70,000 ski lifts constructed since launch! Patch out now.
Thanks for all the support you have shown us over the last 48 hours since launch. We have been keeping ourselves busy with the development while you guys have been testing over 70,000 ski lifts, jumps and bridges at the time of writing.. with a 13% success rate.. Poor skiers!

We have made the following changes to Carried Away:
Added skier camera follow (F1), tab to change skier
Added 1 drag lift level and 1 jump level to The Rookies due to popular demand
Piste map overhaul. Level difficulty is now displayed before completing the level.
Enabled skier control on drag lifts
Rope line in builder mode is now dashed and moves, also improved behaviour of rope dragging
Changed the plank stress indication to display red sooner before breaking.
Button in Sandbox to take you to Steam guides by MorphinMorpheus and Zautos
Made smooth camera the default camera option
Balance changes and bug fixes to some levels (Reach for the Star, Shark Fin Peak, Green Run)
Moved pride rock to piste map 2
Bolts can now be placed closer together before locking to each other
Made foundations more expensive (cost - 250)
Planks 3% stronger
Corrected some translations
Fixed a problem caused by building 2 planks in the same frame
Fixed a problem with the achievements
Carried Away Release Announcement!
After over a year of tinkering, mountain building and skier maiming, the day has arrived to get Carried Away in this physics sandbox.

We are very excited to say that Carried Away will be released on Wednesday the 4th of October!
We have just put the final touches on the release build and are already well on our way to the first major content patch. As promised in our last post, here are 2 gifs of previously undisclosed features that you will get on release day:
Multi stage levels: Choose the lifts & their locations for the most efficient or entertaining route
Skier control: Use WASD to give your skier that extra bit of style as they cruise through the levels.

Not long until release!
Hi everyone,
With the release of Carried Away just around the corner, I want to get the snowball rolling by telling you what you can expect from day one in Early Access, and what we will be working on in the months following release.
With chairlifts, drag lifts, gondolas, bridges and jumps already implemented, there is plenty of variety across the 40+ campaign levels and 3 different mountains! There is an additional tutorial mountain where you can learn the ropes. We estimate that this will provide around 5-8 hours of gameplay for the average lift builder, but plenty more if you’re trying to top every scoreboard!
But that’s just the beginning, the sandbox will be available on release day, allowing you to create and share your own slopes, ridiculous constructions and audacious replays. Our growing and active Discord community is already doing all of this, so there should be plenty of community created content to check out straight away!
We will be aiming for a content patch every 4- 6 weeks after release, adding another mountain with around 10 to 14 levels each time. To keep things as fresh as the mountain breeze, we will be adding new physics playthings to empower your creativity - timings on these will depend on balance and polish but the goal is one new feature per content patch! Current popular potentials are vehicles, bombs, winches, zip wires and magic carpets.
