Animal Update

Hey All,

The animals have been out of the game for many months now and I am pleased to announce that they have been finally re-implemented in today's patch. Please let me know how it is all working for everyone. I have done some preliminary testing with some people I work with internally and it has been pretty positive so far.

January Update

January Update!

The January update is pretty huge, I'm not going to lie. In the January update, we have added the ability for players to easily host their own servers for friends and family. All you have to do is click the "Host Game" button. Once you press this button, you are loaded into the map, and other players can join. No network configuration, no port forwarding, nothing. However, these servers are dependent on the person who created them. If the owner logs out, then the server goes down!

Second, we have also made the keybindings more obvious. Forward, and backwards are now properly labeled. Before this update, every keybind for forward, and backward movement was labeled as "Move Forward."

Voice chat has been implemented, but still needs to go through further testing. Any feedback from players would be greatly appreciated.

If you have any other suggestions for changes, feel free to let us know on the steam forums.

Veritex Servers

Hey Everyone,

In the last few days since made the last announcement we got over 47,000 free copies of the game downloaded. I am not going to continue this project. However, if users are highly interested in this project then they can feel free to follow me on twitter. I am starting a new project. I will be posting occasional updates of the new game on my twitter.

Thanks again for your time,

Bdoom

Servers

Hello All,

Due to the lack of playerbase, and the lack of interest. I am going to be taking all veritex servers down and development will cease. As a business, I cannot continue to sink money into servers with zero players. It is not financially stable. However, if you would like to host your own server you can do so by downloading the Windows executable below.

You need the following ports opened, as well a Steam installed on the server machine.

Ports:
7777
7778
7779
27014
27015

I will be taking a journey on a new project. I have learned a great deal from this project. Everything from early marketing, to play testing, to listening to player feedback. We will try to do better next time, and will continually improve our craft.

Thanks for those of you who played.

You can download the server here:

You can follow my personal twitter account here:

I will post occasional updates about the new project.
