  • Fixed an issue where games could start with the main menu still on screen.
  • Fixed an issue where joining a lobby with full player slots would not put you as spectator but instead push one of the players to a spectator slot.

  • Fixed an issue where keyboard inputs from keyboards with a very high repeat rate could be registered twice.

Miscellaneous Improvements



  • Entity names in the Wiki now have the same yellow color as in the games UI.
  • Increased the max speed of both edge and drag scroll by 25%.
  • Increased the size of the difficulty selection panel in the Campaign so that Very Hard is visible without having to scroll down.
  • Enter is now the default Hotkey for All Chat instead of Teamchat. We noticed a lot of people did not realise this and were talking to themselves in ranked games. This will only be the case for new players though. If you have already been playing before this patch, make sure to either reset your hotkeys or change it manually.


Bug Fixes



  • Unit upgrades are now spread over multiple frames to prevent network desyncs.
  • Fixed the big game hunting bonus vs wild dinos.
  • Fixed a bug where Units with an Ability did not have the highest priority in a Unit Selection.
  • Fixed an issue where you could already scroll the camera while being in the load screen.
  • Fixed an issue where the BonFire achievement didn’t trigger.
  • Ranked match lost ELO reduction is now in sync with the value you see in the post game message.
  • Solved an cornercase issue where you could not proceed in Necromas Campaign Mission 1.
  • Fixed the Forest Fire achievement so it only triggers after the correct rules.
  • Fixed an issue where the game UI breaks after the Server out of date message.
  • Fixed an issue where the APM stat breaks after multiple games in a row.
  • Fixed an issue where the AI player remained visible in the score screen when playing Ranked.
  • It's not possible anymore to start a custom online game with only AI players.

Hello everyone. Here are all the details you need regarding the upcoming tournament. All tournament games will be live broadcasted on https://www.twitch.tv/warcavestudios .

Chief of the Stone Age Invitational



<*>16 Players Invitational.
<*>$1000 Prizepool. Top 4 paid. 450 1st, 275 2nd, 175 3rd, 100 4th place.
<*>Invites will go out April 11th. Tournament will start April 15th and last until April 21th.
<*>Invites will consist of top 16 on the leaderboard. In case a qualified player cant be reached or is not interested in playing, the next in line will move up.

Structure



<*>16 player double elimination bracket.
<*>RO16 of the upper bracket will be BO1. Quarterfinals and Semifinals of the upper bracket will be BO5. Finals will be BO7. All other rounds including all lower bracket rounds will be BO3.
<*>Brackets will run via Challonge.com. Players will have to create an account there if they dont own one already.

Rules



<*>All players who confirmed their participation + backup players are required to enter a seperate tournament discord that will be used to schedule matches.
<*>The bracket will be generated by the standard seeding method. In the RO16, #1 will face #16, #2 will face #15 and so on.
<*>Players will have 5 days, Monday to Friday to play their matches up to the semifinals and are free to schedule them with their respective opponents to their own convenience.
<*>However, all matches are required to be casted by a tournament admin / official caster. Players need to take this into consideration and work with casters while scheduling.
<*>All games starting from the semifinals will be played consecutively on the following weekend. Day (Saturday or Sunday) and the start time are free to be decided with the respective players as long as it is a reasonable time for the viewers.
<*>The first map of each round will be picked by the lower seeded player, after that it is losers choice. The map pool consists of the ranked pool.
<*>Players will pick their faction for a game after the respective map is known to both players.
<*>If the faction selection process doesnt go smoothly, for example if no player is willing to pick a faction first, players will pm their desired faction to the caster in discord. Once the pm is sent, that faction is locked in and cant be changed anymore.
<*>Players are not allowed to play the same faction back to back. Example: In a BO3, Wildlanders, Wildlanders, Necromas is not allowed. Wildlanders, Necromas, Wildlanders however is legal.
<*>Exception: Players are allowed to pick Random at any time, for example to gamble on getting their favorite civ two times in a row.
<*>Each player is allowed one restart per Round. The restart has to be used within the first 90 seconds of a game. No reason has to be stated.
<*>Every game lobby has to be hosted by a caster.
<*>In case of a disconnect, it is up to the tournament admin to decide if the game will be restarted or if the game was, at the time of the disconnect, favoring one player to such an overwhelming extent that a restart is not reasonable and a win will be given to that player.
<*>In case of continuous connection problems / bad ping / disconnects by one player, it is up to the tournament admin to hand out a technical loss.
<*>Generally speaking, the tournament admin has absolute authority and the last word in case of any sort of dispute or controversy.
<*>Smurfing is not allowed. Players are not allowed to enter the tournament with more than one account or an account that is not their main account and / or does not use their usual nickname.
<*>Players who have been involved in any sort of malicious exploiting or similar behaviour before since the start of Warpartys Early Access are not allowed to participate.
<*>Warcave reserves the right to alter or add any rule at any given time without further notice.

Gameplay



  • Attack move now ignores non aggressive Wild Dinos (Triceratops).
  • Removed the 2000 power limit in the Survival mode.
  • Survival wave interval times updated. Easy: 50s ; normal: 45s ; hard: 40s from 75s; 60s; 45s. Time until the first wave arrives to 300s; 275s; 250s from 380s; 360s; 350s.
  • Added a notification board in the main menu for future news and server status messages.
  • Improved the SFX of the Immortality Power to be more visible.

Balancing



  • Raptor speed reduced from 8 to 7.5.
  • Feral Raptor speed reduced from 8 to 7.5.
  • Feral Raptor Damage reduced from 10 to 9 and HP reduced from 130 to 125.
  • Caustic Dilophosaurus HP reduced from 105 to 100.
  • Mammoth HP reduced from 700 to 675.
  • Titan Mammoth HP reduced from 700 to 675.
  • Whisps Attack Speed reduced from 1.00 to 0.90.
  • Entangle Duration reduced from 5 seconds to 4 seconds.
  • Entangle Slow reduced from to 3 to to 3.5.
  • Whirlpool ability now deals friendly damage.
  • Immortality Duration reduced from 10 seconds to 8 seconds.

Bug Fixes



  • Increased the resend attempts from 5 to 10 to address an increased amount of disconnects. Now if a package gets lost, it will try to resend 10 times instead of 5 before a disconnect happens.
  • Fixed a bug where Whisps could still attack while under the effect of the Immortality Power.
  • Solved an issue that could cause a desynch when the Feral Raptor upgrade finishes.
  • The terrain in campaign mission 6 got overhauled completely to prevent units from falling through the floor.
  • In very rare cases Units can still fall through the floor in other missions. They will now immediately spawn back on the grid or if that is not possible beside a settlement.
  • Fixed an issue with the unit visibility detection.

Chief of the Stone age Tournament Announcement

Hello everyone!

Get ready for the CHIEF OF THE STONE AGE INVITATIONAL in which 16 players will fight for glory, cash and bragging rights in a Double Elimination Format.

One of our goals for the full PC release of Warparty has always been to provide those who prefer some action-packed PvP over Singleplayer content with a thriving playerbase and a satisfying experience. Therefore, we are stoked to announce that Warcave will be hosting a 1vs1 tournament with a prize pool of $1000 shortly after release.

But wait! If it’s an invitational tournament, how can I participate, you might ask. The answer is simple: The invites will go out to the top 16 players of the Warparty leaderboards (which of course will get reset on release day to keep it fair) on April 11th, at 12 midnight CEST. The tournament itself will start April 15th. So shape up, jump right into the matchmaking and secure yourself a spot to compete for the prize money.
Additional information regarding structure and rules will follow soon.

See you on the battlefield; for one chief shall rule them all!

Online Multiplayer Support for Xbox, PS4, Switch

Hello everyone! Yet another announcement!

We are extremely happy to announce that Warparty for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch will also feature Online Multiplayer for up to 4 players. Expect it to be available on release day or shortly after release via a patch.

After announcing the release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Switch, we received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback which was great to see. However, people also voiced their concerns regarding the lack of Multiplayer on consoles. While most of you were very understanding of our reasons for that decision, it became clear pretty quickly that the demand was quite a bit bigger than we expected. So, after a lot of consideration on our side, we decided to put in the extra hours and work on implementing Multiplayer for consoles after all.

  • Optimized networking traffic to be significantly more efficient, preventing disconnects during high load matches.
  • Tornado power pfx adjusted to better fit the range of the target circle.
  • The logic for attack move has been improved to use the priority system better.
  • Added a coloured highlight to the Lobby screen to better show a player’s “Ready” status.
  • Caravans are now counted for the total worker count.

Bug Fixes



  • Fixed a bug where picking “Random” for faction selection would consistently lean towards Vithara.
  • Fixed a bug where projectiles would despawn before they could hit the target.
  • Fixed a bug where opening the chat function right after loading would prevent it from being closed.
  • Fixed a bug where using the Ancestors power would increase the zombie cap by 3 rather than 4.
  • Fixed a bug where the Elder Medic ability would remain active after the affected unit has received the revive effect, and remained permanent if the Elder Medic died before the effect ended.
  • Fixed a font issue with Spanish and Portugese where certain characters appeared incorrectly.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed Nereids and Panthers to do damage while under the effects of the “Immortality” power through their active abilities.
  • Changed text scaling for certain languages so they no longer overlap each other.
  • Fixed a bug where the primary selection changed when casting an ability or a unit in the selection died.
  • Fixed an issue where the Russian font had some missing characters.
  • Fixed a bug where larger units could still attack while he Immortality power was active.
  • Cancelling commands on a group of villagers will now properly remove white building markers that were placed by them.
