WildStar Game Service Officially Closed
WildStar Signing Off November 28
When Carbine first started working on what would become WildStar back in 2005, the team set out to make something special that presented a different kind of MMORPG experience. At launch, the Carbine team delivered a deep, engaging, and spectacularly fun game full of outlandish adventures on the most legendary planet in the universe. And it has been our great privilege to share those adventures with all of you over the last four years.
Unfortunately, as you may have heard, those adventures are coming to an end. It’s never easy to say goodbye to something, especially something that has meant so much for so many—but the WildStar game service will close on November 28, 2018.
From now until then we’re going to do everything we can to honor the WildStar community, and show thanks for your support. In an attempt to recognize your dedication and love for WildStar and for those of you who have come to call Nexus your home, here are our plans from now until the servers close:
Refunding Recent Purchases
- All real money purchases have been disabled on the website and in-game store.
- Refunds for the purchases will be processed by October 3, 2018.
- Real money purchases (including Protobucks, C.R.E.D.D., and Signature) made since July 1, 2018 will be refunded, and we will also process refunds for prepaid Signature Memberships that still have time remaining past September 26, 2018.
- C.R.E.D.D. that remains unused and where the account holder has been active within the last 90 days will have their C.R.E.D.D. converted into equivalent NCoin for each unit.
- C.R.E.D.D. that has been used to redeem Signature and where remaining active days extends beyond September 26, 2018 will be reimbursed in NCoin for each day remaining on a prorated basis.
- Steam purchases have been disabled, and all purchases made on or after July 1, 2018 will be reimbursed in full.
- Steam users who made purchases through Steam using funds from their Steam Wallet will have the funds returned to their Wallet.
- Steam users who used other payment methods will be issued refunds to their original payment method.
- If there are any issues, please contact the Steam Support team.
If you have any questions regarding refunds, or if your qualifying recent purchase was made with a non-refundable payment method, please read through our Sunset FAQ before contacting Customer Support.
Final Update
The final update to the game was released today, which introduced a few changes aimed at ensuring you can enjoy everything WildStar has to offer.
- Any Protobucks you have will be converted to Omnibits at a 1:1 conversion.
- Omnibit drops are being increased.
- The Omnibit cap has been raised substantially.
- All in-game store items will be purchasable with Omnibits.
- All seasonal store items and rotating costumes/mounts will be available on the store.
- All Signature Station items will be available on the regular store.
- Everyone will receive Signature status.
- Gear drops from Prime instances and raids have had their base ilevel increased higher than they normally would be.
- Primal Essence gain rates are being substantially increased.
- Select endgame reputations can be maxed out, letting you access everything the faction vendors have to offer.

Returning Events
The seasonal in-game events are some of our favorite content, and we know you agree, so we’ll be increasing the rotational speed of the planet Nexus (not really) to fast forward and ensure you can enjoy your favorites one last time.
September 26–November 28
- Double XP, Glory Days, Power Prestige and PvP, and Blessing of Essence will be on from now until shutdown.
October 12–19
- Residential Renovation, with the Battle Chase reward set available during this occurrence.
October 19–November 2
- Jack Shade is back to fright and delight in Shade’s Eve.
November 9–23
- Protostar’s Gala Winterfest Extravaganza is back for one, last, shopping frenzy.
November 24–27
- Take to the skies (or at least a foot off the ground) in the zPrix Invitational!
November 28
- Join us in-game for the final few hours as we have some fun. More details to come!
We are truly grateful for the vibrant community that grew around WildStar, and for all of your support throughout the life of this game. Our hope is that in these last couple months we can all celebrate the great adventures you’ve had on Planet Nexus—and have some fun along the way.

Residential Renovation! October 13–20
Lights, camera, action! Sara Conavius, housing designer and renovator extraordinaire, will be in town October 13 at 10am PDT until 10am PDT on October 20 to look for properties to feature in new episodes of her intergalactic hit holovision show, “Residential Renovation.” The self-proclaimed Genesis Prime of Home Improvement, Sara will help you make your home really pop for the cameras in the new “Neighborhoods of Nexus” edition of her Protostar Academy Award-eligible series.
Do your part to aid in the production of Sara’s broadcast by completing a series of home improvement tasks and she’ll reward you with Home Renovation Guides which you can turn in for the Exile Builder’s Pack, Dominion Builder’s Pack, and NPC Décor Pack—three bundles of fantastic collectibles previously offered as part of the Battle Chase collection.
Filming for Residential Renovation will be ongoing for one week each month and feature three rotating reward sets. This is a fine opportunity for architects, landscapers, and interior designers alike to further inflate their prolific troves of decorative treasures!
Anxious to get your paws on more renovation loot? Next up for the month of October is the Sim-Chase collection.
Double XP X-Plosion! October 6–9
For a limited-time Protostar will match your experience point for point, which means you earn twice the XP every time you earn XP during this special event. The XP X-Plosion runs from October 6 at 2am PDT until 11:59pm PDT on October 9.
Keep in mind that the double XP from this Double XP X-Plosion! event stacks with the bonuses from Signature, and Signature offers a ton of other great benefits too!
We recommend maximizing Protostar’s very generous Double XP X-Plosion! by tackling adventures, expeditions, and dungeons, which you can queue for by using the Content Finder (N). Already level 50? During the event you can earn Elder Gems twice as fast to purchase items like Ability or AMP points. When you hit the weekly cap of 350 Elder Gems, your XP is converted to gold. It’s a good time to make good use of your time!

