Red Hot Showdown
It's hot out, but not as hot as your short game, probably.
First time playing in a Showdown? We’ve got you covered with everything you need to know.
Qualifying Round
- The qualifying round lasts three days
- Players have a daily chance each day of the qualifying round to secure their spot in the elimination round
- The top 50% of the qualifying round leaderboard advance to the elimination round
- Players that qualify on day one (top 50%) do not need to play on day two or three of the qualifying round
- Players that do not qualify on day one are still eligible to compete on days two or three to secure an elimination round spot
Elimination Round
- The elimination round lasts two days
- Players only get one chance to grab a spot in the final round, unlike the qualifying round
- The top 50% of the elimination round leaderboard advance to the final round
Final Round
- The final round also lasts two days
- If you’ve made it this far, you’ll receive a prize no matter what, but the higher you rank, the bigger the prizes
Other Things to Know
- We base scoring on total strokes, meaning the fewer shots you take to complete your matches, the higher you rank on the leaderboard
- Incomplete or forfeited holes score as bogeys

- Match play has entered the coin rooms
- Find a quick match against someone worldwide and go head to head until the end
First Book Open Tournament
- First Book is on a mission to ensure that all children can succeed by removing barriers to equitable education.
- Tournament entry is U.S. only and will be played on Congressional CTTH
- Runs 8/1 - 8/31
- Receive a free bucket hat for entering the tournament
Animation Bug Fixes
- Improved putting swing animation
- Fixed an issue where using the swing circle too quickly caused the player not to go into backswing pose
- Fixed visual of hands on putter in reverse view
- Fixed animation going to 100% swing power pose when using less than 100% power on pitch, chip, and flop
- Fixed an alignment issue where switching to chip swing type had the club not meeting the ball position
- Fixed an issue where it looked like player was choking up on clubs in follow-through
- Fixed an issue causing player to take a full swing with a putter on the green
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a visual issue where Showdown rules text would be overlapped by top tabs
- Fixed a visual issue with Cuater Between The Lines Club causing it to appear all white
- Fixed an issue where the player hands would go off screen in some cases when equipping a glove
- Fixed an issue where the player would sometimes going into a default pose when equipping apparel
- Fixed an issue where new players were facing increased disconnections
- Fixed an issue on Desktop causing Wolf Creek Hole 2 tees to appear cut off
Red Hot Showdown
- Crank up the hot in a new Showdown
- Grab the Red Hot Hat in the Pro Shop
Topgolf Gloves
- Three new Topgolf gloves are now live in the Pro Shop

Gold Medal Showdown

Independence Royale
Showdown Royale is a twist on the Showdown events you love, with the competition turned up. Each group will start with only 20 people, reducing by 50% with each round – smaller leaderboards but with a better chance of winning!
This very special Independence Royale features a 3 daily qualifying rounds to take you through the holiday weekend!

- Three qualifying days in the qualifying round. If you're eliminated in the first day, you can enter the qualifying round again in days 2 or 3.

- Fixed an issue an issue causing trouble when rentals expired for players using Advance Mode equipment
- Fixed an issue in coin games where the losing player username is in all caps
- Fixed an issue with vapor trails and ball effects on Pixel devices
- Fixed an issue where putt preview was not showing correct on Pixel devices
- Updated a visual issue where the Monaco room listed “PRIZE” twice
- Fixed an issue where buying sponsor apparel in the pro shop caused a background error
- Fixed a visual issue in limited time coin rooms where the Pack Cap information was displaying that the room cap was set lower than the player cap even when the player’s tier exceeded the cap
