Ultimechs version 1.7 is now live! - Bots & Improvements Update

Pilots, the newest version of Ultimechs is now available for you to download. This update focuses on improving and optimizing many parts of the game including bots, gameplay and various game modes!

Version 1.7 also introduces the “Play vs AI” mode where players can now play and gain experience from playing versus the newly improved bots.

While queuing for game modes, players can now also choose to play versus bots while waiting for a match to not have to wait in the garage.

For gameplay we’ve taken another look at the overall feel of the game and aimed to reduce frustrating or confusing scenarios where players may have felt like their actions didn’t translate properly to their actions. This includes changes to the ball, movement, GauntJets… and well pretty much everything in the game! We hope that this will make the game easier to get into, while not moving away from players being able to express themselves with great and skilled plays.

Those chasing the top spots on the leaderboards will be happy to know that we’ve also added a ton of new types of leaderboards both for 1vs1 and 2vs2!

Finally, we’ve decided to switch the competitive seasons in the game to be 1 month long starting March 1, which is when the 1st competitive season will end.

Hotfix - Fixed Crash Issue

Ultimechs Server Hotfix - Competitive Matchmaking Adjustments

Hello there Pilots!

We hope you enjoyed the winter holidays, and that you've had many great matches now in Season 2 of Ultimechs. Today we adjusted the matchmaking in the game to accommodate for some inconsistencies we've noted now that we have more players in the higher ranks!

  • A minimum threshold for losing and gaining points in competitive has been added.
  • Winning and losing streaks have been adjusted.

To summarize, we saw a percentage of the games giving no points when either winning or losing matches with high contrasting ranks. Now all players should always gain or lose points when playing a competitive match.

Some of you may have noticed that winning and losing streaks have been added to the game. We added these in to make it easier and faster for players to get their correct rank. So should you have a similar result for several games, this will then affect the competitive points you get for your rank.

We hope you enjoy these changes and continue to support the game!

Ultimechs XP Boost Day! Play today for more rewards!

Ultimechs S2 is now live! UltiPass 2, Arcade Mode, GauntJet Trails and more!

Welcome to Season 2 of Ultimechs, pilot!

Featuring a new UltiPass, Arcade Mode, GauntJet Trails and more! The Season 2 update brings Ultimechs to version 1.6 where we’ve focused our attention on bringing you more content, and continue our mission to make the game the best it can be!

UltiPass 2 is now available in the game, and features a new customization option, the GauntJet trails. With these you can highlight your plays in the arena and make sure that the opponents know who’s scoring on them. Several of them are available in the game now, so unlock them and pick your favorite!

We also wanted to highlight that now that UltiPass 2 is out, if you haven't finished UltiPass 1 yet, don’t worry. You can decide which UltiPass you’d like to progress in the main menu and finish the tiers at your own pace!

With the new UltiPass, we’ve also included a Free Gift to everyone who has supported the game so far! Thank you for believing in us and the game. Make sure to claim it before it expires after the winter holidays. Besides the Free Gift, we’ve also added the QNTM (Quantum) Pack to the game! This is an exclusive package for the ultimate Ultimechs fans, including Headgear, GauntJet Trail, Palettes, Patterns and UltiCoins not found in the UltiPasses!

In version 1.6 Casual Mode has now been replaced with Arcade Mode along with plenty of changes coming to Competitive Mode. We want to give new players an opportunity to ease themselves into the game, and for everyone else to relax and focus on having fun in the game! In Arcade Mode you’ll see a lot more Supercharges, and other balance changes like GauntJets returning faster to you than what you’re used to.

For Competitive Mode, we’ve heard the calls from our community, and we’ll once again lower the number of Supercharges being spawned in the arena. The feedback from our community is very important to us, and we’re thankful for the honest opinions shared by members of our community.

Another aspect of the game that we’ve had a lot of feedback on is the social system and how parties work. In this update, we’ve honed in on these aspects and have made a few changes which hopefully will fix some of the issues we’ve seen mentioned by our community. We’ve now optimized this entire process, invites now have expiration times, along with sound effects to go along with them. We hope you enjoy these changes and that it makes it easier for you to get into the game with your friends!

