<*> Something I did not cover in the last patch, level size. As you may have noticed levels are now much bigger as far as surface area goes,more room on the battle field. From the start I wanted Saint to be about larger scale battles, taking out weaker enemies before smaller ones etc. After lots of testing I enjoy the bigger battles much more, I hope you do too.
<*> Saint now has all new charging animations, the older ones were just kind of meh, needed something a little more epic! EPIC!
<*> Small changes have been made to level 3-1 and level 3-2 has been completely re-designed. (Blue Zone)
<*> Saves are back! Woot!

Greetings, I am always excited to drop a new patch, especially when it has been a while and there are many new things to see and experience.
Lots of new artwork, new enemies and much needed changes to levels are included in this beefy patch.
This patch will be followed up by a couple smaller patches tomorrow evening that will include the save feature, an achievement for defeating the third boss and further changes to the blue zone. I hope it was worth the wait, Enjoy!
<*>Increased stamina recharge rate.
<*>Updated the skill room, no longer shows the HUD. The "Focus" and "Override" skills have been removed, these enhancements will soon be added to two new items.
<*>Most enemies have completely new weapon sprites with hands included, they flip accordingly now just like saint's weapon.
<*> Green Zone levels 1-1 and 1-2 have been changed slightly.
<*>Red Zone levels 1-1 and 1-2 have been completely redesigned.
<*>Nuts and bolts now fly off enemies as you tear into them with your weapon.
<*>Updated player and enemy projectiles, they now have colored smoke and matching ash trails.
<*>The "Scavenger" enemies have been re-done, now come in blue, green and purple.
<*>The "Scout" Enemy artwork has been changed slightly.
<*>The "Praetor" enemy has new artwork.
<*>The "Rugetta" enemy has new artwork
<*>Added new enemy the "Breaker".These red, hot tempered enemies shoot shotgun like blasts of damaging particles.You can find them on level 1-2, Green Zone.
<*>The blue zone boss (Boss three) has been completely re-designed and has new artwork. Two smaller versions of himself now fight along side, these must now be taken out before saint can get close enough to cause damage to the bosses delicate head jewel.
<*>Added new tile props to all levels.
<*>The cross hair sprites have been changed.
<*>Added new sounds for saint's primary musket shot.
<*>The "Trigger Saint Game Guide" in the discussions section has been updated and new enemy names and descriptions have been added.
You may find a few bugs as this was a pretty large patch, make sure you report any problems/bugs you have below. Thanks!

New Patch Coming Soon!
I am very sorry as things on Saint's end have been very hush hush.I have spent most of my time lately working on Saint and haven't had much time for anything else, patches, announcements, Twitter posts, discussion updates etc.
You can expect a new patch within the next couple days that includes smoother game play for older machines, new enemies, new artwork and new level designs.
I want Saint ready for full release within the next month or two so it's really crunch time. I am very excited as Saint is getting closer and closer to what I imagined it would be from the start, I hope you are too.

Greetings, the newest saint patch is now live! I am very sorry it has been so long, it took a while to add all of the new level tiles and clouds. This patch includes some big visual changes to levels and also an intro into challenges and hero coins. Enjoy!
<*>Skill points are now known as "Skill Coins" to prevent confusion with the new "Hero Coins" mechanics.
<*>Added a new type of rare coin, the "Hero Coin". These will now be dropped by enemies and chests randomly. You will have a higher chance of finding these on tough enemies and hard to find chests.
Most importantly these coins will "save over" when you exit the game, exit to the menu or die. Meaning that your total hero coins will save even through patches.
Your total hero coins will now determine what your musket's visual appearance, it will evolve with every fifty hero coins you can find.
Hero coins drops are random, some runs you may find many some runs you may find only a few.
Hero coins will also determine what challenge rooms will be available to you, these rooms are still under construction and will not be available until the next saint patch.
Save up those hero coins!
The more you have come next patch the more challenge rooms will be available to you.
<*>Total kills no longer effect your musket's visual appearance.
<*> Due to heavy lag from clouds on some levels they have now been changed. Clouds were causing enough lag to make saint unplayable for some. All level clouds have been re-done and rather than being objects are now moving backgrounds, I think they look a lot better and hopefully saint will be less laggy for those having issues. If you still are having problems after this patch please let me know.
<*>All level tiles have been redone, they are much thinner now and it gives me more freedom with what I can build in levels with tiles. Expect to see much more tile/level variety in the next few patches.
<*>Saint's musket now flips when facing the other direction, it looked a bit "awkward" before.
<*>Added scrolling text to story screen.
<*>Fixed bug crash involving floating enemies in the red zone.

<*>The achievement "Trigger King" 10,000 lifetime kills has been reduced to 5000 kills and the "Trigger Flash" achievement has been removed.

Finally got around to rolling out a new patch, I didn't get to as much as I planned but still there are a few major changes and some bug fixes here for ya.
I will be re-doing the way tiles are laid out in levels giving them a much more varied look, I wanted to update before I started with the changes as they will be pretty drastic, enjoy the patch!
<*>First important change, I will now be using a different program to animate. Rather than hand drawing frame by frame I will be cutting animations into pieces and animating that way, half of the enemies have already had their animations redone. They have a much more realistic look now and I'm very pleased with the end results.
<*>From the start I have wanted to emphasize the items and item lore in Trigger Saint, so.. I have made the inventory slots a bit bigger so the items are a little easier to see and have more detail. I'm still not completely sure about the HUD position but I still like them a bit bigger and it works well. Let me know what you think!
<*>Another big change, items on the ground now show up as "Gift Boxes" (small paper boxes), item identity is not revealed until you have picked up the gift box. This will help me in a few different ways and I can make a larger variety of items without being restricted by size or angle. This should also give a an interesting twist to item choice and game decisions.
<*>Trigger Saint's muskets now have a new look, the muskets before did not show hands so the musket just seemed to float there. Now the muskets have hands gripping them tightly and have a darker feel, I like the new look and I hope you do too.
<*>Added some new tiles to the green zone.
<*>Added two new items, the "Enchanted Wrist Guard" and "Spirit Beads".Spirit beads increase your max spirit by ten and the enchanted wrist guard raises your attack by two.
<*>Some have been having problems with "Cloud Lag". I have spent a while tweaking clouds/spawn times etc. and I think it is working pretty well now. Let me know if you are still having problems with this.
<*>When you select "Exit To Main Menu" in game you will now exit to the main menu instead of going all the way the the start game screen.
<*>Other small bug fixes, changes and optimizations.

I am also working on a new patch with content and goodies galore, expect to see it within the next couple of weeks. I am going out of town on a much needed vacation come Saturday so I wont be working on Saint a few days following, if you have any questions or suggestions please let me know before I take off so we can get it taken care of.

I have finally got a chance to work on some new skills for the skills screen, they are included in this small patch along with some other new content.
<*>Added new skill "Endurance" each upgrade raises your max stamina by 10. Cost: 200 Skill Points
<*>Added new skill "Sacrifice" spend 500 skill points to refill your health!
<*>Chests now have a new look! Chests that contain skill coins blink green, chests that contain items blink purple.

<*>Made layout changes to lvl 3-2 Blue Zone.
<*>Max stamina is now included in the stats section on the skill screen.

I am very sorry as I have had to remove the save feature yet again. It is currently causing more harm than good. I am patching often and this causes corrupt saves (missing objects, text , items and tiles). The save feature will be brought back eventually but I cannot guarantee when. This is a small patch covering small issues and bugs.

(Edit) Both hardcore and normal modes now have the save feature enabled, with hardcore mode you will lose your save on death, normal mode you will not.
