A few weeks back we celebrated the launch of the game, and what better way to do it than to host an in-person 2vs2 tournament!? We put together some highlights of the event, along with showcasing the lower & grand finals of the event! With commentary from our community manager Defur, along with our developer Clint!
Ultimechs Game Update 1.4 - Voice Chat & Balancing
Pilot, do you copy? A new Ultimechs update has just dropped! In this one, we’ve focused mainly on two things, Voice Chat & Balancing! We’ve heard the calls to be able to talk to your fellow mech pilots in the arenas, and for 1.4 we’re enabling this by default for all 2v2 matches. Along with it, we’ve added some features to make it easier for you to mute and unmute players in-game.
As for the balancing, we’ve identified a few elements that we’d like to adjust. While we feel like the game is in a good place currently, we’ve seen a lot of plays focusing heavily on the Supercharges. While Supercharges is an important aspect of the game, we’d like to scale this back slightly to have players more focus on the general play in the match as well.
Along with this, we’ve taken a look at all the three classes and updated the stats of them.
Here are the changes made to the game in Version 1.4
Game Updates
Voice chat is now open by default for teammates in 2v2 matches.
A mute button has been added to the in-game menu.
Settings for Team & Party Chat have been added in the Audio tab of the Options menu.
(Steam) Fixed an issue where launching the game with controllers turned off caused hands to be stuck in the game.
(Steam) Fixed an issue where buttons would lose their binding in the game on Valve Index & HTC Vive.
Balance Updates
Arena: Increased arena friction for the ball to make it glide less.
Arena: Decreased Supercharge spawn rate at 4 mins left: 10s → 15s
Arena: Decreased Supercharge spawn rate at 3 mins left: 6s → 10s
Arena: Decreased Supercharge spawn rate at 2 mins left: 3s → 6s
Arena: Decreased Supercharge spawn rate at 1 mins left: 1s → 3s
All Classes: Heavily decreased physical GauntJet punch strength.
All Classes: GauntJets now more quickly scale at longer distances.
All Classes: Increased critical health warning: 10% → 20%
Viper: Decreased maximum GauntJet speed.
Viper: Decreased GauntJet steering sensitivity.
Viper: Increased the size of GauntJets.
Nitro: Decreased maximum GauntJet speed.
Nitro: Decreased GauntJet steering sensitivity.
Titan: HoloWall health now deteriorates after being activated.
Titan: Increased maximum HoloWall health : 75 HP → 100 HP
Titan: Decreased minimum HoloWall damage by ball.
Titan: Decreased HoloWall DPS: 50 HP → 25 HP

Ultimechs Server Maintenance in Preperation of 1.4
Due to an unforeseen server outage, to protect the player accounts, the server maintenance of Ultimechs will be extended in preperation of the release of version 1.4.
Unfortunately this will mean that the game will be offline up until around 7PM EST (in 8~ hours) later tonight. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and hope that you will enjoy the upcoming version 1.4 update of Ultimechs when it releases.

Ultimechs - Upcoming Features Sneak Peek!
Hello Pilots!
We've seen a ton of you getting into the game and getting good at scoring goals in a very short amount of time. We know that there are some features that you're looking forward to and some that you've hoped for us to work on.
Today we wanted to give you a sneak peek at what we have coming soon for the game!
🎧 Voice Chat: We know that you want to socialize more in Ultimechs, as such we're looking at ways to expand the voice chat system in the game to include teammates in 2vs2. We're very careful with this part of the system as we want to prevent toxicity in the game, but we also want you to get to know new players! We'll continue to observe what players think about this part of the game as we move forward as well.
🎉 Party System: Similarly to the Voice Chat system we know that this is an essential piece of Ultimechs and we'll be giving it extra care to live up to the standards that you anticipate for it! As well as resolving any remaining issues of it. As a reminder, if you do run into any issues, we'd love for you to share this with us so that our developers can take a closer look at it. You can send a request to us on our main page, or reach out to us in the Bug Forums on the official Ultimechs Discord.
🏅 Ranked Mode: This one should be obvious as it's already displayed in the game, but we wanted to reassure you that it's one of our top priorities to complete to give you something more to aim for when playing! We'll be detailing this mode more as we get closer to releasing it.
🏆 Leaderboards: Together with Ranked Mode, we'll introduce leaderboards to the game so that you can see for yourself where you rank in a lot of different ways than just player rank.
🎥 Spectator: Initially this is more directed to Tournament Organizers & Content Creators, but we're currently building a way for you to be able to watch and showcase the game. We're hoping that this will also help as competitions and leagues for the tournaments begin!
✨ Optimizations: This may also be obvious, but with each update we're continuously looking at the games health and where we can make it flow and perform better.

