The description on update 0.53.2

Hello, fighters!



We’ve prepared the update 0.53.2 today, in which we made some adjustments and changes.

Balance changes



  • The time for applying of the medium antidote (green) has been reduced from 20 to 10 seconds, and from 20 to 15 seconds for a small antidote;
  • Larger antidote now available at faction Outposts, with a 5 second apply time;


The new antidote and applying time should make it easier to fight against sun spiders now.

Events



  • A new event has been added at “Korovie”;
  • A new event has been added in “Swamp” location;


Reputation


Now, shooting a player with 50% reputation less than you, will not flag you as an aggressor in PvP.

Spawning of the loot in the boxes



Are you the type of player that hangs around box spawn areas and examines the same box all the time, we have bad news for you: now, if you take a specific item, like sewing thread for example, from the same box, this item will not spawn for you in this box anymore. At the same time, it does not affect other players, who can take said item out of a box. Go explore, who knows what you will find!

Bugfixes



  • Fixed a bug in which monsters damage only affected the rear armor plate. As a result, it should be easier to fight against some monster now. Happy hunting!;
  • Fixed bugs with the collision of some objects.


Misc changes



  • 3D model of MHP-1 has been updated;
  • • The spawn chance and spawn rate of sewing thread has been increased;
  • The radius of the safe zone at D7-1 sector in Canyon location has been increased.

Description on Update 0.53.1

Hello, fighters!

Today we’ve rolled out update 0.53.1, in which we added new craft recipes for armor crafting, added a possibility to make an upgrade of MRP-1, and fixed a lot of bugs and made some changes.

New recipes for craft



In this version, we’ve added a few composite recipes for armor crafting.




The set of leather armor is targeted to 13th level players, and players able to find all required recipes during their natural way of exploring the world. To craft this armor, players should find few recipes, which can be found in MTE, at Cemetery not far away from Solnecniy, and in Sobachovka settlement.

Moreover, we’ve added recipes for armor crafting targeted to players who got 20th levels - Chitin armor set. For example, the body armor got good PvE protection and slightly lower protection in PvP than faction L1 bulletproof vest. While the chitin pants became the best protection for legs in the game.



The most difficult part of crafting this set is getting recipes. In general, these recipes might be found a similar way as the previous one - by the natural way of exploring the world during the development of character. The crafting process includes a few steps, and each step requires its own recipe. For example, you have to find “Polymer Clothes” recipe, which you can get during killing big spiders in the “Spider Cave”. Also, you have to get a recipe for thermal treatment of spider shells, which can be found from NPC in Korovie. And finally, the final step, recipes for chitin armor which you can get killing fire spiders.

In addition, there are some items appeared in the game, which might be bought from traders, such as salt, vinegar from food traders, and alkali from Senya in Korovie.

New quests



In this version, we’ve added one interesting quest to Victor Petrovich in the Tunnels. This quest is available to all players who completed Herman’s task “Fix the generator” and allows players to upgrade their MRP-1 devices. MRP-1M has 400 meters radius, that two times more than regular MRP.

This quest does not depend on faction or class.

A quest for the pharmacist assembly was also added, in case the device that you received on Kuzmich’s quest became unusable. This quest is hidden and available if you complete the quest line from Kuzmich. On the mechanics is similar to the execution of the quest "Strange Map".

Bandanas



Generally, bandanas are the more cosmetic items, which obtain small protective options against the environment. Basically, it is just a decorative element to extend your customization options. Monotonous bandanas available at many traders in game, while colored bandanas are paid and available on Steam.



Attention! Despite the fact that bandanas have condition indicator, like respirators, do not keep in mind, it doesn't reduce during the time.


Change class


In this version, we added a paid option to change the class of your character. Thanks to “Class Certificate” you can change the class of your character to others. This option might be useful to players, who want to try to play with other class but doesn’t want to start from scratch.

Balance



  • Amount of fire spiders in “Dead Forest” has been increased;
  • The level of Big Spider Boss has been increased;
  • Sun spiders now obtain a possibility to spit in cases, when spiders can't reach the target;
  • A chance of the loot drop from matador has been increased;
  • Sun spiders and Matadors have become more dangerous monsters;
  • Increased craft experience of many recipes


Bugfixes



  • Solved a bug with spray paint, which given as a reward on PVP Arena. Unfortunately, we didn't fix the “old” spray paint, but with the new one, you will not get any issues.
  • Solved a problem with some quests from the bulletin board due to not enough free space in the inventory for rewarding.
  • Tihon now not offer visit Exclusion Zone, if a player didn't get required level.
  • Fixed a rare bug with the charging of MHP-1;
  • Now, if players leave the faction all faction quests will be canceled automatically. Players are able to complete these quests if they join back the faction.

Good day, fighters!

We shared information about how the game will be developing in 0.53 branch last week. Today we’ve prepared the first update from this branch, in which some of the new features have been introduced according to our plans.



Arena


As was said before, starting with version 0.53 a participating in the battles on Arena will be rewarded after match according to your efficiency during the battle. A new NPC, “Arena Master”, has been added to location “Tunnels”, who transfer you to Arena.