Fortune Coin Weekend Sale!
Fortune Coins are on sale for 48 hours only! From 10am PDT on Friday, September 29 until 10am PDT on Sunday, October 1, Fortune Coins are 25% off! Fortune Coins rarely ever go on sale, and it’s certainly not going to happen again very soon.
Fortune Coins can be purchased from the In-Game Store for Protobucks, and then used at Madame Fay’s Fortunes to unlock random prizes. Madame Fay’s Frightful Fall Fortunes Resurrected!
Madame Fay has been communing with otherworldly entities, ready with new Fortunes (her own special antiquities). Her latest commodities so prime for the season—the terrifying tale of Jack Shade is the reason. His legend lives on in your children’s own nightmares, but remember that Shade’s Eve is mostly just jump-scares. This terrible season isn’t so terrible at all, it’s really just a party we throw in the fall. And Madame Fay’s new items aren’t reserved for the zealous; collect costumes and mounts to make all your friends jealous!
But, if you’re not yet ready to embrace the occasion, you must grab old Fortunes first before the Shade’s Eve invasion. On the fourth of October your time will expire, as Madame Fay’s old Fortunes will finally retire. And she’ll have spooky new goodies for you to explore—ghastly costumes, décor, and oh so much more!
Don’t take these new rewards as just a seasonal fare, you can use them all-year-round! As long as the fashion police don’t care.
Returning are true bone-chilling mount variations, each for you to bring scares to any location. But combine the Skelocirex of copper, bone white, and chrome, and the ultra-rare tar version will be yours to take home. Homecoming Now Live!
You’ve explored Nexus and beyond—now it’s time to come home. The next major WildStar content update, Homecoming, arrives Wednesday, September 6, and it offers players an assortment of new and updated activities!

New Feature: Communities
You’ve invested impressive amounts of time and effort in designing rich, elegant living spaces to call home. And with Homecoming you’ll at last have the ability to find neighbors who can move into properties right next door! Collaborate together to build a vibrant and bustling Community—a massively expanded housing social feature that affords players the cosmic opportunity to relocate their homes to shared land.
New Event: Residential Renovation
Residential Renovation is a new in-game event that will run for one week every month. Pulling many of the rewards previously offered through Chase events, Residential Renovation will task players with a variety of largely housing-centric activities that yield stellar upgrades in home décor.
Residential Renovation will begin its inaugural run on September 15 at 10am PDT and last until 10am PDT on September 22—get ready for show time!
New Contest: Community Showdown
Get your sharpened pencils, tracing paper, and protractors at the ready. The Community Showdown is the preeminent competition for seasoned architects, landscapers, and interior designers to flaunt your elite skills and let vanity be thy true tape measure. But this isn’t your mama’s House of Haunts contest. This time, through the foundation of a Community, you’re in it to win it with a full five conjoined Housing plots fashioned to elegant perfection!

New Prime Content
The Homecoming update once again expands the amount of Prime content available to battle-hardened adventurers. The Sanctuary of the Swordmaiden dungeon and Deep Space Exploration Expedition are the latest instances to be elevated to Prime status, calling all players to organize with capable friends to brave new levels of challenge for due rewards.
Madame Fay’s Fortunes Update
The release of this content update also coincides with Madame Fay marvelously restocking treasures that had previously been depleted. The Arcterra collection is quite literally the coolest set of Fortunes she’s ever supplied, and beginning September 6 they’ll again be available for a limited time.

Homecoming: Prepare for the Residential Renovation!
On September 6, Nexus will host its Homecoming, a cosmic block party to celebrate the grand opening of Communities, in which players will band together to create unique living spaces on shared land. And with a game update so lovingly devoted to enriching WildStar’s brand of Player Housing—Communities deliver a bona fide new social system that’s anchored by the creativity and collaborative spirit of every contributor—it’s a cherry-on-top opportunity to introduce the brand-new recurring event: Residential Renovation!
Intelligent Design
Sara Conavius, housing designer and renovator extraordinaire, will be touching down on Nexus for one week every month to look for properties to feature in new episodes of her intergalactic hit holovision show, “Residential Renovation.” The self-proclaimed Genesis Prime of Home Improvement, Sara will be visiting Illium and Thayd to help you make your home really pop for the cameras in the new “Neighborhoods of Nexus” edition of her Protostar Academy Award-eligible series. (She’s also more than willing to sign autographs for her sea of adoring fans—the largest audience to visit a quest giver, period.)
Let Your Hearth Be Your Guide
Do your part to aide in the production of Sara’s broadcast by completing a series of home improvement tasks—and probably take some time to shower her with adulation—and she’ll reward you with Home Renovation Guides. These guides can be turned into Sara’s Production Assistant for a variety of rewards, including housing décor, achievements, pets, and mounts. This is a fine opportunity for architects, landscapers, and interior designers alike to further inflate their prolific troves of decorative treasures!
Chase Booty
There are three separate sets of rewards lifted from the former Sim-Chase, Battle Chase, and Dungeon Chase events. These three reward sets will be on distinct rotation each month when Residential Renovation is active, which means the reward cycle is completed and starts again every few months. Additional goodies may be inserted into this rotation in future updates.
