TY the Tasmanian Tiger 4: Bush Rescue Returns released on default branch
Hi all!
Krome Studios is pleased to announce that we've made the TY the Tasmanian Tiger 4: Bush Rescue Returns release live for all users on the default branch on Steam.
A new update should download and you'll all be able to access the new update, including:
Full English voice-overs featuring an all-star cast you'll recognize as TY's old mates!
Remastered and updated SFX and music
Improved graphics and remastered extended cutscenes as comic style animated movies
Upon the first boot of the new build, your progress from the previous release should be applied to the new update. You will be returned to New Burramudgee and simply need to select "Keep Playing" to continue your game.
If you should get the hankering to play the original release, we have made a permanent new beta branch called "classic" that you can use to access. Just keep in mind that progress from the new version will not be replicated in to the classic branch, and if you progress in the classic branch progress will not apply to the new build on default either, without going to the options and selecting the option to re-apply the classic save game. Wow... that was a mouthful!

We've pushed a new build to the OPEN BETA branch!
CHANGES
Fix for music not playing correctly during the credits
Re-positioned the infinirang to sit in the middle of the screen when awarded to TY
Small fixes for the 'Restore Original' menu item to reload the original Steam TY4 save game and copy its progression

In "Beta Participation" section, change the dropdown to the "openbeta" option

MAJOR CHANGES
Added custom mouse cursors
Fixes for the game to display correctly at 16:10 aspect ratios
Fixes for the visible resolutions available in the Graphics Settings
Updated the control settings screen to reflect the controls as they work in Bush Rescue Returns
Fixes for a few PC specific crashes and asserts
Corrected the way that the rangs are thrown if you are playing without mouse - it will no longer target the invisible mouse cursor (ie will act like the original TY4 release)

G'day, TY the Tasmanian Tiger fans!
Krome Studios is pleased to announce that there is a new OPEN BETA for TY4 which adds in Bush Rescue Returns content to Steam!
This new version adds:
Full English voice-overs, featuring an all-star cast, some of whom you'll recognize as TY's old mates!
Remastered and extended animated cinematics (replacing the original 'comic book' cutscenes).
An improved audio experience, including some music updates and additions.
More costume cosmetics added as paid DLC for $9.99... yeah-nah, just kidding - you just use in-game opals to buy them as usual.
The ability to reset your save game to play again (in the Settings Menu)
Now, this is an open beta, so there are a few things to note:
Only 16:9 aspect ratios (eg 1280x720 or 1920x1080) look correct at the moment
We haven't implemented the custom cursor icons for the mouse pointer yet
There may be bugs, and there may be issues with performance - which is the point of the beta release. If you experience any issues, we'd appreciate you letting us know!
This update should keep all of your achievements, and it also should copy your progress over to the new save game format. You won't be at the same spot as your original TY4 save (you'll be on the main menu), but your major progress, unlocked costumes and rangs, and opals should carry over.
We've also implemented a "Restore" option to the Settings Menu. Restore will your original TY4 save game again. We've done this so that if we need to push new updates people can resume from their original save again, and also so that we don't touch the original save game at all. This way, if you want to opt back out of the beta, you can and your save game is still there to use on the original version of the game!
So please - give the Open Beta a go, and let us know. There are details below on how to opt-in and where to post any issues.