Ultimechs version 1.5 is now live! - Competitive Mode Update

It’s time to ignite the competition with the launch of the Competitive Mode in Ultimechs! In this update, we’re introducing competitive mode, players' ranks, and leaderboards to the game. Competitive Mode is available in the play menu and starts out with the Cadet rank.

When playing Competitive Mode, players will play 10 placement matches in both 1vs1 and 2vs2 before receiving an appropriate rank. Ranks will correspond to the global leaderboards found in the left side menu in the main menu which are divided into displaying 1vs1 and 2vs2.

For Competitive Mode, if a match ends in a tie, instead of going to a Golden Goal, players will instead go into Sudden Death mode. Similarly to Golden Goal, the first team or player that scores for their side wins, however, the goals will stay the same in size as in a regular match.

Golden Goal will still remain in the unranked mode which we’ve renamed to Casual Mode. Please note that you can now switch between Sudden Death or Golden Goal in match settings of Custom Games.

Besides the Casual & Competitive Mode, we’ve also taken another look at resolving some critical issues found in the game, encouraging players to stay for the entire matches, and making the introduction to the game a bit more smooth for new players.

Here are the changes made to the game in Version 1.5:

Game Updates

  • Changed name for Unranked mode to Casual Mode.
  • Enabled voice chat for all 1vs1 matches.
  • Decreased time to reset the arena when scoring in Training.
  • Competitive Mode is now available in the Play Menu.
  • Added Sudden Death mode to Competitive Mode.
  • Added Sudden Death or Golden Goal setting in Custom Games.
  • Tutorial is now shorter and more concise.
  • The first player to leave a match now receives a matchmaking ban.
  • All players who abandon a match are now denied the Match Completion XP bonus.
  • All those who abandon a match now receive a loss. Other stats are updated normally.
  • The ball is always repelled by the HoloWall regardless of its health.
  • The Scoreboard now reflects player score only.
  • Moved the “Send Bug Log” button to the Options menu.
  • Optimized loading screen time for both offline & online matches.
  • Fixed an issue where an extra palette would appear in the Palette menu.
  • Fixed an issue where Nitro supercharge caused the game to freeze for the player who used it.

Balance Updates

  • Arena: Reverted the Supercharge spawn rate to values in 1.3.
  • Arena: Adjusted the speed of dashing between dashpads.
  • All Classes: Improved the GauntJet steering responsiveness.
  • All Classes: Removed steering bonus multiplier when supercharged.
  • All Classes: Lowered the base GauntJet power of all mechs.
  • Viper: Increased GauntJet speed when supercharged.
  • Viper: Decreased GauntJet power when supercharged.
  • Nitro: Slightly increased the steering sensitivity of GauntJets.
  • Nitro: Lowered the GauntJet recovery time after using a supercharge (8s → 7.5s).
  • Titan: Decreased GauntJet speed when supercharged.
  • Titan: Increased GauntJet power when supercharged.
  • Titan: Lowered the GauntJet recovery time after using a supercharge (7s → 6s).

Known Issues

  • The party system sometimes locks out parties from playing together. We are looking into the cause for this and are actively working on making the friends and party systems in the game better.

With that we wish you all the best when jumping into the competitive mode in 1.5 of Ultimechs! We can’t wait to see who takes the top spots in the Ace rank, but also the progression of the community overall.

Keep in mind that if you’d like to suggest something for the game, we have a suggestion board specifically for this! While we can’t promise any changes, posting here helps us understand what the community would like to see in Ultimechs.

Of course, if you’d like to meet and discuss the game with us and others, then you can also join the Ultimechs Reddit and the Ultimechs Discord!

Update on the Ranked Mode of Ultimechs!

Hey Pilots, we have some unfortunate news to share with you today.

We've been hard at work in bringing you the ranked mode for Ultimechs as soon as we could. In our development, we've run into some critical issues when developing this feature, and because of that, we had to take the tough decision to delay the release of ranked mode slightly.

However, with this, we also wanted to share the release date of 1.5 of Ultimechs which will be November 23rd now instead - and will include the release of the Ranked Mode, as well as the launch of leaderboards in the game.

We're super thankful for your support of the game, and we hope that you'll be excited to compete for the rank tiers in the game when they are released.
