Warbanners

Warbanners has launched!

It may have taken longer than expected, but we simply had to make sure Warbanners was great on launch, and, well, it is! It also out now, and ready to be played, and mastered.
Grab Warbanners on Steam now, and prepare for engrossing fantasy, tactical, turn-based battles with subtle-but-crucial RPG elements!

Please note that Warbanners is a game with a high level of difficulty - even at the "easy" level of difficulty, enemies are very dangerous! Only the most hardcore players who have mastered all game mechanics will be able to play the game at the "hard" level. Please, don't try this at home!

Warbanners launches October 18!

We've finally decided on the release date! Warbanners will launch on October 18! In honor of this event, we've replaced all the old screenshots with new ones and have released a brand new trailer as well.

We've made a lot of improvements as we prepare for release – adding animation to trees, the option to play with a reduced amount of Health for all units (speeding up battles), new environment sprites, and we seriously reworked the look of all the maps. Those who participated in our previous tests will be pleasantly surprised. :)

Another good bit of news is that the volunteers are translating text into Spanish and German! If you're interested in helping with the translation – please write to me.

Thank you for your patience and kind wishes!

Work in progress

Hello strategists,

We can safely say that we have finally finished balancing Warbanners (OK, almost)! What's more, we have fleshed out our setting, and added many bits of useful and interesting trivia. We did, for example, craft a display showing the number of enemies killed by each unit, and made it possible to know which unit's characteristics is available at any point, and which enemy can be targeted. We also added damage mapping to spells, better and more informative markers for units, and went on and improved all sorts of other little things.

The team also put a ton of work into the appearance of Warbanners; all units were re-colored, and more than half of our environmental sprites were redone, making the videos and screenshots currently on display rather obsolete. We will, of course, very soon be replacing them with the new shiny ones!
