even some armed crabs that will help you in your battles!
