Update #2: Small UX improvements

Some small improvements based on player feedback.

  • Floating notifications now indicate when you've exceeded the undo limit
  • Global menu now faces you when opened
  • Changed global menu "Leave" button to "Exit to Menu" as it's clearer

Update #1: Small update

  • Fix grab alignment issues for left hand Rift users
  • Add new wooden crate to street environment to help reach higher spots

Massive update and leaving early access.

The new update is now live and ViveSpray 2 has left early access.

Here's a recap of what's in the update:

Stencils were one of the most requested features so I'm happy to announce a new stencil system as part of the update. The system supports custom stencil images. This is a very versatile and powerful feature that opens up a whole range of possibilities. The stencil system works in conjunction with ViveSprays masking system, which has been improved further with the addition of several new advanced masking features along with the ability to store and recall multiple masks at any time.

For an overview visit the ViveSpray 2 Website.

  • New strreet environment
  • Stencils (custom stencil images supported)
  • Advanced masking (mask paint, save and restore mask)
  • Third person spectator camera (click anywhere in window to activate)
  • Reworked controls for Rift and Vive
  • Option to rotate playspace
  • Improvements to online wall, less bandwidth and upload and download progress bars.
  • New cap dot pattern
  • Screenshot camera for online wall and local saves is now repositionable
  • Added wooden palettes to factory environment
  • Tons of bug fixes

Thanks to everyone that provided feedback or help.

Progress Update

Just thought I'd let you all know I'm still here working away behind the scenes. There will be a huge update soon and the changes and new features will bring ViveSpray 2 near to full release.

Don't forget to follow ViveSpray on Twitter for feature previews and to track the online walls.

Update

Two of the existing environments have now been online-enabled. They work exactly the same as the online wall found in the factory environment. If you want to see updates to the wall follow ViveSpray on Twitter . Anything anyone does to an online wall will be automatically posted there.

The factory environment camera has been tweaked to show the entire wall for saves and twitter posts.

Update: Online Wall Twitter Feed

Whenever you save the online wall a screenshot will automatically be posted to the ViveSpray Twitter which you can find (and hopefully follow) here:
