Sailing Content Patch out! — October 25th

Hello all!

Thank you for the wait on this one. Unfortunately my time working in Unveil has been greatly limited, but still was able to wrap this Content Patch and make it available for you all to enjoy, even if that meant cutting some corners, specifically in Free Roam new areas (not that many new ones -- sorry!).

The Changelog

If you find any issues, please send an e-mail at pablo @ particle.com.ar

Thank you all for playing Unveil.

Bugspray of June 21st

Hello guys!

First off, a quick update: the new content patch is leaving design stage soon, and starting implementation immediately afterwards. Expect to have a whole new set of experiences on Unveil at the beginning of next season.

And yes, we also have a super small yet important patch published today. It fixes a bug regarding Shelters when switching back and forth in a map.

Make sure to restart Steam if you can't see patch being applied right away.

Thank you for reporting issues, and for playing Unveil.

Stay tuned for new stuff!

Shelters Content Patch

The Shelters Content Patch is now available! Comes with several, very important bug fixes, as well as two new items -- because you guys were vocal you wanted shelters!

Leafy Parasol

Build a Parasol to protect from sun and rain. Upgrade it to collect water into an existing water container, and repair it after weather wears it down. On normal weather conditions, a Parasol lasts for about a year without repair.

Leafy Wind Breakers

Build wind breakers to protect from wind. These last less than parasols and are worn out more by wind, but are cheaper to setup and repair.

Full patch notes:

That is all for now. Make sure to report any issues to support @ particle.com.ar (no white spaces) for immediate assistance. Once the patch is proven to be stable, I'm off working on the next one. It is going to be great.

Thank you everyone for playing Unveil all this time. Happy surviving!

Developer update — June patch: Shelters

Hello all!

I am back from my vacations. My mind is now clear, and my creativity tank is refilled, ready to bring you some cool new updates to the game, many of which are based on your suggestions.

On June we will be releasing our first Content Patch post-release, just like we did during the Early Access times.

This one is comes with several adjustments, bug fixes, and: Shelters!

You may construct a Leafy Parasol to protect from sun and rain, as well as a Leafy Wind Breaker to protect from rain. This is a very cool, modular approach to shelter building.

You may repair or salvage these shelter constructions at any time. Plus, the Leafy Parasol will launch with one upgrade: Water Collector - allowing water to be collected on a provided container off rain. Pretty much like putting an Open Container down on the floor, except this is much faster, and the contents won't evaporate due to sun heat once rain stops.

Get early access to the Shelters Content Patch

Send an e-mail to support @ particle.com.ar (no white spaces) requesting to participate on the Shelters Beta. You will be given access sometime in June, a week before release, so you can test the new stuff and help finding any issues before releasing to everyone.

That is all for today. Expect more news on this during June. Big thanks to everyone for playing Unveil and dying hundreds of times.

Bugspray of April 26th

Hello guys!

While some new content is bound to arrive shortly, some extra fixing has been occurring on the backstage, and today a patch was pushed with those.

That includes:

- Various stability fixes.
- Performance during engine failures: Now the game will put a cap on how often, and how many errors can be logged to a file. This prevents a single error to be logged too often, causing the game to lag due to high disk usage.

Stay tuned for new content, first batch coming next week. There is a long way to go.

Bugspray of April 22nd

Hello guys!

After collecting some feedback, Roots is getting some changes for players to find their way out on Day 2.

- Roots Scenario: Various map layout changes to aid users to finding their way back to the exit of the Scenario. This was due to players still not figuring out exactly where to go or what the possibilities were within a game that is new and unknown for them. Also fixed issue that could cause players getting stuck on top of a hill when crossing Starting map down south through a particular tile.
- Few stability fixes.

If you find any issues or have suggestions, make sure to get in touch with us!

Bugspray of April 21st

Hello all!

I am still hunting down an issue that I see error logs of, but no one reporting, which makes it hard to pin point. It is basically an issue caused when Refilling something using another object on the ground. If you encounter an error while doing this, please let me know!

Anyways, this is the patch notes for today:

- Fixed small bug during the use of the Time Fast Forward screen.
- Coconut Carrier: Fixed issue that would prevent drinking a non fully-filled Coconut Carrier, if there were leftovers after drinking.
- Added debugging entries to find the source of a Refilling bug.

If you do encounter any issue, please let me know.

Happy surviving!
