To end the year on a high, UNLOVED gets another content upgrade! This time, the Apartments get a boost in variety. James Dean, the composer of the UNLOVED Soundtrack has created a new masterpiece that is now played in the Apartments in addition to the other two awesome tracks. Also three new room layouts have been added to the Apartments, giving maps more variety and some cool new places to explore.
Also more community suggested features have made it into the game including smoother reload animations, melee attacks don't cancel reload sequences anymore, Silver Keys and Totems have better locations and much more!

Happy Holidays everyone :)
New Update brings Tactical Goggles, Ghost Ammo and more!
Another update has arrived. This time I have added new gameplay changing effects that you can pick up by collecting one of the new Totems.
Tactical Goggles:
Picking up this Totem gives you the ability to see enemies on your minimap within a certain range. This can completely change the perspective you have on the game and can give you a completely new tactical advantage.
Vampire Tooth:
This item gives your melee attacks the addition of life leech. Another gameplay changer, because whenever you're low on health, instead of picking up an item, you can instead choose to leech your health back from enemies using your Kukri.
Ghost Ammo:
There are now three ghost ammo Totems in the game, giving you a chance to reload your weapon without reducing the total ammo you have.
There are also some other changes and fixes in this update and if you want to read the full change list, you can do that over here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/321270/discussions/0/494631967660496075/
New Update! Controller Support and more!
From now on, every console gamer can now enjoy UNLOVED with his trusty gamepad instead of mouse and keyboard! Also I've added a slight head-bob to the camera while moving (this can be adjusted or turned off in the game options).
I'm always listening to the community feedback (these two features were high on the list of many) and if you have anything on your mind, please let me know in the discussion boards!

Update! Visuals got significant update, more Trinkets and Totems!
With this update I've added two major new features.
First off, UNLOVED now has fully dynamic Ambient Occlusion which gives the whole game a new improved look. Using AO in modern games is nothing new, but in UNLOVED this task was something special - because AO is not designed for dynamic environments like in this game, so it was a little bit tricky to get it to work - but now it revamps the whole game and gives everything a better sense of depth!
Second, the Trinket Manager got an overhaul and also 4 new Trinket slots, 14 new Trinkets and 3 new Totems have been added to the game. This gives you much more options to customize your gear towards the playstyle you prefer.
It's now also much easier to upgrade existing Trinkets with the use of Fragments. You can break Trinkets you don't like into Fragments and use them to upgrade the Trinkets you do like. You can also break Ink Bottles into Fragments to upgrade your Trinkets. It's now also much easier to get higher rank Trinkets by completing a level.

New Development Video! Plans for Trinkets and Totems
Watch the video here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hq4Kl9iaPs8
Basically it's about the next plans for UNLOVED and the overall progression for the player. In short terms per map and in long terms meaning permanent Trinkets. It's a difficult topic especially because I don't want to dilute the gameplay and try to pander to everybody. It should be a fun way to give a long term motivation and create your own playstyle without feeling too complicated or impossible to aquire.
You can watch the video to hear my full rambings about this topic :)
