- Locomotion is now controlled using thumbsticks or trackpad. - For Vive users: choose horizontal or vertical grip style that suits your personal preference. - Locomotion system now works better with Windows Mixed Reality systems. - Adjust height in the "Options" menu. This will affect the menu screen, Colosseum mode, and Academy mode.
Locomotion system implementation
We've been asked to implement a locomotion system for players do not have 360-degree tracking and/or small play areas. The feature is now available in VFC.
Please bear with us if the current design does not fit your personal preference. It's hard to have one system that works with everybody. We will implement other options later on.
Thanks, and enjoy!

VFC Academy Version 0.9 (Initial Release) Is now LIVE!
Hi community! VFC academy mode's initial deliver version 0.9 is now live, and using this opportunity, we want to hear your feedback in regards to the mode to assist us in the further development of the mode
VFC academy mode is an essential part of the VFC development roadmap, and it is aimed at becoming our player’s favorite VR fitness tool to train your fighting skills, body strength and stamina
In this initial release, it has 2 main game modes: Dummycraft and Sprint Mode.
Dummycraft let's player hone their punching skills and train for reactionary punching patterns. Game will detect and inform the player on each of their punches in regards to power, punch type and accuracy, and gives a final score.
Sprint mode let the player train your stamina and arm muscle by simulating a racing environment, and the game will actually match play against each other in a PvP racing competition using the method of time-shifted multiplayer.
We are still developing many more training tools and game modes for VFC academy (and indefinitely into the future) , thus why we coined the term version 0.9 as this will be an ongoing process.
Some of our planned upcoming stuff for VFC academy in the next few updates
Player orientation control, so 180 degree restricted players can enjoy VFC academy too
Enrich the environment just a little more
A mode for jogging instead of sprinting
Some of the planned major updates in the near future:
-VFC Fighting Core 2.0
-Overall visual & aesthetic upgrade
we will reveal more on that alittle later ;)
That's all!
Thanks!
VFC is proudly supported by Film Victoria (Australia) !
Hi community!
We are here to share with you our gratitude towards Film Victoria to supporting our game VFC and assisting us with much-needed funding so that we can focus on the development of the game!
So long story short, we have a dummy craft mode in our VFC academy as you may know from this video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jFqogIQD8Y
And we saw this video the other day and wanted to create something similar inside VFC Academy Mode for our players (given that we do not infringe upon other people's intellectual property)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4PcIZW027E
The ideas are to create a punching dummy that has many hitting points organized into different angles and positions, each perfectly suited for one type of punch types.
Sure the haptic feedback from punching an actual dummy will be lacking using VR, but what's good about VR is we can create very crazy and satisfying visual for you to enjoy if you landed a good punch. And we will be working on that over the next few weeks.
Players can set up their own punching routine and share your routine with our players to try.
VFC can score your routine based on 4 dimensions of criteria:
- the reflex of your punch (time you took to land the punch)
- power of your punch
- punch type used
- accurate punching form and posture
The leaderboard will be made on each routine.
So basically, our dummy craft mode will be featuring 3 kinds of punching machine include the one described here and the two featured in the video.
