New week, new improvements
I've been reading your comments and ideas and I've decided to put some of them into life the best I can at the moment. You'll find the list of those below but before that I'd like to say I am both shocked and grateful beyond measure for the amazing supportive community that's forming before my eyes. Thank you and I hope I won't disappoint!
First of all, I noticed many people still having some troubles with the button to proceed to the next story/situation so I'll be making it more visible, probably with a text to leave not much up for guessing what the button does,
Secondly, some feedback on clicking buttons is actually nice and I have no idea why I didn't implement any for my own game. I'm going to change that and quick, it'll make playing that much more fun,
Thirdly, I've been working on bettering the story itself, the continouity and the characters dynamics with each others. I hope you'll enjoy the cosmetic changes and the added details. I'm adding those gradually, though, so I'll post which ones are updated in the list of changes with each update.
Yup, so that'd be all from me but please feel free to suggest what you'd like to see in the future updates. I'll still be doing my best to stick to the roadmap and I'm super excited for the achievements but I know that before I implement those I need to improve the game itself first.

Summer is mostly finished, the weather slowly transitioning into glorous autumnal bliss, people of various ages going back to schools, universities, and work... Life decelerates sweetly but for those who prefer to keep busy and entertain themselves I've prepared something to alleviate the first week of September.

First update ever, sale announcement!
As this is my very first game published ever
, I've never really done any updates which makes today that much more special. That said I have to tell you something...
Firstly, I poked around the code and Unity to find the reason for the music error happening and was able to somehow minimise the frequency of it taking place. I won't lie, I still don't know what causes it at all but I hope that once my Mentor comes back, he'll shine some wisdom upon me and help me eradicate this silly bug for good.
Secondly, I put a new story in the update! I hope you'll enjoy it. I'm planning on putting 4 more in the future, so stay tuned and look out for those to come out!
Thirdly, I reorganised the menu a little to both make it look better, and work better. It will now be more flexible when it comes to translating Victorian Debutante to other languages (I'm already testing it with Polish) and those pretty menu alternatives I've mentioned on the roadmap.
I'm pretty proud of myself, to be honest. I'm feeling like an actual game developer, and a good one, at that! Not because my creation is perfect but because I listen to what players say and try to better the game the best I can.
About that sale though!
I almost went on my devving and forgot about the sale! I'm planning to put Victorian Debutante on a little sale for the first week of September and make returning to school, uni, or work this much sweeter. I will remind you about the sale in my next announcement and on the last day of it, so you remember to buy it, for you or your friends!

Following Victorian Debutante pays off
So please follow it! Now that the demo version of Victorian Debutante is out and available I can focus on something else so I've been working on betterring Victorian Debutante based on my observations and the feedback you've given me so far! I strive to improve Victorian Debutante to the level it is in my imagination, so the first portion of improvements and fixes are:
the continuity of the story will be improved by adding more details and extending the beginnings of each story
some problems seem to be happening with the music tracks which occassionally stuttered on proceeding onto the next story. I poked around in the code and things should go on smoothly now but please let me know if they don't for you!
a new story/situation! I'll add another one to the plot as I'm planning to do a few more times. I hope you'll like it!

Demo is finally finished, published and available! Tell your friends and family to play this super short version and check which one of two possible endings is their destiny! And if they're interested in their real destiny, let them buy their own copy and play the whole game!
What hapenned...
I feel I owe an explanation why the demo wasn't published on the date I promised. I got a little overeager with the images for it and put stuff that Steam clearly told me not to and the Steam team had to point out what to change and how in order for the whole shablam to work according to their standards. I apologise for the delay and I promise to better myself!
Victorian Debutante Demo to be released next week
I've been working on realising the goals I put in the roadmap and soon the first milestone will be finished! Luckily, I realised I can modify the first version of the game itself, without making a whole new project and it sped up the process significantly! I'm also working on improving the writing, as per requests, and hope to soon update Victorian Debutante, probably soon after the demo is released.
I decided to go with the demo first mainly because I want more people to have a chance to feel like a fabulous but pressured Debutante of the Victorian era. I also think it's important to give everyone interested in buying a game a chance to try some of it to check if they're interested enough to use their hard-earned money.
Also, it gives me more time to work on developing the main game, hehe.

I have waited and worked for so long and now it's finally the time! Release the Kraken! Release the Debutante, I mean!
