Hotfix

Fixed issue with some characters spawning into the game at the wrong locations
Fixed framerate issue

Beta Patch V0.4 is now LIVE!

Added Traps, monsters and barriers around shard locations.
Added more monster spells drops on % chance
Weapons now do elemental damage based on their elemental type
Added 8 towns of different elemental types around the world each town will sell weapons and armor, or items based on their elemental type
Treasure chests now spawn randomly around the world and can be found with the resonator but are protected by traps or monsters
Gear drops are more diverse and less frequent.
Monster and player levels have been re-adjusted to be more balanced
Spells like fireball have been fixed when casting from small races like fairy or gnome.
Critical hits have been fixed and no longer to over amounts of damage
Each elemental area now spawns the correct monsters of its elemental type as well as dropping items of that type
Monster's max level range increases the more shards you collect.
Monster per level xp has been adjusted
Seasons have been adjusted, ie.. winter storms are now a small chance instead of a constant.
Item stats now have a higher chance to roll more bonuses. Items will also have another pass in the coming hotfix,
You now save more frequently ie after you die.
Spell damage has been greatly increased to be more in line with weapon damage.
Some Weapons now glow according to their elemental type
Harvesting and crafting will be getting an update in the next hotfix

Beta Patch V0.3.2 hotfix

Removed Auto Level for player camera
You will no longer sink to the ground while flying
Updated monsters and locations.
Monsters and locations will be continually updated in the next few patches

Beta Patch V0.3.1 hotfix

Fixed a bug keeping your from getting Chain Lightning in the Tutorial.
Also Recommended to have shadows on High in the graphic settings unless framerates are too low.
Switched the default to settings to set shadows to High

Beta Patch V0.3 is now LIVE!

Tutorial Updated You now gain Boulder, Chain lightning, Tornado, Fireball, Rockwall, and Carve Earth and can spell weave between them by the end of the tutorial.
The spells and skill window have been updated to make specing spells easier
Crystal Shards have been added (recommend going through the tutorial) but you can buy a resonator from the crystal shop in town.
Each small island now has an elemental type and will spawn monsters of that element. The elemental type is influenced by how close it is to the main elemental islands.
Pressing the P key will now pause the game. The game will also be paused when a tutorial box is opened.
Rebinding the S key has been fixed

Updated Gear
Gear now is elemental based, with each element influencing certain stats
Monsters now drop gear related to their element
Gear stats have also been fixed and now function properly
Monsters are now immune to Magic attacks of their element
When hit with an attack that a monster is immune to it will show up as Immune in gold
Elves can now fall from any height without damage
Elves' main menu description has now displayed correctly

Character Creator
Skin color eye color and hair color now work properly

Items
Added Town Portal scroll available at General merchants for now

Beta Patch V0.2.1 is now LIVE!

Fixed some sounds not being controlled by the options.
Turned off the gear slider in Character creator for now.
Added tutorial for flying races.
Killing townsfolk now gives you a cursed buff making heath and mana 1 for a small duration as well as removing 1000 gold per instance.
Blare the Booming now gives you Boulder instead of Rockrain.

A new patch for the rest of the bug reports should be out by the end of the day.

Hi everyone! Patch V0.2 for our Beta build is now LIVE! Here's what's different:

  • Innate racial abilities are now in effect
  • Spell Weaving is now in affect
  • Airship Combat is now in affect
  • Airship Takeover is now in effect
  • Fixed quests not being accepted or finished
  • Fixed some monsters not attacking
  • Fixed not obtaining spells from quest bosses or monsters
  • Can now purchase Airships from docks in town
  • Can now have multiple airships

Dev Stream #2 -- Spells and Spell Weaving

Hi everyone! We concluded our second live developer stream yesterday.


In this dev stream, we answered a few questions that were raised by our community during and after our 1st dev stream, and then we'll talked about Magic -- the different types of spells in IoE, how you acquire them, and how you can combine different spells to achieve different effects (spell weaving).
