Patch 0.45 is on the way!
Greetings brave warriors!
We know you haven't heard from us since the release of patch 0.44 (which added controller support, shields and more).
We have been really busy working on patch 0.45. At first it was supposed to be a simple patch, but as the Gavra way - we just can't settle for small things :)
In patch 0.45, we are going to include cool new features we have been working on. The main features are:
New "Rally the crowd!" Action:
For sometime you, our players have been telling us that the crowd needs to be more involved and have heavier impact in combats.
So we listened, and added a cool new action - "Rally the crowd!"
In patch 0.45 you can command the crowd to "Boo" your opponent, throwing bananas at him and some other stuff (we don't want to spoil yet).
So how it works? when entertaining the crowd, you gain the normal crowd excitement, and with it, crowd bars. When you reach enough bars the action is unlocked. The more crowd bars you have, the higher the action level is.
level 1 - throw bananas, lightly drain your opponent crowd excitement and lightly damage him.
level 2 - throw bananas, medium drain your opponent crowd excitement, medium damage him and root him to his current grid for 2 turns.
level 3 - throw bananas, Heavy drain your opponent crowd excitement, Heavy damage him and stun him for 1 turn.
With this action, the crowd is more involved, and getting crowd excitement is becoming more vital. We hope you will like it!
Survival Leaderboard:
In patch 0.45 we are adding the "Survival Leaderboard" that will appear in the main menu. Whenever you finish a run in the Survival mode, your score will be uploaded to the global leaderboard. Letting you compete in global rankings! you can see the top 5 players and where you are standing against them.
This feature lays the first stone towards multiplayer and online components!
Hall of Fame:
We added a new Hall of Screen in which you can see every player who finished the final boss (Currently Azar - Molded by fire).
So when the patch is out - look for your name!
And of course, we are adding many more improvements (warriors can have a different color for the hair and beard), balance changes and bug fixes.
Patch 0.45 is going to be released next week, so stay tuned for news!
Until then - have fun and try to keep your nuts safe.

Patch 0.44 Revealed
Welcome, warriors! Sit down and relax. I said relax, guys – yeah, that includes your swords, axes, bows, and other tools of destruction, alright? Bloodthirsty Danny, would you be so kind as to move your knife away from that guy’s throat? I would prefer if you do not paint the floor of this tavern with blood, thank you very much. OK, now that everyone's civil and nice, we can start.
We are working very hard here at Gavra Games to bring you a new update to Warriors: Rise to Glory!, and we’re happy to announce that it’s getting closer and closer. Today we want to reveal some of the new stuff included in next update. First and foremost: we are implementing gamepad controls! You will be able to play the whole game with your gamepad, so you will be able to entertain the crowds with your fighting skills while lying on the couch with a cold drink of your choice!
That’s not all, of course. We are also adding some new shields for you to buy, equip, and fight with in the arena: spiked shields, dark elf shields, Roman shields, Samurai shields, and peasant Shields. If you have ever wondered what the hell are Romans and Samurais doing in the Indiekingdom, may I remind you that the emperor Ayziz uses his magic to bring here the best warriors from different places and times?
Finally, a lot of skills will get a 3rd level you can invest in: basically, that means that you can get more powerful in more different ways. The full list of improved skills will be revealed soon. And obviously, there will also be a lot of minor fixes and changes – we will publish the full patch notes when the time comes.
That being said, I see you guys are itchy. Looks like you can take the gladiator out of the fight but not the fight out of the gladiator. Or, well, not without cutting him in half, and that can spoil anyone’s afternoon, can’t it? Please go outside if you want to fight – Danny, what did I just tell you about your knife? You’ll have to scrub that door, yeah, you heard right! The rest of you, get the hell out of here! Remember that if you want to exchange battle tips and tricks, give ideas and suggestions for the game, or just engage with other fighters, you are invited to join us on our Discord server. Good luck in the arena!

Greetings, brave warriors! E3 is always an intense week for gamers, and we hope you enjoyed the show with all its hype and excitement. We’ve been hard at work here – the mad emperor Ayziz does not wait for anyone, and he had us working really hard to get you more content so you could fight in Warriors: Rise to Glory! for his amusement and eventual death by your hands. Well, he’s likely not considering that last part – he’s mad after all, right? Anyway, we’re happy to announce that Patch 0.43 will release on June 20, and it brings some new features and content for the game!
KOREA JOINS THE FIGHT!
We will publish the full patch notes next week, but we wanted to give you a taste of it today. First of all: Korea joins the Indiekingdom! Patch 0.43 adds Korean localization to Warriors: Rise to Glory!, and we’ve also added Chinese and Korean names, as well as improved the Chinese localization. Korean is the third language supported by Warriors after English and Chinese, and there will be more languages supported further down the road.
BEAT THE MIGHTY AZAR IN A NEW TOURNAMENT
That’s not all, warriors! Patch 0.43 also includes a brand new tournament with a new boss to beat: the mighty Azar, Molded by Fire. You will get a new achievement if you defeat him – but it won’t be an easy task, and to help you to achieve this goal, we have added 3 new weapons: the axe Apocalypse, the sword Arcane Justice, and the bow Last Whisper; as well as Dark Elf armors, available for purchase at level 9 and above.
Oh, and the level cap is now at level 11, so you can be more powerful than ever! There’s also a new title, The Thug, and you can now break the chest room because… well, because breaking things is fun, isn’t it? After all, you’re a warrior who kills people for other people’s amusement, not a museum caretaker!
At the request of our community, we have also implemented the possibility of removing gore and blood from the game. Maybe it turns your stomach, or you just want to play in local multiplayer with your younger siblings. Whatever the reason, you will be able to turn all gore off in the Options menu.
Patch 0.43 will include many other improvements, overhauls, and bug fixes. Stay tuned – and good luck in the arena!
Greetings, brave warriors! The combat is over, the crowd has left, and we have some time to talk while the slaves clean the arena up and the victors walk away (or, in some cases, hop away) with the spoils to celebrate their triumphs. It’s been a while since we came here to update you on our plans… and that’s the point of this update, actually. We want to let you know that, starting from today, we want to improve our communication with you, not only here but also in our Steam forums and social media channels.
A COMMUNITY FOR WARRIORS
The whole point of our time on Steam Early Access is to develop the game hand to hand with you, receiving your feedback and trying to implement it in the best possible way, so the game reaches its true potential. That is not to say that we have not been paying attention, but we have realized that we can do it much better. Because of this, we will take a whole new approach, and we will do our best to be as available, open, and transparent as possible.
This starts with a major overhaul of our Steam forums, so they are more clear, intuitive, and easy to use. Our social media channels, both Twitter and Facebook, will be more active than ever – again, starting from today. And we would like to invite you to our Discord server, which you can join by clicking this link. On top of it all, we will publish a bi-weekly dev blog, to let you know of our current developments and our next plans – sometimes there might be more updates if we think that there is something that we really have to say, but at the very least, you will find new content here every two weeks.
OPENING THE TAVERN
And how will our social media channels, forums, and Discord server work? Well, think of them as the tavern of the arena where the warriors meet after a tournament. It’s a place for exchanging combat tips, strategies, gossip – but also a place where they can talk with the managers of the arena (that is, us) on how to improve it! Every channel has its own peculiarities, so drop by and say hello to find out which one fits best your interests.
We invite you to take part in the development process of this game along with us. Thank you very much for your continued support; we’re looking forward to talking with you on our Discord server, Facebook page, Twitter profile, or Steam forums. Now go out there and find glory by kicking someone in the nuts, warrior!
