Time before ketchup & mustard bottles teleport to their original positions has been increased.
New:
The mouse is now locked to the window while playing multiplayer.
Added an option for turning of controllers in the settings menu. Some players had an issue with the camera continuously spinning, turning controllers off should fix this issue and allow the game to be played with the keyboard and mouse. We're working on a better solution for this issue.
Patch 1.04
New:
Added a "Too easy" button that appears after beating a level. This allows players to more easily skip to a more difficult level.
Each fifth level has always been unlocked from the start of the game but many players fail to notice this as they play the game the first time. This update will hopefully make it so that players can more easily play at an appropriate difficulty.
Patch 1.03
New:
Added an handle for re-positioning your play area in the main menu. Useful if you have a limited space to play in.
Added a training mode. Play in your own pace and practice the recipes with an endless stream of customers that never get angry.
Added an option for graphic quality in the settings menu. Might help if you're experiencing stuttering while playing.
Patch 1.02
Bug fixes:
Height/Scale handles in main menu sometimes jumped up/down. Now fixed.
Fixed some error messages in the output log.
Patch 1.01
I just uploaded a new patch that fixes a couple of issues:
Ketchup and mustard can now be used by pressing the grip buttons.
It is now possible to use any custom controller skins without problems in the game.
Added an indicator in the main menu since some players were confused on how to progress.
Bug: Can't grab items. Fixed by changing controller skin.
We've found out that some players are experiencing a bug where the player can't pick up anything in the game making the game unplayable.
We've found that the problem happens when using certain custom controller skins. Especially skins that have a different model than the standard vive controller.
We are working on a fix for this problem so that everyone can play this game with whatever controller skin they want, but in the meantime you can play the game if you switch to the standard skin for your controllers.
Fixing this is our top priority right now.
Please let us know if you are experiencing some other bugs or problems!
VR The Diner Duo is released!
The game is now finished and we've released it!
We've now implemented 30 levels for both single- and multiplayer mode and a working Endless mode.
We hope you will have a good experience, and if you run into any issues, please post about them in the Steam Discussions and we will have a look at it.
If you like the game (or not), let future players know by leaving a review on the store page! :)
Endless mode on the way
We are working on the endless mode right now, trying to balance it more and speed up the progress. We have added a lot of more sounds and other unimportant things for the gameplay, but which will make the game even more fun.
More customization
We have a bunch of customization which will be implemented. We can't reveal them all, you'll simply have to play and be surprised.
We are also working on some details for the diner, such as decorations.
Controller changes
We are improving the controlls to make the ketchup/mustard easier.
Before we only had the grip buttons, which were hard to find even for experienced players. Later on we added the thumb button, one could choose which one they perfered: grip button or thumb pad.
However, older people and/or kids seem to hold the grip buttons pressed constantly while playing. As a result the thumb button wouldn't work since pressing both the grip and thumb buttons didn't work for some reason.
We will now add more and easier controllers for this problem, starting with adding more commands in which the controller responds to, as well as implementing a Vive controller guide when a player holds the ketchup/mustard to long without getting anything out of the bottle.
This will hopefuly help the inexperienced players even more.
