Update 1.69-9 Patch Notes

It turned out that I didn't have strep, it was COVID... The recovery process was longer than I thought, and even after I got better, the long-lasting fatigue makes it very difficult to do work. So I might not be able to release the Shadow Master DLC on time as I planned, but I'll try my best :)

Some changes in 1.69-9:

- Fixed a bug with invaders in random invasion events not proceeding to their destinations

- Now when the invaders spawn, you will receive a radio notification

- Increased the durability of AETHR armor

- In Dead Zone mode, Larry will sell the ballistic shield after you gain 100% reputation with him

- Seeds now have a stack size of 50!

- You can now turn on and off torches

- Greatly reduced the chance where an invaded faction gets wiped out

Time to Wishlist Shadow Master DLC! And A Small Update

Like usual, I always end up doing more work than I originally planned :P I found myself writing a whole "novel" for the Shadow Master DLC, and I really hope I can get everything done by 7/24. If not, may be a few days late. It didn't help that I also got strep throat and I've been feeling really sick these days.

Also a few updates in 1.69-7:

- Fixed a bug with motorcycle spawning far from the player in ravenwood

- Raised the point of aim when locking on to an enemy, while using ChaseCam and Gamepad control scheme

- Fixed the inaccurate aim of the crossbow

Update 1.69-6 Patch Notes

- Added a task entry (checklist) that reminds player to bring Potion to Larry

- Fixed a bug with throwing knife not able to be picked up after bouncing off of a character

- Fixed a bug with not able to click button in the UI when a connected controller has a drifting right stick

- Added the ability to pick up 1 item from the stack by Shift + Right-Click in the inventory

Update 1.69-4 Patch Notes

- Re-balanced melee weapon damages to prepare for the new melee weapons in Shadow Master DLC

- Fixed a bug where the RPG will explode on the cover which player is standing behind

- Fixed a bug where taking off the Heavy Armor does not remove the carry weight buff

- Made the AIROTEK helmet icon smaller

Announcing Shadow Master Event for Stealth Fest!



Steam is having a Stealth Fest in late July. To follow the "sneaky spirit", I decided to make a DLC that specifically caters to folks who really enjoy the stealth gameplay!

The Shadow Master DLC will include:

- A new game mode called "Sticks and Stones", where you are not allowed to use any guns - only melee weapons ("sticks") and grenades ("stones").

- New melee weapon: Sledge Hammer, which has an enormous blunt damage that crushes through armor!

- New melee weapon: Combat Knife, which is not only the fastest melee weapon, but also allows you to perform a fast stealth kill against humans, and magnified damage against unaware ghouls.

- New ranged weapon: Ballistic Knife, which silently shoots a knife for a short range and can be paired with the Ballistic Shield.

- New crossbow bolt type: Explosive-Tip Bolt, which explodes upon impact.

- New armor: the "Death Shroud" Stealth Armor, which reduces visibility at night and also reduces player's footstep noise.

- New hitman quests where you will be given a target to silently eliminate for some blood money!

Well, I have less than a month to make all these happen so I better get going now :)

Update 1.69-3 Patch Notes

- Added a new helmet that comes with a gas mask: the AIROTEK Respirator. You can buy it from Grigori after reaching 100% relationship with the Lake Cossacks, or, in NG+ you can find it in the underground lab in Ashinaka.

- Fixed a bug with grenade launcher not able to shoot properly with non-english language

- Added a task that reminds player to go back to Jacob after finding the location of Amir

- Fixed a bug with mutants sending distress signals (lol)

- Player will not be able to sprint while in water

- Moved the motorcycle in Ravenwood Valleys to near the player house

- When you try to click on a planting hole while not holding the shovel, the character will pull out the shovel. This is to avoid some confusion

- Planting mounds will light up when focused on

- Improved the mouse sensitivity for mouselook.

- Fixed a bug where if you press ESC to open options page while aiming down sight, the cursor is not showing

Update 1.69-2 Patch Notes

- Wooden shield and ballistic shield will now block some explosive attack if you are facing the source of explosive attack

- Shields will block portion of the babayaga electric damage

- Fixed a bug where only the first sidearm slot's weapon is considered when opening container that require weapon

- Fixed a bug where mutants might replay the attacking animation after it dies as player gets close

- Reduced scythe's health, especially in NG+

- Reduced the health buff for elite versions of mutants

- You can now press ESC to close the ingredient jar/keychain/medkit window when you are holding an item

- Fixed a bug in NG+ where more than one elite mutant might be spawned at the same time

- Fixed a bug where you can talk to Jacob about "interview" and end up resetting his quest progress

- If there is no OldSaves.dat in the save game folder, but there is SaveGame.dat, the "Continue" button in the main menu will load the SaveGame.dat directly

Update 1.69-1 Patch Notes

- Fixed a new bug where each enemy NPC you kill will display the "customer has died" error

- Moved the spawn point of Bootleggers in the village so that they don't spawn outside the walls

- Further reduced the noise level of strangling in NG+

This is an emergency patch to fix the first bug ASAP. There are a few more things I'm working on and will release them at a later date. Thank you for your patience!

Equip *TWO* Sidearms!

Many folks (including Splat himself!) have requested the ability to equip two sidearms. I finally got around to make it happen! But God it was some messy code :) Now you can equip two sidearms, and toggle between them by holding down [1] key. For example, you can equip two melee weapons, one for unarmored ghouls, and one for armored ghouls and trees, etc.



Also, other changes included in 1.69 major update:

1. If you own the Dead Zone DLC, you can get access to the motorcycle in Normal Mode game as well. It's right outside the Zernaskaya village.

2. 4 gauge shotgun rounds now have more armor-piercing quality

3. You can now use SHIFT+Click to move items from backpack into special containers such as keychain, medkit, and the ingredient jar.

4. Placed two arrows at the player house in Ravenwood Valleys next to the boat, because there are actually two portals there, one taking you across the river and one to Lake Kraken

5. Placed more AP ammo in the map for Nightmare/Dead Zone modes

6. Fixed a bug where a random invasion might cause your food order customer to die, and yet the order is still active

7. Added a console cheat command to add skill points

8. Added a button at the "Save Game is Corrupted" error page to return to main menu

9. Added a "RT" icon for Right-Trigger next to nametags to show controller players that pressing RT is the way to interact with it

10. Fixed a bug where the motorcycle might take you to locked locations

11. Fixed a bug where the motorcycle travel destinations show "Unknown" for Ravenwood

12. Added sound effects to various places where you click the little triangle to cycle through options

Update 1.68-5 Patch Notes

- Fixed yet another bug with motorcycle storage in NG+
- When submitting an armor for quest, if the armor is worn on the body, it must be taken off in order for the game to recognize that you have it. This is to prevent a bug where the armor is removed but there are still items in the pockets.