Ultimechs version 1.3 is now live!
Pilots! The first major Ultimechs update is here! Following a successful launch of the game, we’ve noted some issues that we set out to fix. We’ve also received a lot of great feedback from the community that has helped us locate bugs, and help us stay informed on things you value in the game. Thank you to everyone who’s played the game and helped us so far!
To show our appreciation, we’ve added 350 UltiCoins to your accounts to be spent as you’d like!
Here are the changes made to the game in Version 1.3:
Game Updates
Added a popup that tells players to update the game if a new version is available.
Changed so that If a glove is regenerating when a goal is scored and the arena is reset, the glove will be fully generated as well.
Player gloves now move more smoothly now when attached to the player.
Several optimizations made to reduce frame drops in matches.
Players kicked from a party will no longer get information about the party queueing for a match.
When scoring an equalizing goal in overtime, the game enters golden goal instead of going into a regular tossup.
Added an 'x' button to remove bots in the Custom match menu.
Timer in Free Practice mode now counts up.
Added missing description to Metal Hockey Mask in some languages.
Cleanup of the Dualistic pattern for the Titan that had some messy brushstrokes.
Added localization to the “Contact Us” tab.
Updated incorrectly formatted tutorial text in German.
Music triggers now on entering Golden Goal.
Coins now get updated immediately in the menu after completing a purchase.
Updated the prices of the UltiCoins.
(Steam) Updated the Valve Index grip button to be less sensitive.
(Steam) Improved the deadzone on the Vive trackpad.
Bug Fixes
Players will no longer get a loss in their stats when their opponents drop out or fail to connect.
Fixed an issue where the recenter button would not bring camera height in the game to the correct position. It should now always reset height to a fixed height for all players.
Fixed an issue where gloves could fly diagonally through the outer edge of opponent HoloWall without stopping.
Fixed an issue where the game freezes momentarily when entering a matchmaking queue.
Fixed an issue where the player banner name tags displayed the incorrect colors on the walls during matches.
Fixed an issue where mechs would skip animations in the garage.
The Banner background submenu in the Loadout menu now shows correct headings and icons
Corrected the position for the VFX of unlocking the Premium UltiPass.
Fixed an issue where the 3rd player tracker on a banner would repeat the 2nd one.
Fixed an issue where the game would default to English instead of the device language.

Ultimechs Server Hotfix - 1.2
Hello again pilots!
Work is continuing on our next big update. To answer your question, yes - we’re working on the ranked mode of the game. Once we have a solid date for this we’ll share it with all of you so you can gear up to take the top spots of the leaderboards!
For today's release of version 1.2 of Ultimechs, we’ve made some optimizations of how we handle the data on the servers to further improve the game. Please make sure to update the game so that you can match with other players.
Other than that, we’ve seen an incredible number of players joining the game the past weekend - and we’ve had several tournament organizers reaching out to us to start planning competitions for the game! If you’re interested in this, as well as talking with other players then we recommend joining our Discord Community.

First weekend of Ultimechs & UltiPass giveaway stream!
We're nearing the end of the first weekend of Ultimechs! First of all a HUGE thank you to everyone who has downloaded and played the game so far!
While we have noted issues that we have in the game, it seems like the game is working and a lot of players are playing! 😄 Thanks to player input we have also been able to tweak some things from the server side which should alleviate the party issues we mentioned earlier.
For today we have two things coming up for you! Today at 4PM EST VR Central will stream Ultimechs and in it, we have 2 UltiPasses to be given away throughout the stream 👀 , so make sure to tune in when it goes live and give it all of your support!
For us as a team, while we're past the launch, this is where the real work will begin! Next week we'll have a thorough look at everyone's bug reports, feedback & suggestions and work through the most immediate issues while we continue work on our first update. We will of course keep you updated, so stay tuned for that.
