Today we rolled-out a new update for Verne: The Shape of Fantasy. The biggest addition this update brings—besides some smaller text-based adjustments—is a new language. You can now play the story of Verne: The Shape of Fantasy in Traditional Chinese as well.

Update notes for August 24th
Stealth
We have adjusted the stealth sections so now the enemies return to their original position after Verne is captured.
Final Puzzle
We know that many of you found this puzzle a bit frustrating, so we've increased the timer length to make it more accessible.
Additionally, we have fixed some minor bugs and we have implemented some visual improvements, especially with texts that were not properly aligned.

About Verne: The Shape of Fantasy
Verne: The Shape of Fantasy takes place in the year 1888, where a war against the ruthless “Nation” threatens to completely destroy the land of Hemera. You take on the role of famous author Jules Verne alongside Captain Nemo and his crew as you set out in search of the Flame of Hephaestus, an ancient artifact said to hold the power to change the course of history.
You will have to be careful along the way as they may just discover unimaginable wonders and mysteries.
Only those that crave knowledge and adventure will survive on this epic journey. As you explore, you’ll be able to utilize the IMAG device to rewrite history and change Verne’s fate at certain moments. Solve puzzles in each stunning location and leave no stone unturned.
Inspired by classic adventure games, you never know what important detail could be hiding in a dusty corner. Pay close attention and discover what was so fascinating about Jules Verne’s incredibly unique stories.

first of all, thank you everyone who played our demo and provided valuable feedback. This means a lot to us!
We have carefully listened to all your suggestions and we have started to work on them. For starters, we're pleased to confirm that the final release of Verne: The Shape of Fantasy will include mouse support in both the main menu and the pause menu to enhance your gameplay experience. As a result, you will be able to navigate and adjust options comfortably with your mouse as you could with a controller or keyboard, both in the main menu and the in-game pause menu.
We hope you'll enjoy this new feature as we continue to fine-tune the Nautilus. We look forward to sailing the seas together soon.

Today, Verne dev Gametopia invites players to uncover the wondrous mysteries of a paradise lost to the sea in Verne: The Shape of Fantasy, coming to Steam and GOG, in 2023.
Showcased in a uniquely vibrant pixel-art style, Verne: The Shape of Fantasy is a narrative-driven adventure that draws on the life and works of Jules Verne, one of literature’s most famous science fiction and adventure writers.
In celebration of its upcoming release, Gametopia shared a look into the game’s conceptualization via an all-new developer’s commentary. Lovers of both old school pixel-art adventure titles and Verne’s fantastical storytelling, Gametopia sought to merge the imagery of the author’s sci-fi writing prowess with gameplay mechanics of exploration, puzzles and deep interactive dialogues.
