Live Dev Stream -- Introduction to Full Destruction and Voxel Combat

Hi everyone! We'll be doing a live developer stream this Saturday June 11th, at 9am Pacific Daylight Time.

In this dev stream, I'll be walking through the fully destructible environment in IoE, as well as our unique voxel combat. Here's a glimpse of Blare the Booming, one of the first bosses you'll encounter in IoE.

PATCH v0.17


  • Fixed Options sound and volume controls (*ongoing but most music and ambient can be adjusted)
  • Fixed issue with consuming mana on spell mode activation
  • Lowered level of goblins on t1 fire island
  • Flying your airship to quest locations will now complete those objectives

  • Re-did tutorial quest line
  • Quests can now be triggered and accepted via encounters, in addition to via traditional quest givers
  • Made more things in the world destructible
  • Added death animations to goblins that didn't have them before
  • You can now re-spawn at different spawn locations around the map
  • Fixed an issue that prevented you from equipping or unequipping your weapon properly
  • Adjusted the attack power of some monsters to be more balanced
  • Updated some foliage to change with seasons
  • Guards now protect all entrances to town
  • You can now acquire spells from monsters by killing them as well as absorbing them with your magitech shield
  • Monsters' nameplates now display their respective primary elements
  • Fixed an issue causing you to strafe abnormally after gliding
  • Magitech shield now deactivates properly

Added Climbing to all races

Approach any surface and hold W and you should begin climbing automatically
Sometimes a jump is required.

Added Vaulting over small obstacles and ledges

Fixed collision on farm silos

Fixed looting issue with a few spears, they will no longer cause your game to hitch and be unable to pickup (edited)
Fixed Town peoples material from being wonky
Fixed some icon that weren't showing up properly in the inventory
removed the airship quest as you now start the game with one
Increased the health curve of all monsters to be more in line with player progression
Fixed shrine guardian firewall from not de-spawning and not being able to cast when acquired
If you have a spell a shrine offers it will now just grant a skill point
Conversations, merchants, and stashes now close automatically when you walk away
You can now land you airship on the ground safely
Increased airship speed when holding shift
New notification when a monster is casting a spell you can absorb (hold left ctrl) as well as the name of the spell
You can now complete the Island keeper quest
Quest location indicators have been fixed

HOTFIX for V0.13


  • Dying while grappling will no longer cause a death loop. Also taking damage while grappling will cancel the grapple
  • Key binding added for Jump
  • The starting spawn location is now protected from monsters
  • You can no longer jump or use shield while dead
  • You can no longer move with inventory open
  • Fixed Airship bug causing performance issues as well as not flying as intended
