Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector - Daemons of Khorne out now
Daemons of Khorne descend on Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector
Uncontrollable rage and bloodthirst arrive with the Daemons of Khorne expansion unleashing a new playable faction and units
In the grim darkness of the far future, the forces of Chaos never rest. The Daemons of Khorne are the latest playable faction set to inspire terror in Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector.
Bloodthirst
Eight murderous units, including the dreaded Daemon Prince, have been released in the new Daemons of Khorne expansion available today on PC and Xbox, and tomorrow on Playstation (03.00pm BST). These include rage-fuelled Bloodletters and Bloodcrushers, ready to charge into battle with their insatiable need for slaughter. Flesh Hounds hunt without mercy, while the hulking deamonic Bloodmaster leads these fearsome dark forces.
Hellbound War
The new Daemons of Khorne DLC brings even more death and destruction. The Skull Cannon, a war machine forged in the smoldering furnaces at the foot of the Blood God’s throne, can deliver long-range volleys of fire fed by the skulls of the slain foes. Created from the infinite anger of the Lord of War and armed with a Great Axe of Khorne, the mighty Bloodthirster is one of the most exalted of champions. He is joined by the ability-rich Daemon Prince, once mortal, who the dark god himself has given the gift of Daemonhood.
New Terror
Every Daemons of Khorne unit features detailed models and unique special abilities. The expansion will also grant players access to brand-new HQ abilities that benefit the entire faction: Aura of Terror, Echoes of Endless Fury, and Blood Tithe. The expansion’s Blood Legions are itching to be led in both skirmish and multiplayer battles, as well as in a Planetary Supremacy campaign.
Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector - Daemons of Khorne DLC out on August 24th
The Daemons of Khorne will arrive as a playable faction in Battlesector on August 24th.
The warp-fuelled manifestations of rage and violence are the latest playable faction in Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector. Eight murderous units, including the dreaded Daemon Prince, are available to bring Chaos to the galaxy. Bring your armies of the Blood Legions to bear in skirmish and multiplayer battles, or to a Planetary Supremacy campaign.
The Blood Legions
Bloodletters and Bloodcrushers are ready to charge into battle fuelled by rage and an insatiable need for slaughter, while the Flesh Hounds hunt without mercy those who have dared to offend the Blood God. These horrors are led into battle by the Bloodmaster: powerful Daemons that use dark rituals to create a rent in the fabric of reality, allowing more of their kind to pour forth and shed blood for their ever-thirsty god.
Hellforged Machines of War
The Skull Cannon, a war machine forged in the furnaces of the Blood God’s throne, grinds across the battlefield collecting the skulls of the dead to be used as ammunition for its long-range volleys of fire and death. Nobody is safe from the mighty Harvester Cannon of the Soul Grinder, a diabolic fusion of daemon and machine, firing volleys of pure hatred.
Champions of Chaos
The Blood God can always count on his most exalted champions: the Bloodthirsters and Daemon Princes.
Created from the infinite anger of the Lord of War and armed with a Great Axe of Khorne, the mightly Bloodthirster stalks the battlefield, its arrival heralding the death of all who stand before them. These Greater Daemons also bring a range of special abilities to enhance their power, whilst their massive wings allow them to fly across the battlefield to seek more skulls for the Skull Throne.
A Daemon Prince was once a mortal, now given the gift of Daemonhood by the Dark God they worship. Upon being granted this precious gift, each Daemon Prince is endowed with murderously sharp talons, in addition to an Infernal Cannon and the deadly melee weapons they carry; none stand a chance against the Hellforged Sword or Daemonic Axe.
Every unit features distinctive, finely crafted models and unique special abilities. In addition, access brand new HQ abilities that benefit the entire faction: Aura of Terror, Echoes of Endless Fury and Blood Tithe.

Warhammer Skulls Festival - Orks DLC & Firepower Pack
Battlesector and Gladius are taking part in the Warhammer Skulls Festival, with releases and major updates for both games, as well as a sale across the whole franchise.
But let's take a look at it, shall we?
Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector
We are glad to announce that a new DLC for Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector is available from today, introducing a new playable faction: the Orks are coming!
Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector - Orks
The most warlike race in the Galaxy, Orks live for the joy of battle and are always chasing their next big Waaagh! They arrive in Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector with fifteen super-killy units that are all armed to da teef and overflowing with Dakka!
