June Tech Update 1
Hello everyone!
We hope you have been having fun checking out the demo and exploring some of UnderEarth. As you know we had our Oculus Rift launch party at UAT in the last half of May. We also have been working with some 3rd party testers for further input and also to check optimization on many different types of PC’s. We’ve gotten a lot of great input! The game is in its final stage of development, most updates and changes are now going to be under the hood adjustments. We will, of course, keep everyone up to date.
Here’s what’s been going on since the launch party and first round of testing.
Joe M. – Programmer
All light switches working. Save triggers are working. Light misc. bug fixing. End game squences being finalized. Game menu being finalized.
John – Senior 3D Artist
Completed all of the personal assests he created. Began loading and placing in appropriate areas. End game sequences artwork and textures for events.
Allison – Lead 3D Artist
Completed all personal assests models and textures. She also began the loading and placing them in all appropriate locations in game. End game sequences artwork and textures for events.
Joe W. – Lead Designer
Testing and finalizing Occulus Rift mechanics for the final portion of the game. Tweaking lighting. Tutorial added. End game sequnces being finalized.
Kerrigan – Junior Level Designer
Finalized water boiler system. Finalizing light wall puzzle. Game ending sequences being finalized.

May Tech Update 2
Hello again everyone!
I want to remind everyone that the UnderEarth Occulus Release Party is on May 19th! Details can be found on our Twitter.

Joe M. – Programmer
Save feature being refind with more points being added as developers do walkthroughs and testers give us feedback.
John – Senior 3D Artist
More personal effects, props, and small retextures.
Allison – Lead 3D Artist
More personal effects build, textured, and added to the environment. More decals and artwork added in game.
Joe W. – Lead Designer
Double checking kismet sequences for the lower blocks and Avalon block.
Kerrigan – Junior Level Designer
Cleaned up and refind multiple puzzles in the lower blocks leading to the end game. Is finalizing the rest in the following week.

May Tech Update 1
Hello everyone and welcome to our next tech release!
First off we would like to thank everyone for the overwhelmingly positive reviews of UnderEarth. We appreciate the time you took to stop by and check the game out at IndieCade and those that showed interest after the fact as well after talking with so many of you. We really look forward to bringing you the full game shortly.
On to the goodies! This post is picture heavy, please allow it to fully load.
Joe M. – Programmer
Has been working with both Kerrigan and Joe W. to finalize the game. Finalized all profiles and added them into game. Recoded save function.
John – Senior 3D Artist
Working on a final walkthrough to double check, tweak, and correct any final art and texture bugs.
Allison – Lead 3D Artist
Working on finalizing art in game. Adding final decals and drawing last set of achievement icons and trading cards.
Joe W. – Lead Designer
Has been working in a team with Kerrigan and Joe M finalizing the game. They have finished the first playable build and have been sending it out to testers.
Kerrigan – Junior Level Designer
Has been teaming up with both Joe’s in their final walkthrough and finalization of the game. Giving puzzles their final tweaks and double checking kismets sequences.
We are still working on finding out what is holding the demo back from publishing. We will get that info to you or get the demo published as soon as we find out!

April Tech Update 3
Welcome everyone to this weeks tech update! This week is not going to be to picture heavy since there is fine tuning going on with programing but most of the assets are done except those being retextured. Lets get into it!
Joe M. – Programmer
Half-lift collisions have been fixed in conjunction with Kerrigan’s work. All UDK elements have been removed and replaced. The new magnet actors are almost complete.
John – Senior 3D Artist
Finished new traversal hallways. Finished new textures to replace some of the older ones. General art and prop clean up.
Allison – Lead 3D Artist
Completed all the artwork for in game achievements. Is almost done with all trading card artwork.
Joe W. – Lead Designer
Has be checking puzzle continuity as well as teaming up with members for troubleshooting and work sessions. Two or three heads is better than one!
Kerrigan – Junior Level Designer
The half-lift collisions have been fixed. New modifications have been made to some of the lower blocks. Water overflow has been corrected for the water plant in the lower blocks.

April Tech Update 2
We have a live spotlight with Level Designer Kerrigan on our official twitch page this coming Tuesday April 12th at 2PM EST.
More collision correction with the delivery tubes. Submitted the demo to steam earlier this week for review, so it’s in the works! All half-lift bugs and glitches are corrected. The new key mapping is now loaded and working.
John – Senior 3D Artist
Redesigned a multi-story connection corridor for better aesthetics and better collision performance. Here is the final product below without the textures.
Allison – Lead 3D Artist
Alison has been finishing up extra props. She’s been finalizing the Admin building. She also has been finalizing the final artwork for trading cards and achievements.
Joe W. – Lead Designer
Corrected missing sounds. Promenade is fully completed. New decals added to appropriate chemicals and locations. Added more atmospheric props and corrected their collision. Paper documentations now placed and functioning.
Kerrigan – Junior Level Designer
Has been tightening up the kismets sequences in the upper blocks. Currently smoothing out TERA. The true highlight of her week was being attacked in game by a flower bed in one of the upper labs after adjusting a sequence. This has been fixed. See some of her epic Kismet sequence from one of the electrical processing area’s below.
