Inventory improvements Update
Hello Hunters!
With this latest update we have reworked the entire inventory systems functionality to fix most issues and to make interactions with it more consistent. For the players it works the same but without the issues it previously had. We've also improved loading times, fixed several issues with animals and much more!
Inventory system rework
The whole inventory systems functionality was reworked*
More consistent interactions
Fixes most issues players have encountered with the inventory interactions
All fixed issues are listed in the Improvements section
All item locations had to be reset for this change so visit the store to get your things again.
New Features
Added a reset button for grab offset settings
Added a Short version of the latest patch notes to the main menu
Separated the scope rail and the scope for .303 rifle. You can now set the scope to different positions on the rail. The rail is only visible when scope is attached or held in hand.
Animal Changes
Fixed several issues related to animal need times
Fixed issues where animals would stand and walk in place before / during / after need times or when they were spooked
Fixed several issues with animations
Improvements
Fixed an issue where loaded ammo wasn’t saved when quitting the game
Fixed an issue where items could swap to inventory or backpack on their own
The backpack can now be grabbed only from the top to improve its functionality
Fixed an issue where animals could run behind the map border where player can’t reach them
Fixed an issue where weapons would play several sounds at once
Fixed an issue where toggle grab type would also affect usable objects like .303 bolt and scope zeroing knob.
Loading to the Bulgaria map and back to the lodge takes significantly less time and resources. This should also solve crashing issues on these instances.
Fixed a rare issue where shotguns ammo box would disappear
Fixed a lag spike when grabbing optics in Bulgaria map for the first time
Fixed an issue where books wouldn’t ungrab when traveling between outposts in the Bulgaria map while holding a book
Fixed an issue where the .303's scope’s camera was on when loading to game with the rifle on your back.
Fixed an issue where loading another save without quitting wouldn’t reset properly and both saves would be loaded simultaneously
* We have reworked the whole inventory systems functionality. This means that it is now more consistently working, fixes most issues and bugs players have faced with the current one and gives us more flexibility for the future.

Environment And Vegetation Update - Fixes And Changes #2
Hello hunters!
We have another update ready to go! In this update we are finally (hopefully) asking Santa to take his flying animals back to the north and fix the issue. We also have a fix for optics which didn’t work properly with snap on face and added a couple new options to improve immersion!
New Features
Added an option to turn off item highlights
Added an option to mute mobile trackers notifications
Improvements
Fixed an issue where optics wouldn’t work with snap on face turned on
Possible fix for flying animals*
Fixed an issue where some bushes would disappear too soon
Visual improvements to the lakes
Renamed HP Reverb G2 SteamVR keybindings
* This should finally fix the flying animals bug that has been in the game for the longest time. It was very hard to track and fix so we are not 100% sure that it is so please report any sightings of land animals in the skies!

Environment And Vegetation Update
Greetings hunters!
In this update we are bringing improvements that have been requested and asked for since the game was released. All vegetation and environment has been improved with unified shaders that adds more realism to them, better performance and gives us more tools and flexibility for later. The nature comes more alive with ambient wildlife and headlight helps you to track your pray in the dark. With all these changes the game looks better, runs better and is more immersive than ever before!

