Today's a small but important fix. Apparently the game would crash if one picks up a human-placed coconut from the ground.
This issue has been resolved in a Patch gone live now.
Thank you DaBenshi for reporting this. Happy rain collecting!

Cracking/Salvaging & Endless Death Bugspray
Because no one likes to see themselves dying over, and over, and over again...
... today a patch has been pushed with the following:
Fixed a bug that would cause some savegames to never be properly deleted upon death, causing some users to relive their deaths indefinitely without escape.
Completed a Modding implementation that was preventing objects to be Crack-opened or Salvaged. Slicing works too, just checked.
NOTE: Scenario restart may be required on some cases. Press Spacebar, head over Exit, and select Restart Scenario.
I am really sorry for these issues! Specially the one regarding Tools.
That is all. Thank you all for your reports! Now, back to work on the Content Patch.
Cheers!
Progression Bugspray
Hello guys!
As always, some stuff break after a big change, code-wise, as a Content Patch is. Today we fix that, as well as some stuff that still needed some attention.
Issues equipping an item?
This bug has been fixed, but items already crafted are still affected. Scenario restart (or crafting a new one) is required.
Lost your progress?
Noticeable when Free Roam becomes disabled, as if you've never unlocked anything.
A third security layer has been added to prevent game data from corrupting when incorrectly closing the game (pressing the X on the top right of the window).
To recover your progress: get the Beta Tools Package, available at Packages Download on Unveil's Website. This will let you unlock scenarios you had before.
- Download the Beta Tools package.
- Follow the instructions on the webpage to install it in Unveil's Packages directory.
- Open Unveil
- Go to Play > Custom Scenarios > Beta Tools
- Walk to the top. Each button will tell you what Scenario they will mark as completed once interacted with.
Hopefully there are no more progression losses after this security patch. If still happens to you, please report this to us on the website's contact section or these forums.
Changelog
Removed Free Roam from the Scenarios selection screen. Don’t worry, something tells me Tiny Island won’t be feeling lonely for too long.
Added a third security layer to writing Account and Game Saves files for even less chance of corrupted data. Exiting through in-game menus is still advised over abruptly terminating it by closing the window.
Fixed issue on which some data wouldn’t be loaded back into the game, causing the game to crash.
Fixed bad alignment on the Clothing sheet for Item Inspector.
Added buffer time to Account Saving, to prevent saving it too many times in a row. This was donde to increase the stability and reliability of Account Saving, reducing even more so chances of progression loss due to corrupted files.
Fixed issue that causes some items (mainly clothing) crafted without this patch, to be impossible to equip.

Extend: Content Patch — Modding comes to Unveil
Hello guys!
It is finally happening. It is finally time. Extend goes live, bringing several bugfixes, more music, and most importantly, enabling Unveil to be modded by anyone in the community, with a very streamlined and comprehensive online documentation.
Learn more about Modding and what comes in Extend Content Patch, in the following video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmnlSzSmxiE
More info in video's description.
Changelog
And as always, it all wouldn't feel complete without a detailed list of what is new. So here we go!
Created documentation for most things moddable in the game, found at http://unveil.gamepedia.com/Modding
Added Packages support to Unveil, allowing external content to be injected into the game.
New! Additional Ambient music for all climatic situations.
Speech bubbles: New centered design to allow almost twice as much text when needed.
Thought bubble: New! Made specially for Storytelling for modders. Now a thought bubble can be used for secondary thoughts or alternate characters.
Roots Scenario: Complete revision based on user feedback. The scenario should be more straightforward, preventing non intended failures, teaching better water level changes, and making it more clear on the possible ways out of the forest.
Fixed issue that would allow discontinued items to be obtained from digging.
Removed some discontinued Scenarios.
Fixed UI bug that would cause the game to crash while Fishing.
Free Roam Scenario: Added Rabbits closer to a starting location that is otherwise virtually impossible to survive on.
Fixed issue on which trees hit by a lighting and then harvested, would blink on and off.
Fixed issue that could cause the Campfire to emit a huge, square light. This lightning module is so buggy T_T. Hopefully it is finally stable.
Now the correct Tileset according to water level will load immediately when switching from or to a cave, ensuring each display their water-bound terrain properties accordingly.
Performance: Added proper cleanup for unused Audio Mixers that would pile up indefinitely. This could be the main cause of performance issues for some users. Awaiting feedback.
Black screens: Applied patch that should allow users who deactivated Steam Overlay to turn it back on without issues. Awaiting feedback.
Added Unveil Terminal executable for easier live Modding logging.
September Update
Hey guys!
A little update video to tell you what has going on in the development, and what the next steps are.

Thank you for supporting Unveil! You guys are awesome!
Enhance Bugspray 4 — AMD Inventory
Phew! Four very bad days until I finally got around fixing the Inventory issue some AMD users were experiencing. Rebuilding the whole Inventory from scratch did the job. Yes. That. I am so glad it’s done!
Changelog:
Inventory: Rebuilt Inventory UI which was crashing on some AMD users. Big thanks to Valisor for being a test subject for this issue.
Maps: Updated many maps which could prevent the player from entering or leaving a cave. Thank you FoxInShadow for reporting this.
Scenario completion: Fixes to the way text was being written, which looked cropped or off place.
Executable: Replaced current executable with one without a console. That was a mistake from when I compiled a new version with a small nVidia fix.
Debugging: Added few new internal tools to help me aid users faster in the future.
Fishes: Readjusted breeding to prevent fishes going extinct on their own.
Once the game is stable again, I will continue working towards the next Content Patch.
All Content Patches are critical in the development towards the final product. There are many to come down the road.
For now, if you have any more issues with Enhance's new engine, please make a report at the Support & Bug report section!
Thank you everyone for your support. Have a good evening!

Enhance Bugspray 3 — Black Screens
Hey guys!
I've sorted out what causes Black Screens, and it needs tweaking from your end.
To fix the Black Screen issue, please read the following pinned thread:
http://steamcommunity.com/app/375210/discussions/1/541907675760144924/
Now, this patch also applies a couple fixes, so let's list them out:
Added instruction to ensure laptops with nVidia graphic cards use the dedicated card when possible.
Fixed issue that the key hints on the main screen would use the old graphic.
Thank you all for reporting these issues quickly, so I can tackle them quickly as well.
Now get out there and die a few more times! :D Well don't, that's not the idea. Or is it?
Was it retorical? Or ironical? Or neither?
I am tired as you see. Taking a little break. See you guys tomorrow! :D

Enhance Bugspray 2: Savefiles and Infinity
Hey guys! New patch for our newly released Content Patch.
The migration to a new engine is always a pain because many things change. During the course of the next week we will hopefully iron out most of the issues.
4:30 PM GMT patch includes:
Fix: Game will now ignore corrupt savefiles (usually caused on death or force-closing the game using the Window X button on the top right), and start a new game silently. This should allow everyone to continue playing.
Fix: Fixed issue that a Weather Event duration would be infinite, causing the game to keep on breaking until it became unplayable (getting stuck in Inventory, etc...)
I also am aware of the black screen issue when starting the game, but that seems to be more complex. May have to talk directly with those affected.
Thank you everyone for your patience! I am working non stop to ensure you can play again normally.
Cheers!

Radioactive Bugspray — Enhance now fixed
Hey guys! Two bugfixes that took me about 6 hours total to solve. Big ones, specially the first one:
Fixed issue on which the game would crash on most computers while trying to load the Mistform library.
Fixed issue that could create a radically big texture, crashing low end computers.
These patches have been pushed and are now live! Restart Steam to make sure you get these.
Man, I am exhausted after 6 hours non stop. I am terribly sorry for releasing this patch in such broken state. I just happened to have a very strange setup on which it worked, but it didn't even work on my other computer. Reason why it took so long to discover how to fix it.
The second issue was naturally discovered at my laptop, as it's a 2008 computer. The game should now run properly and at flawless 60 FPS on most configurations.
Thank you everyone for being so understanding. Love you all.
