Announcing our next DLC for Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide: Death on the Reik!

Theft and treachery lead the heroes on a chase down the river Reik on behest of the dear Innkeep.
Two new levels (Reikwald Forest and The River Reik), a brand new weapon for Sienna Fuegonasus and heaps more Skaven to slay.
As has come to be a tradition, we'll also be taking a balance pass on some of the items and traits - making adjustments based on both your feedback as well as our own tracking.
We'll have more to share soon on both the DLC and also a test phase we'll have in place ahead of launch.

Fixed so hawkeye headshot bonus is additive, instead of multiplicative (works for clients as well)

Castle Drachenfels - Fixed the crash that prevented players from starting the level.

Patch 1.9.8 - Fixes & Tweaks

Perhaps it's lunch where you are. Maybe it's breakfast. Who knows - you might be asleep? Depends, really.
For Vermintide though we know one thing, it's time for patch 1.9.8.
Below covers the changes in this patch, but we wanted to throw a spotlight on one in particular. We have finally been able to go live with a change which allows you to see the recently played with heroes in the Recent Games feature in Steam!
Feature updates:
Recently played with Vermintide players now appear in the Recent Games list in Steam π
Wizard's Tower - Fixed situation where a player could hot-join the game and appear in an inescapable room π¦
Community Goal - 100,000,000 Skaven - COMPLETE

Well.
We set a bar we genuinely knew would be tough. 100,000,000 dead Skaven was really a huge ask. Voices cried out "but this is impossible! It just doesn't add up!". They said it couldn't be done. They doubted you.
At about 9pm (Swedentime) on Sunday, we thought it couldn't be done.
You made huge progress that Sunday, but was it enough?
What happens if this just doesn't work out?
Where will we put all these hats?!
We had a lot of questions and not many answers.
But as the night went on, the fight for hats was relentless. Heroes of the night, heroes worldwide, continued the onslaught.
The event has come to an end, and as the figure above shows, you smashed it, heroes. We're impressed with your savagery and dedication.
Your new hats await you.

Over on Twitch this weekend, you may have come across the 'SkullsForTheSkullThrone' community, where streamers playing Warhammer titles united under one banner, and showcased games - such as Vermintide - to the wider Twitch community.
They had their own challenge running, and this morning their viewer goals got beat - and with it come some pretty neat prizes! Various studios (ourselves included) created some bespoke prizes should their goal be met. You can find the full set of creations here on the right hand side of the channel, in the sidebar:

47,688,230 is a lot of dead rat-men, and we applaud you for your efforts thus far - really, but these hats aren't going to earn themselves!
