Two brand new characters join the investigator ranks:
Denali always had a knack for computers and code breaking. Her tracking skills will surely be useful in these dark times.
On the other hand, Jin is excellent both in studies and gaming. Being the captain of the Red Phantoms, his reflexes are second to none.
These two characters are available for free, you just need to meet their unlock conditions.
Next content update, which is planned for 2-3 weeks from now, will feature a new level.

White Noise 2 Xbox One Release date announced - September 1st
White Noise 2, the highly praised assymmetric 4vs1 horror game, is available now for Pre-Order on Xbox One. It will be released on September 1st.

The game features true cooperative gameplay in a horror setting, where a group of investigators needs to find clues and solve a mystery while the creature lurks in the dark and hunts unaware investigators using its powers.
Cooperation is key, as a lone investigator is an easy prey for the creature, and it will be easier to explore the area if the group sticks together. Easier said than done though, since the dark environment and labyrinthine scenarios will put investigators' orientation senses to the test, and getting lost means death!
The creature will need to find the investigators, following their trails and setting traps to lure them in, while avoiding being spotted as its weakness to light makes it vulnerable once spotted.
The game features all improvements and new content that the Steam version, already available, has been getting over the past months, with 55 updates since its Early Access release.
Currently the game features 7 playable areas, over 10 investigators with different perks and playing style, and 4 creatures with different playstyles and powers. 2 pieces of DLC will also be available on release, featuring the Supporters Pack (A new flashlight plus a new Idol for the creature) and Astaroth, the Duke of Hell (a playable creature with new powers). Both will be priced at $1,99 each.

This week's update introduces a few minor changes in preparation for next week, which will include 2 new investigators, Denali & Jin, for free.
New features:
Accursed Pack: Added a new skin for each flashlight so they have 4 variations, as the rest of flashlights.

Improvements
Changed the ping calculation method in "Find Games" to a quicker, and hopefully better working, one.
Updated game to Unity Engine 5.6.3p1. Hopefully will help with the Linux issues.
Gameplay changes:
Reorganized unlocks to accomodate for the new characters introduced next week. Also they are now given more consistently, with 3 unlocks on every level up.
Incense: Increased duration from 20 to 30 seconds
Transmitter: Increased duration from 15 to 30 seconds
Energy bar: Increased effect duration from 20 to 30 seconds. Increased Endurance boost by a great deal.
Update #22 - Northern Lights
Both sides of The Hunt receive a boost this week: four new handy flashlights for the investigator pack and four new devilish idols for the creatures.

Improvements
Ping to host is now shown on the "Find Games" list (experimental). Game searches now take a bit longer because of this.

Gameplay changes:
Shaira: Medium perk now increases Ghosts' Speed and Interaction speed by 10%, Static is enabled only when over 60% battery charge.
Stealth now has a much larger weight on monster powers that target a single random investigator (Rusalka's Ambush and Astaroth's Disruption)
Bugfixes:
Olkoth's going out of invisibility should be now a bit better synchronized over the network.
Fixed a player being shown twice on the player list when someone leaves during a game.
Update #21 - Voices from the Past
This update features dozens of new tape recordings specific to each location, unveiling some dark secrets about the events that took place in each of them.

Update #19 - Balancing update
This weeks' update is a small one, with no new content and mainly featuring some changes to gameplay.
Gameplay changes
Changed some stats for the new investigator skins
Reduced effect of the Speed stat by 20% for both Investigators and Flashlights
Reduced effect on the Endurance stat by 10% for both Investigators and Flashlights
Hannah: Increased Exploration in 1 point
Light Resistance obtained from light exposure is now 25% smaller
Increased Ghost walk speed
Reduced Bravery and Exploration penalties when separating from other investigators by 20%
Update #18 - Witch Hour
In this update, we fill the customization gaps by adding cool new skins for Yumi, Nikolai and the White Noise Classic characters.
Next update will feature brand new tape recordings to add to the sense of dread.

Rift: 2 more shards are spawned (the required number of Shards doesn't change).
Most idols had the Horror/Range stats switched from their intended values.
Idol placement time now depends on the Idols stat (so creatures with high Idols stat place them quicker).
Update #17 - Creeping Death
This week we're adding 8 brand new skins, one for each starting character (Iker, Anna, Rinko, Phil, Maria and Vincent) along with the DLC characters Shaira and Corey.
Also, a new Idol is added to the Astaroth DLC to help spread the horror even more.

Skins for the rest of investigators (Yumi, Nikolai, and the classic characters) will come next week.
Today's update also features a new auto-balance mechanic to boost a bit the creature or the investigators if they're having a hard time. Please let us know your impressions on this on the forums.

Now a variable number of tapes will spawn outside landmarks (between 2 and 5).
Autobalance system: If the investigator group is picking tapes at a fast rate, the creature will receive a small stat boost; If the investigator group is not picking tapes at a fast rate, they will receive a small stat boost.

Update #16 - Hotfix
Hi!
Yesterday's update (including some balance changes to splitting players) has been a bit controversial, with some people liking the changes and some people against them. For now, we'll keep the changes and will see how it goes, and get some stats so next week we can decide if it's been a change for the better or not.
Today's changes are just small perk adjustments, nothing major really. But don't fret, we have more free content planned for next week!