Armed to da Teef
The Bad Moons Ork Clan are notorious for having the fastest growing teef and therefore the most wealth, which also means they have the biggest and snazziest guns. As their clan momentum grows their Dakka gets more accurate and even more killy!
Waaagh!
Ork Boyz feed off the Waaagh energy of the mob, and inspire each other to even greater acts of ferocity. Ork boyz love nothin’ more than getting stuck into a good scrap and a group of Boyz, Nobz and Grots is a big green fungal momentum machine!
Might Iz Right
Every good Waaagh needs a ferocious Warboss at its head. A towering slab of muscle and aggression, the Warboss is only rivalled in size by the Meganobz in their Big Mek built mega armour or the super stompy Deff Dreads.
More Dakka
Orks might not be famed for their accuracy but what they always bring is the most dakka and the Battlesector boyz are no different! Lootas wield heavy-duty Deffguns, that lay down terrifying amounts of dakka whilst the Flash Gitz love to show off their snazzy weapons that are right killy and give the enemy a solid krumpin’.
We'll be releasing a new update for Battlesector on Monday April 17th. As per usual, please let us know what you think of the list of changes. Your feedback is essential to keep improving the game.
The team is currently hard at work. We'll have news about new content soon.
Changes since 1.2.46
Changes
Below is a summary of changes made to Planetary Supremacy. Note that existing save game files from prior versions are unlikely to load with this build. A legacy branch with the current live version of the game (with the Preview version of Planetary Supremacy) will be kept available as a legacy branch/build on Steam, GOG and Slitherine Standalone.
Doubled the number of tiles to battle over on the Overworld Map.
Some tiles are vacant and can be claimed without a battle.
Removed the starting battle. When the campaign states, the opening animation is played. Then, the first moves occur on the overworld map.
The 3 main armies now start at 1500 or 2000 points (depending on difficulty settings)
Neutral faction armies now have more unit types in them and are larger - either 1250 or 1500.
The resource tiles have been renamed, and are no longer themed as Imperial assets.
Auxillary Force (formerly Vox caster relay) gives a 300-point bonus to the army cap.
The Expanded Authority resource now works by building up charge from performing actions on the Overworld Map. When fully charged, an extra Action Point is awarded for 1 turn. Once the Action Point is used, the resource must recharge again to provide the next Action Point.
Rapid Resupply (formerly Munitions Depot) reduces unit cooldowns by 1.
Fighting for resource tiles uses a new objective type 'Sieze and Control'.
The attacker gains points for each unit in a zone near a resource asset on the map.
The defender gains points for killing the attackers' units.
In Planetary Supremacy battles, all AI units are now activated when the battle starts.
Added a difficulty setting to control requisition cost for the enemy, separately from the player.
Revised the AI that controls the two AI opponents. The AI should now be more aggressive in attacking the human player.
Ensured that Neutral factions will always have an HQ Commander unit in their army.
All of the procedural maps configurations used in Planetary Supremacy have been adjusted to reduce chokepoints and support bigger armies.
The “Preview” label has been removed.
Other changes:
Added ‘Sieze and Control’ as a new objective type in single-player skirmish mode, and multiplayer.
Added an option to enable using melee weapons by default when attacking a unit on an adjacent tile.
Enable this setting in the Options menu under Controls/UI.
In all non-narrative battles, the HQ Commander can now be chosen from available HQ units in the army loadout phase.
Click on the HQ Commander icon next to an HQ unit to make it the HQ Commander.
Implemented a new battlefield promotion system. If your HQ Commander is killed in battle, and another HQ unit is available, they become the HQ Commander at the start of the next turn. Command Points are reset to zero.
This system is available in all game modes except the Age of Crimson Dawn campaign.
All weapon options are now displayed when inspecting a unit type in the army management UI.
Added the amount of momentum gained per model killed to the targeting tooltip.
Added support for customizing army names via the onscreen keyboard when using a gamepad. This mostly impacts consoles.
Improved performance of the larger Planetary Supremacy hex map on consoles.
Improvements to AI for transport mechanics.
Improvements to AI for using Adepta Sororitas HQ Commands.
Balancing
Changed the temporary stat modifiers apply when performing a Fallback action:
Evasion: 10 (35)
Damaged Received: -50% (0%)
Accuracy: -5 (-10)
We noticed that the fallback action was inconsistent as to when the combatants were able to score hits. These changes should make falling back more consistent and visceral.
