Starting today, just to help everyone catch up while we work on the game, we’re going to share more detailed information about the world and gameplay of Vernal Edge. If you’ve been wanting to learn more about Vernal Edge and the demo doesn’t quite scratch that itch, then we can start today with a short bio about our lead character Vernal.
The art of the sword is difficult for anyone to master, it takes years of practice until one can become a truly proficient fighting machine. Vernal however, does not actually know how to use a sword, she just hits people with it until they stop moving.
In fact, practically the only thing she knows is how to fight. When it comes to anything else, well, she isn’t exactly a bountiful harvest of knowledge. Vernal has spent her whole life fending for herself, living off the land and avoiding people. As a result, she lacks a fair share of social skills. things like personal space, property ownership, or literacy.
Despite this, she does care about the people she’s chosen not to avoid, and will go to extreme lengths to either defend, or avenge them. Even when it doesn’t seem all that practical. We’ll cover one of them next time!
