We've just put out an update for the Warden's Will Demo for Next Fest! Here is a video below explaining what we have changed in short, or you can read the whole thing below. Go now and destroy some evil robots!
Heroes
General
- Faster ground movement
- Fixed consistency of reactors trails
- Added low health indicator
- Added visual effects to better represents effective bonuses and augments
- Changed Damage Taken SFX
Dasher
- Complete rework of the hero movement
- Faster and shorter dashes
- Dashes are now directional
- Energy regen is much faster
- Trailstring is faster and has 4 dashes
- Bladestorm can now be chained/re-triggered if not all 10 attacks are used
Hover
- Closer camera when hovering to emphasize shooting
- Lower energy consumption
- Ion Cannon damage is higher and duration is shorter
- Orbital Strike triggers faster
- Orbital Strike camera zooms out while targeting
Flyer
- Now gains speed going downwards while losing speed going upwards
- This results in longer range with proper use
- Faster energy regen
- Camera tweaks
Weapons
- New weapon : Cryoflare ! Is it cold ? Is it hot ? Who knows !
- Minor sound effect changes - Some are still placeholders
Enemies
General
- Improved performances in some specific areas of the level 1
- Improved visual feedback whenever an enemy spawns
- Fixed attack animation of the Howitzer
- Added visual cues when a Driller attacks
- SFX improvements for attack telegraphs
Breaches
- Changed visuals of the enemy breaches
Level Changes
- Necrogod influence has spread following failed wardens attempt to save Sentient installation.
- Fixed multiple collision issues
Interactables
General
- Added white outline whenever player can use the interaction key with an interactable
- Collecting Bits and Data is now “a bit” easier
- Improved visibility of price display when approaching Augments dispensers
Transmitter
- Revamped all visuals
- When fully uploaded, a transmitter now hint locations leading toward other transmitters
- Exposed the list of transmitters to find under the objective tracker in the user interface
Crystals
- Added an effect to better represent the area of effect triggered upon crystal destruction
- Red crystal now grants a temporary damage boost
Accessibility
- Removed tutorial level section
- Fixed stutter and/or flickering that could appear when launching the game
- Added more contextual tutorial hints when playing
- Added hints during loading screens
- Better gamepad support overall
- You can now tweak 3 different and cumulative aim assist settings from Options menu
- Aim Assist can be set for mouse-keyboard and gamepad separately
- Graphic settings now fully works as intended - except Shading Quality that has no effect at the moment
- Audio settings now fully works as intended
- Added missing icons for mouse-keyboard in case of remapping
- Remapping a key when playing will now properly be updated on the user interface without requiring the game to be relaunched
