Tracking the login issue

It has come to my attention some people have issues loading the game consistently.

I'm currently trying to track what might be causing the problem. It's especially difficult as I'm not able to reproduce the problem.

However, especially those having the issue. Kindly update the game to the latest version (might need to restart Steam).

I have added a 'connection status' at the bottom right of the loading screen.

I'm especially interested if the connection keeps reading 'connected' in the minute the loading halts. (Or does it change to disconnected?).

patch 0.1.9 - 9/04/2019 - server + client

Server reset - Leaderboards too.

The patch has been applied - server is back online.

Gameplay
-Banking rework. Banks now have the option to make money by setting an interest rate to attract customer funds. In thesame manner , it's now in the banks interest to offer 'current accounts' to other companies. Any company signing a current account with a bank, will increase the banks 'customers funds'. Basically increasing its income source.
-Banks can no longer offer loans at just any interest. The interest they charge needs to be higher than the central bank rate at that very moment. The central bank rate being influenced by the inflation.

Serverside
-Inflation bug should now be resolved. This was the main issue in last patch.

-A variety of smaller bugfixes wich I didn't record.

Known major issues:
-Storage contracts are likely not working properly yet. (As well as storage information)

hotfix 0.1.7d - 13/08/2018 - server

-The city company went bankrupt. Causing all its goods and services to no longer be available. This issue has been fixed and code has been added to prevent this from happening in the future.

Anything you did while the game was paused has been rolled back to before the pause. This includes character and company creation for the new players.

patch 0.1.7c - 19/07/2018 - server + client

I will bring the server offline soon for around 1 hour while I apply the patch.

Client
-Fixed an issue with the 'update' construction button not working in some rare occasions.
-Changed 'machines' for transport bp into 'vehicles' in the engineering branch.
-Properties you own will now be properly color coded again.
-Load progressbar fixed. Often you'd be able to see the gameworld before all the data was sent to your client.

Server
-All goods should now be properly located in the warehouse. If the issue of goods not always being located in the warehouse does pop up again, let me know.
-The cities resources (goods for sale) sometimes ended up decreasing. This should no longer be the case.

patch 0.1.7b - 23/06/2018 - server

The server will be brought down while I apply this patch. (15-30 minutes downtime)

The was an issue with production not progressing when producing less than 1 unit per tick. This should now have been resolved.

Take note: You need 1 machine per 1 Ton storage in each truck or they will not work. Similarly you need 1 machine per 10 passengers in each taxi.
Also: Producing vehicles need massive transport - each 1.5 ton truck needs 1.5+ ton transport. Without that transport capacity, production will not progress past 100%.

patch 0.1.7a - 21/06/2018 - server

The server will be offline for a period of 15 minutes while I apply the patch.

-There was a problem with goods being removed in too big quantities when producing. This issue is now resolved.

patch 0.1.7 - 19/06/2018 - server + client

The server will be back online shortly. (30 to 60 minutes) The city and all your progress will be reset.

-reworked transport - transport inside the city is made abstract to save on server resources.
Goods are now always located at the city warehouse.
-Made turnover more precise again. It should now be an indication of the turnover each 5 minutes
-Fixed the Steam leaderboards , all cash your character has is now divided by 1,000,000 to avoid Steam leaderboard not accepting many billions as score.
-Fixed engineering blueprint production time being wrongly displayed
-Fixed factory production time being wrongly displayed
-When vehicles break down now they no longer destroy the entire stack of vehicles
-Added alt-click to add/remove 'max' amount of employees & machines
-updated production of blueprints, offices now increase engineering skill needed.
-Rescaled mass production modifier to give less of a bonus

Known issue:
- Storage is no longer working properly and will need a rework too.

patch 0.1.6a - 14/06/2018 - server + client

I want to apologize for the downtime we've seen today. However, I managed to use that time to implement some useful changes.

-Slowed down ticks to 5 minutes per tick to allow the server more time to do its calculations. (This is still up for change in the future - it seems 5 minutes is barely sufficient. - however, i still might have some leeway by speeding up some parts of the scripts again, see below)
-Tweaked speed of the script excecution to limit data send rate resulting in a more stable connection.

patch 0.1.6 - 13/06/2018 - server + client

After a longer than expected maintenance, the updated patch notes. My apologies for the downtime. Server up and running. You'll be liking stability compared to yesterday!

-Following the Unity Engine Upgrade I reworked the login system to allow for a login that doesn't flood the network like it used to.
This patch will mean alot less lag in chat, it should also mean there are fewer or no desyncs (different state on client than on server).
And also, hopefully fewer disconnects. It does mean somewhat slower loading times though. Something I might tweak in the future.
-Fixed an endless loop in the transport script causing the server to crash.

patch 0.1.5 - 12/06/2018 - server + client

Patching will start in the next 60 minutes and will take around 30 minutes. (Server will be down during that time)

Make sure you update your client to the latest version. The old version will likely not be compatible!

- Upgrade to latest Unity Game Engine (2018.1.4f1) - This will hopefully solve some of the stability and / or login issues we have seen. Yet to be confirmed.
- fix for server freezes caused by 2 seperate problems.
- when abandoning plot any ongoing construction, including the blueprint will now be properly deleted.
