+ you can now upload invidiual files. Allowing for those who modified the source files in the module folder to upload their asset flips. This allows for characters to be uploaded like big chungus.
+ File browser is now in place and you can look at the source files by right clicking the folder. At the moment the file browser is accessed through clicking on the upload to Steam Workshop.
+ Camera zoom effects can now be altered and intensified allowing for more range of motion
+ books can now be added in as well, you can add text and images into the world.
+ Oceanfruits commentary has now been added into the demonstration.
+ as well as this the game now has its gui fixed up nicer.

Just a quiet general quality of life fixes as well as patches just fixing up some minor issues with the dialogue system while adding in options for energy as well as just general quality of life additions.


  • + Fixed crash on Dialogue Maker with crashing when pressing cancel, Fixed TEXT,Question,
  • + Fixed dialogue not being able to open a file with a digit in the front of the filepath name by forcing the letters (d_) in front of the file
  • + Fixed Dialogues crashing if trying to use a dialogue with no nodes in it.
  • + Fixed Old versions of the game crashing in the main menu
  • + Added commands that can be executed using the dialogue maker through CMD or through script placements; These commands are restore_energy which refils your energy bar and level_up_energy(1) which levels up the energy by the number put in ie that 1 would improve it by 1
  • + Made all URLS refer to steam overlay instead of the awkward popup window
  • + Steam Mods window now have a url button even when you have mods already subscribed
  • + Start Menu has been removed on lower left corner(edited)
  • + volume control is now in the options panel
  • + When Colorring objects with the Menubar if you choose a different brush the colour picker will now close with the change of the brush change making changing brushes much easier
  • + Game Auto patches the Load Module MainMenu Crash

+Steam Workshop uploading and downloading is now in place

To install GameModules
Go into the Unfolding Engine Steam workshop and click subscribe

To install Game Assets
Go into the Steam Workshop and subscribe to the assets you want. Then go into
the advanced tab in the module you want and select Steam Workshop and install
the asset packs you want

To upload your content
In the top left of the screen there is the option to click File. Select that and click
Upload to Steam Workshop

To upload Modules click on Upload Entire Game
To upload Asset Packs click on Upload Asset Pack

+FreeRoaming Mode for the player is now in place and is enabled through the Steam
+Lights now have Parrallax, and multiple layers. As well as no longer crash in some cases due to
+no surfaces.
+Lights no longer smear
+Planets Can now be Disabled
+Pressing RUN on the Main Menu no longer causes a crash
+You can now alter the FPS lock in the graphical menu
+You can now enable Vsync in the graphics menu
+Trains now no longer cause you to get stuck in them if you only place down one point
+Blank Dialogues now no longer crash when placed down into the world.
+Statics can now be edited by right clicking on them3
+Main Menu can now bring up the Exit Game window by pressing esc

Sharing Update!



+ Better launch menu includes the title art, cover music when loading modules.
+ Fixed error due to windows for the Resource brush and the Crafting windows would crash if certain files were closed in a certain order.
+ Exporting is now possible in the engine. If you go into the menubar you'll see the option to export module.
+ Importing module option is also added in the main menu, it is now possible to import Game Modules that other people have made
+ Menubar crashing when it cannot find certain sprites no longer happens.

+ Roll animation by Shawna is now in place. To activate it jump to the max height then hold the down key. This will trigger a roll if the falling is fast enough.
+ Better Module Creation has been added in, also allowing for packs to be used.
+ Asset Packs placed in (\UnfoldingEngine\systemresources\assetpacks) will appear in the Module Creation.
+ Module Loader has been added
+ GamePad controls and bindings have been added in, GamePad will eventually be able to create use mouse controls soon.
+ Fixed error with Demo world having a teleport to the ground
+ Console is now on F2
- Load Save game has been removed

Crash on launch



If the unfolding engine is crashing on launch go into this folder and delete it

"C:\Users\(Your username)\AppData\Local\UnfoldingEngine"

then launch the game again. Your usename would be the user account your account is in.

If that does not work right click on the game, then go into propeties. Then local files. Then browse local files to check if all the files are there. Then click verify the integrity of game files.

If that still doesnt work. Try the Itch.io version and boot it as an administrator
