SIENNA FUEGONASUS
Sienna Fuegonasus is an addict, forever torn between her will to control the destructive magics of Aqshy – the Wind of Fire – and a burgeoning desire to set the world alight for no other reason that the rush of magic in her bones. Another being might succumb to such temptations, and indeed, many have. But Sienna’s compassion and wry sense of humour keep her grounded.
Sienna’s introduction to her companions was not the most auspicious. What began as a journey in chains has blossomed into common cause of seeing the Reikland freed from invaders.
Tonight is a big night for Vermintide as it becomes available on Xbox One's Games With Gold programme!
This week, in preparation for a tide of new players, we have prepared as best we can our infrastructure and required systems for these players as they jump on board.
That said, we'd like to bring attention to the possibility that there could be some hiccups as players look to login to the game en mass, so whilst we hope everything will go smoothly, there's a chance - however small - that these hiccups might impact games played on all platforms, Steam included.
Should issues arise, do keep an eye on our forums for updates or news from us regarding those, and as ever - we thank you for your patience.

We're aware of the current inability for some users to log in. As noted above, we have put in place measures to reduce the impact a whole host of new players would have on our login servers, and seemingly the tide of players is overwhelming things a little right now.
We're doing all we can to rectify this and return you to your next episode of rat-smashing.

Work continues to return life to the backbone of Vermintide. Due to the sheer volume of new player accounts being created, we have had to enter a phase of emergency maintenance and bring the game offline whilst we perform surgery.
We will do all we can through the night, and will return early tomorrow with the latest updates. (work continues, but your messenger must sleep!)

BILE TROLL
Trolls are known for their indiscriminate appetites and raw, physical might. Bile Trolls, their being forever altered by the warping might of the Dark Gods, are even more ferocious.
RAT OGRE
Few enemies are as terrifying or as dangerous as Clan Moulder’s Rat Ogres. Though their precise provenance is clouded by history and the shrouded nature of Skaven society, it is clear that the brutes are well-named, melding a rat’s ferocity and cunning with the bullish, lumbering might of an Ogre.
Death on the Reik is the upcoming and highly anticipated DLC for Vermintide featuring two new levels, a new weapon in Ranald's Bones for Sienna, and (as usual) loads and loads of filthy rat-men.
We certainly said in the Vermintide 2 Reveal Stream that the expected release was mid-November and we appreciate we're already stepping out of that release window. We feel very much obliged to give an update to those receiving the content free through their Vermintide 2 pre-order as well as heroes just looking to continue their epic adventures through Vermintide.
You can expect the release to be next week. We acknowledge this is not a 'date' but we just want to let you know what we're looking at - and as soon as we firm up a specific release date we'll update you here, and over in the Vermintide 2 community hub as well.

CHAOS MARAUDER Introducing the Raider, Bulwark, Savage and Mauler!
Barbaric tribesmen from the frozen north, Marauders are natural-born fighters, tempered by a life of hardship, who despise the soft-bellied Empire and its notions of laws and discipline. Theirs is an existence where only the strong survive, where worth is proved upon the field of battle, not by cowering behind walls of stone and steel.
Marauders come to the fight in a storm of axes, sword and clubs, praises to the Dark Gods howling from their lips. Such a sight is born from the darkest of legends, an assault fit to chill the heart of even the bravest soul and sweep away the strongest defence.
On the battlefield, you will encounter Marauders with various skillsets and specialisations. Veterans of the battlefield, our heroes have developed their own slang to refer to each Marauder variant to aid in quick identification and warning. What the Rotbloods call one another, we can only guess.