All environment and vegetation have been improved with new shaders
Vegetation reacts to wind more realistically
Vegetation reacts to light more realistically
Player interacts with vegetation when moving through them
Crossfade has been added which eliminates most of the pop in
Vegetation and environment gets wet when it rains
Improved weather effects. More cloud variety has been added.
Improved daytime lighting
New Features
Ambient wildlife has been added (birds, rodents)
Buzzing flies added to droppings (you can tell the droppings freshness from the amount of flies)
Headlight has been added that can be used at night (touch your forehead to toggle on/off)*
Animal Changes
Animal render distance has been increased from 300m to 500m
Improvements
Game has been significantly optimized**
MSAA 4x anti-aliasing eliminates most of the vegetation edge shimmering
Fixed an issue where mixed forest biomes ground was mostly rock
Fixed an issue where mobile trackers map is blur with low texture resolution
Tutorial vegetation biomes has been changed to use same from Bulgaria map
Scopes resolution has been increased for better view
Changes
Light shafts have been disabled since they didn’t work properly. They will be improved and added back to the game later.
* Some leaf trees won’t catch the headlight properly at night. This will be fixed later. ** Graphics has been greatly optimized to use less gpu and cpu. We will optimize it further as promised. There is still a performance hit when using scope and optics since they use an additional camera. But performance should be a lot better. Here is a little sneak peek to our next update! We have overhauled all vegetation and environment visuals. Trees shimmer and grass waves in the wind, environment comes to life with ambient wildlife and performance will increase. Animal Taxidermy And Trophy Mounts - Fixes and changes #2
Greetings Hunters!
We have another update ready for you! We’ve fixed several major issues in the game, improved animal rest and eat time behavior, added more offset settings for players with gunstocks and much more! Read all the changes below:
New Features
Added archery range instruction to “how to play” section of in-game menu
Added new rotation settings for weapon grab offset*
Animal Changes
Animals will now find another place if they’ve been spooked while eating or resting if it’s still proper time for it. Previously animals started wandering after being spooked, which wasn’t ideal.
Animals will leave a track after turning over 20 degrees. This will help and improve tracking.
Improvements
Optimized mountain region. Performance is now similar to other parts of the map
Adjusted weapon grab offset settings and the weapon stabilization strength setting*
Improved trophy mounts LODs
Fixed an an issue where you would hear animal and item sounds from the wrong side or very close even if they were further away.
Fixed an issue where hint confirmation didn’t prevent the hint showing up again
Adjusted fur mesh rendering distances of animals and trophy mounts
Fixed an issues where animals took too long to calm down
Fixed a lag spike when you grabbed optics (scope, binoculars and rangefinder) in the Bulgarian reserve
Fixed an issue where stabilization strength kept increasing after holding breath if the stabilization strength was more than 15% and decrease if it was less than 15%**
Fixed an issue where invisible stones and branches were spawned on players head
Monastery LODs and area has been fixed
* We increased weapon grab offset settings ranges and added new rotation settings. These changes will help you to align weapons to physical stocks better! We highly advise you to revisit these settings after the update.
** This issue slowed down weapon shouldering every time you held breath if stabilization strength was more than 15%. After a few times it completely prevented players shouldering the weapon. If stabilization was less than 15%, the strength kept decreasing and eventually lost the stabilization completely.

Hello Hunters!
We have yet another update for you which focuses on improvements and fixes. The sun has come from behind the clouds and is shining brighter than ever during the day time, animals won't hear you crouch walking from far away, gun stock users can now adjust general weapons grab offsets and much more!
New features
Added general settings to offset weapons position and angle. Can be used to offset weapons when using virtual stock.
Added two offset profiles to settings, which can be used to save different offset values. Useful when playing with and without virtual stock.
Added option in settings to reset hints
Confirmed hints won’t show again until hints are reset from the settings
Improvements
Slightly increased animal hearing threshold. This fixes an issue where they would flee from very far away even if player was crouched
Revolver is now loaded in firing order
Revolver loading was improved by removing individual chamber colliders and adding a single big one
Daytime lighting was improved, the sun's brightness was significantly increased and shadows slightly darkened
Adjusted .303 British rifle recoil
Added explanations to settings in the main menu and in-game menu by hovering on them
The inventory lock button now works only when the player looks down and inventory stops rotating. This reduces accidental presses.
Fixed an issues where fallow deer male and wild boars fur didn’t scale properly with their thick neck / back hump
Fixed an issue where leaf forest didn’t have any shadows from trees
Fixed an issue where item in hand and item in belt inventory might swap places and break the interaction system
Fixed an issue where hares would be inside the two high table mounts.
Fixed an issue where shotgun hinge can get stuck and shells doesn’t eject after shot
Fixed an issue where wild boar didn’t stare directly at the player
Fixed an issue where ambient sounds crackling during smooth turning
Fixed an issue where animals at a certain distance wouldn’t render after the fast travel until the distance between animals and the player changes
Fixed an issue with walking audios during the autowalk
Fixed an issue where inventory lock button audio was played before the actual action was happened

With this major update, we are introducing animal taxidermy and trophy mounts to the game! The trophy mounting system gives players complete freedom with the trophy placement. You can choose which type of mount you want to place and where you want to place it. Each animal also has several different poses to choose from. We would love to see your lodges so post them to our Discord, tag us in socials and share here in Steams screenshots!
And that is not all! We are also adding another animal, the mighty fallow deer to the game. These colorful medium sized deer with big antlers and thick necks can be found mostly around leaf and mixed forest areas. We have reworked the whole eastern side of the map and added a 3rd outpost, giving the players more exciting hunting grounds to go after the fallows!
