Traps
All of the dungeons are now filled with traps you can encounter. These traps are randomly placed around set locations inside hallways and chambers.
Added: Fireball Trap
Fires a fireball in an area in front of the trap.
Can not be destroyed.
Recharges in between shots.
Can be tricked into activation by moving your weapon in front of it.
Added: Stalker Trap
Fires a homing fireball in an area in front of it.
Can be dodged by quickly moving out of the way.
Can not be destroyed.
Recharges in between shots.

Added:Spike Trap
Spikes are activated when walking over or near the trap.
Located on floors and even walls.
Can not be destroyed.
Can be tricked into activation by moving your weapon in front of it,

Drop-In Co-op
You can now activate Drop in Co-op when you are in the main chamber. This makes it possible to start a dungeon alone and have people join or leave while you play.
When someone else is hosting a public drop-in Co-op Session you will get notified in the main chamber with a sound and message above the multiplayer door. Stepping through this door takes you to the Drop in Co-op match of that player.

Servant of the Necromancer
A servant of the necromancer appeared! He will try to make your dungeon runs a lot harder. He can appear at any moment, with a sole purpose of killing you and your party.
The first Servant added to the game is called the "Spectral Summoner". The Servant will spawn smaller enemies, teleport to safety when you get too close and shoot you down with stalker fireballs.
Get close and strike fast to drop him to the ground. Here you can slash and bash him for a few good seconds. If you don't manage to finish him he will try to teleport away to safety.
Defeating this Servant clears the "Mini Boss" Challenge and unlocks the Bonus Room at the end of the Dungeon. Servants spawn randomly and only appear when you get seen in a dungeon, making sure that stealth playthroughs are viable and not interrupted.
Abilities and Statistics
Ranged Only
Shoots stalker fireballs
1200 Health Points, a little more than the Red Orc or Big Bones enemy.
Can teleport at will.
Has a teleport escape when in danger.
Gets scared when you get too close, giving you a few seconds to strike.

Changed: Short bow The Short bow is now bigger in size and needs to be pulled much further than before. The sounds have also been adjusted and rumble has been added to simulate string tension. Arrows now leave a trail behind them so it's easier to adjust shots accordingly.

Changed: Pistol The Pistol model has been updated and now features a hand animation when you do a reload spin or do a grab spin from your belt.

Graphics Overhaul
The VR Dungeon Knight graphics are reworked and old effects replaced with new and more performance friendly features/image effects.
Added: HDR (High Definition rendering) The game now supports a bigger color range then before.

AI Changes
Ranged enemies will now advance and get in your line of sight when you stay behind cover for too long.
Smaller enemies will now attack in groups.(Spectral clubber, Skeleton Archer, Spectral Summons)
Group enemies will try to flank you and attack from behind or sides.
All grouped enemies have their health reduced.

Mechanics and additions
Dropping Items Lots of new players drop their weapons by accidentally holding the grip button. It now requires you to hold grip for 0.35 seconds minimum and press the trigger button to drop a weapon.
Hand Animations New hands have been added to the game alongside with new animations. Added new animation for climbing and items.
Blocking Blocking is more reliable when aiming for the enemy weapon.
Long attack strikes and fast Follow-up hits Striking the enemy with fast follow up hits now works better and does more damage. The faster you attack the less damage you do.
Hitbox reworks Hitting enemies is more reliable with melee and ranged attacks.
New Update, Bigger Team and Livestream!

Thomas here, your hardworking one-man developer, now with a bigger team!
The guys from Wolfdog Interactive will be helping me in getting VRDK to higher grounds. Being able to work with a bigger team gives me the option to create more quality content. I will still handle all decisions and content updates but this time with help from the team at Wolfdog. This gives me space to create bigger and epic updates.
Speaking of big and epic updates, a new one update is live right now! I worked incredibly hard on it and I truly hope you guys like it! It introduces new traps, Drop-in co-op and much more.

Hello everyone, my name is Jesse and I’m the Founder of Wolfdog Interactive. Some of you might know us from the game Skyworld. A VR TBS that we made together with Vertigo Games (Arizona Sunshine). After a long time of preparations and hard work, we are proud to announce that VR Dungeon Knight is now a part of the Wolfdog family. Thomas and the team worked hard to bring you one of the biggest updates yet! The Trap Update (0.8.1) is now live and brings hidden traps, new enemies, graphics rework, drop-in coop and many more features. We hope that you will enjoy this new update. One of the most important things about VRDK is the amazing community that surrounds it. In order to bring everyone even closer together, we created an official VRDK discord group. The New update is released! This update will include the new combat system, healing potions, healing stations, improvements to performance and much more mentioned in this post.
The new combat took me a lot of time to get right, I have been in my room swinging controllers at my enemies for way too long. Broke my room clock and some other stuff along the way. (gets a little too immersive from time to time). All worth it in the end though ːsteammockingː
The new combat applies physics, blocking and counter attacking for enemies.

New Structures, New Rooms, New Weapons, Splitscreen Fairy Mode, Combat Polish, Inventory Update and more!
New stuff! I have been working hard to create new area's in the game, and not just new dark hallways but bigger and open area's inside and outside!
Even more rooms and area's will come over time.

