Hey Vikings! We just released a hotfix to take care of a loading issues and a few quest bugfixes. The servers are restarting now! Thanks for your patience!

Upcoming Update and SERVER WIPE

Today, around 4pm PST we will be WIPING THE SERVERS and releasing a update to fix a few nagging issues! We've solved some combat desync issues and updating housing system for more stability. We've also done a first pass on some armor texture improvements. Screenshots can be found after the patch notes! Let us know what you think!

IMPROVEMENTS



  • Graphics:Improved armor textures with better PBR
  • Combat:Improved desync issues while in combat (work in progress)
  • Combat: Added a delay of 20 seconds when quitting the game or logging out of a server to prevent combat logging.
  • Harvesting: Shield on arm is now hidden while harvesting with backpack on

  • Housing: Changed housing save method for faster loading and more stability while saving
  • Housing: Removed clean ground condition from foundations since it caused performance issues
  • Housing: Lowered decay rate of housing
  • Combat: Inventory, equipment and weapon weight now affect stamina cost
  • World: Added Arena to world near Fjall (unfinished work in progress)
  • Character Creator: Character in character creator has now hair and bear selected as default
  • Sound: Lowered armour movement sound
  • Servers: Switched some servers to Windows due to better perfomance
  • NPCs: Lowered amount of aggressive animals in start area

  • GM Command:Added /rename to rename characters

  • Charatcer: Fixed character controller (improves falling, glith through walls, palisades etc.)
  • Sound: Set smith hammer sound in aegas ael to 3d
  • Sound: Reduced sound when activating ocean
  • Items: Questitems can’t be destroyed now
  • World: Some collider fixes
  • UI: Fixed crash when hitting “exit” in the main menu.
  • UI: Corrected some spelling
  • Camera: Camera no longer unnecessarily rotates behind character multiple times after using look around mode while moving
  • Clan: Some Clan adjustments regarding to the Clan rename commmand

Server issues

Hey Vikings!
We unfortunately had a failed server update and we are restarting servers now. You will see some downtime while we sort out the issue. Hopefull no longer than an hour. Thanks for your patience!

- Performance: Added an option to disable outline rendering. Disabling it should reduce FPS drops on older hardware, especially when using AMD graphics cards.
- Performance: updated RAM usage
- NPC: Added two Werewolves in Jarlhalla

- Items: Balanced weapon damage, durability and weights, tweaked some items
- Combat: If npcs are attacked by an enemy they cannot see (e.g. bow), they will inspect the location the attack came from

Content Update, Server Restart

Within the next hours we will need to take servers down for a content update. We will announce what the new content is shortly.
