Patch 0.9

0.9 - Last Early Access Patch

This will be the the final patch before release.

There is New Game+ in the game now. You can unlock it in the options, or by finishing the game.
All quests and most dialogues are still from normal game though, so primarily it's to test the combat mechanics.

There are Witches now in the game, but their sanctuary is still unpopulated and very much work in progress.

The Chain Trap ability now only triggers on spirits whose contract you do not have.

Patch 0.8.5

0.8.5 - Resistance Patch

There's a resistance hiding somewhere now, and they have a few optional things for you to do. I've also unlocked the marina office and the guild house, but it's still missing some things.

Arena is finished but it's not totally balanced, probably. There is also an end boss to the arena. It may look impossible, but it can be defeated, if you try enough.

You can now get the arm blaster along with three programs (spells) for it.

You can also contract Sid and Max now.

Getting Closer To Full Release

We are getting close to 1.0. I promised the game will be significantly cheaper if you buy it during early access, and for two years it has been. This lower price is ending on September 26th. There will be other future discounts of course, but it won't be as cheap as it is now for a while. So if you have the game whishlisted, and if you're planning on getting it, you can do so now at a lower price.

There will probably be a 0.9 patch before we get to 1.0, but these will be close together. This will be primarily to test everything out and find any big bugs before full release.

Void Barrier Elements Workaround

If you encountered a glitch stepping on any Void Barrier locks, unable to open them with correct spirits, this workaround should fix it. Just dismiss all spirits and re-summon them and it should be ok.

Patch 0.8

0.8 - Story Patch

You can play the main storyline from start to finish, excluding New Game+. There the story will continue. In 1.0 you'll be able to start NG+ without finishing the game first. All, or near all (I might add one or two in 1.0) spirits are implemented, most are capturable (You can't capture Sid, Max or Munnin anywhere right now).

- All spirits implemented

- Tether and Capture are now one spell - Capture, cost is 0 HP

- You can now Summon and Dismiss in combat. Summon is a spell and takes a turn, Dismiss is instantaneous

- Spirits can Absorb and Expel in combat, both is instantaneous

- Dismissing spirits outside of combat doesn't exhaust them anymore, so you can freely switch them out without resting

- Dismissing spirits in combat exhausts them only if their HP isn't full

- Significantly boosted EXP in early fights

- Lowered chance of encounters in some areas, notably the path to the Temple of Uruk (previously known as Sumerian Temple)

- Cutscenes work differently, you confirm to advance them, and you can go back to previous slides

0.4.3 - More Options Patch

You can set combat speed, music and sound level in the options now. I added a few more fishes and a fishing spot near the temple. You can buy bait at the docks in town. I added and changed a bit of the outside world.

0.4.1 - Small Fixes Patch

I made Azazel of Uruk larger, more in line with his design as I envisioned it. Now there is a disclaimer at the start of the game when you first run it. Lastly, I fixed a couple of minor bugs and graphical glitches.

Patch 0.4.1

0.4.1 - Better Journal and More

- Journal is now a bit more readable, presented as a checklist with small hints here and there.

- Battle Tips are now Playing Tips, to guide new players (they pop up to prompt training and summoning)

- Rebalanced item prices (third eye is 500, spirit ward is 1000)

- You get Exp if you find third eye in the wild

- Minor bug fixes

PATCH 0.4.0

0.4.0 - Content and Fishing Update

I added quite a lot of content that still needs proper implementing, polish and testing that I'll be unlocking in future 0.4.x patches. This patch is the setup for that.

- Fishing is in the game. Currently 6 out of 32 fishes are implemented. More are coming in 0.4.x patches.

- There are 2 new greater spirits available: Bonewinkle and Azazel of Uruk. More are coming in 0.4.x patches.

- One more level of the arena is accessible.

- Inn area unlocked, but not populated.


Old saves are obsolete, but future 0.4.x patches will work with 0.4.0 saves.