You can now collect tokens around the dungeons (like gold and XP books) and trade them in for special enhanced weapon chests. These tokens are hard to find and require you to look around a lot more!
There currently is 1 special weapon that you can get, more will come over time.
Extra: 2 Handed Claymore was added to the weapons chamber.
A friend in the same room can now join in as a fairy on the same computer in splitscreen, the fairy sees the world as a map, (Topdown). So now you can play together instead of take turns playing at home!
The fairy is passive and can't attack or be seen but can do some other things like:
-Be a additional lightsource for the main player.
-Can locate gold, XP books and Keys on the map
-Perfect for scouting ahead of the dungeon knight.
-Can Reveal enemy positions and communicate where they move.
You control the fairy by using the keyboard. Press space to join in.
Even more rooms are being added and new locations.
You will now be able to explore demonic and larger rooms or explore the new temple villages or cross a huge bridge over a lake and knock orcs off them between 2 connected dungeons. Try and find your way trough cold ice caves and more!
The main theme of the new area's is "Bigger". A lot more area's can be played to avoid or flank enemies. We have enough small hallways already, it's time to experience some new big and fresh area's.

Changes to Dungeons:
Normal Dungeons are longer and contain more monsters.
Nightmare Dungeons:
-A lot more dangerous.
-More Enemies in rooms.
-Changed Spawning methode from random amounts to always spawn the maximum amount of enemies. If there is enough space to spawn them.
-Increased movement speed a small amount of some enemies.
-Wishing you spawned a normal dungeon while hiding in a corner.
Since I needed to work on fixing some things, here they are:
-Pistols and crossbows are now angled 45 degrees down.
-Hand distance Teleportation is replaced by Controller Pointing Teleportation.
-Fixed a bug where sometimes you spawned in a wall.
-UI Changes.
-Fixed Private multiplayer hosting not being private.
-Fixed the double hands bug in multiplayer.
-Added new voicelines. Some help explain functions of the game.
-Adjusted Tutorial.
-Changed Enhanced pickup weapons to be less glitchy in multiplayer. (Work in progress).
The game is doing great! A lot more people have come in to play VR Dungeon Knight.

PART 2 IS OUT, MAGIC UPDATE, Public Online Co-op!

Let's jump straight into all the changes/additions.
New to the game:
-Magic Spellbooks. Now you can be a real Wizard.
Current spellBooks:
Fire Spellbook.
Poison Spellbook.
Storm Spellbook.
-New Enemy added called "Clubber".
-New Locomotion added: Controller Direction Movement.
(Only used when you disable Arm Swinger Movement).
Also Added:
-Online Public Matchmaking.
-A online arena while you wait for players to join your session.
-Snow Area's. (Included with Part 1).
-Cave Area's. (Included with Part 1).
-Weird Rare Area's.
-Mini Boss Room.
-Restock Area's. Containing: Enhanced weapons that you can use untill the end of the dungeon. Gold and XP books. Quivers.
Enhanced Weapons that you can find:
Storm Spear,
Flame Sword,
BlueFlame Demonic Staff,
Cursed Mace.
Tweaks:
Added Stairs to one of the dungeon rooms. Making monsters able to come up to kill you when you annoy them with projectiles.
Projectiles are now less performance heavy, (Sometimes projectiles from the pistol or bow would cause lag in single player and Online).
Frames per second Increases:
Enemies are more optimised.
Players are more optimised.
Projectiles are more optimised.
And that's about it.
Very fun to work on new stuff in VR Dungeon Knight. I think we have more then doubled the original content by now. ːsteamhappyː
Although.. I'm not making enough Sales to pay the bills (Unfortunately ːsteamsadː), I do want to continue development for you guys. I'm really having a blast making new additions.

New Big Update PART 1 is out!
Hi guys,
Just a quick update, I'm going to post a patch note in a couple of days containing all the new things this new update brings.
Open matchmaking is still a challenge and not added but will come, I'm working very hard on it. Don't worry. Multiplayer Friend Co-op play does work.
Im also still working on some new locomotion options so look for that and the open matchmaking later this week.
But since I didn't want you guys to wait any longer I uploaded a PART 1 Version, containing a lot of stuff like:
New 3D player rendering.
Classes,
Snowy Outside Area's.
Dark Cave Area's
Small Mini Bosses.
New weapons. One of them is a Flintlock pistol. Pretty neat.

I hope you are all doing great!
Making a Virtual Reality Online Co-op RPG on your own is a lot of work, but it's shaping up to be something special thanks to you guys and the amazing feedback.
This is just a quick message to keep you guys up to date, the game is doing fine and I have added so much new stuff for the upcoming update.
Some things you can expect:
-New Area's
-New Traps.
-Classes. (Like: Warrior, Ranger, Mage,Assassin and more).
-Outfits (Armors).
-New Full body rendering methode.
-New Weapons.
-Public Co-op matchmaking.
-New locomotion options.
And much more!
This update contains so much new content. But I really need to take the time to polish them. So stay tuned, it's going to be worth the wait!
I bought a Oculus Rift and will start support for the Oculus rift next week.
In the last week I invested a lot of money for new content, it will help the game to be even bigger and better over the coming months.
Since the game is getting bigger and more expensive then I originally expected I have to adjust the pricing.
The game will increase in price over the coming months. So if you want to get the game for the original low price, now is your chance.