In order for the match to be recognized by the system as held, it requires 4 players in each team at least. Depending on the efficiency of your actions during the battle, you will receive an award, which will be sent via mail. All awards can be taken at every place where mailboxes are installed. As a reward, you can get not only useful resources but stimulators, paint and etc.

PvE content



In this version, we’ve added few quests to Herman, which available to all characters regardless of faction. Also, new quests have been added to “Bulletin Board” in the location “Big Village”.

We’ve revised rewards for participating in some events. For example, you can be rewarded with rare resources for completing the event in Minaev’s mines. The battle mechanics with Big Cave Spider Boss has been redone, and reward has been changed as well. Prepare your backpacks :-)

A new event has been added at “Black Sunset camp” in which you have to protect the camp from a swarm of spiders. Moreover, a new event has been added to one of the villages not far away from Sonlechniy, in which you have to fight against bandits.

Now you can find a field with resources around the world, thus it is possible to get some resources not only in mines but on the surface as well.

Teleports




We’ve added few teleports to both “Outskirts” parts and to “Big Village” locations. To use this teleport, you have to craft a special NDP-battery, which will be consumed according to the weight of your loot. Recipes for the craft of it might be accidentally found in any place around the world.

Other changes



  • Sound of “Thunder” rifle has been changed;
  • Fixed a problem due to the shooting was happened only on client-side in some cases;
  • Hits into arms or legs now deal more damage;
  • Fixed a rare bug due to the reloading of some rifles;
  • Quests in starter’s camp have been revised;
  • Sounds of bullets which fly past the characters have been returned to the game.

The 0.52 branch is done. What’s next?

Today we would like to share with you information about our future plans. We introduced version 0.52 in December last year and we have been developing this branch all of this time.
With this version, we presented four new locations (Tunnels, Canyon, Exclusion Zone, Bomb Shelter), new weapons for entry and high-level to some classes. Also, we redesigned a damage system and changed the balance of the PvP. Mechanics of events and some tutorials were added as well.

We believe that the development of version 0.52 is completed and it is a time to move forward and we have started to develop branch 0.53 already!

Development of Arena



In version 0.53, the Arena will get improvements. There will be added a new NPC, Arena Master, in the Tunnels, who will provide a choice on which Arena you are going to go. Transfers to Arena from Solnechniy (Solar City) and Black Sunset camp will be removed.

Since all of the craft in the game is mainly focused on comfortable participating in PVP, we understand that not all of the players find the crafting process enjoyable. That’s why we’ve decided to change the way for gathering of resources and made it more interesting.



Depending on your contribution to victory, you will receive boxes, which will contain some of the resources that might be useful for crafting. All boxes with goods will send you via post service after each round, and you will able to get them in any place where you can find the postbox. Both members of the winning and losing teams will receive the award. But it doesn’t mean that you able to get tons of resources for free, no, but at the same time we allow reward adjustments in the future.

In order to match was counted as held, four members in each team requires at least.

In-game achievements



Starting from 0.53 branch, we are going to develop in-game achievements. These achievements will be different from those available on Steam, and its unlocking will be rewarded.

The development of own achievements and statistics brings us new opportunities for new game mechanics and diverse daily tasks, which will involve the players to complete them.

Resource mining



We are going to revise the resource mining in the game. Now fields of some of the resources can be found not only in the mines but also on the surface, where it is appropriate. Moreover, some kind of resources might be rewarded for daily quests and for participating in the battles on Arena so on.

Teleports



The “Radio” anomalies are widely used by players for fast traveling around the locations, but as since our world becomes bigger, there are real teleports will be added into the game, which will allow you to move between some locations in safety!

New locations





During the development of 0.53 branch, we are going to add one or even two new locations. One of these locations will be called as “Testing ground of SO-17 laboratory”. With this location, a definitely new kind of enemies will appear, and the maximum level cap will be extended up to 40th levels. New recipes for the craft will be added as well.



“Testing ground of SO-17 laboratory” will be close to Canyons by its size and will be a very dangerous place with its own story and features.

PvE content





As a part of the development of 0.53 branch, we are also going to focus on the storyline. We plan to add both the main quests, which are mainly will be available to faction players and various side quests. Completing these quests, you will get new information about the craft, about the “Laboratory SO-17” where Viktor Petrovich worked before, and also probably you will get some information about new NDP technologies. Besides, there are more different events will be added, which will positively affect the game world.



A new monster-boss, which you are waiting for, will be added in the tunnels with the new level cap as well. Moreover, some bosses like “Big Spider”, will get new game mechanics.

Some of these changes already will be introduced soon!

Update 0.52.10 [hotfix 1]



Hello, fighters!

Today we’ve prepared a small patch, which includes different fixes, and some bugs have been resolved. In addition, we’ve made the following changes:


  • Two “events” have been added in Solnechniy. It should be hot!
  • A new event has been added in Minayev Mines;
  • Identification of characters has been accelerated - now it will be possible to understand who is "someone else's" or "one's own" somewhat faster than before;
  • Simplified fuel collection for the quest “Start generator”;
  • Added a safe zone and respawn point at the exit from Outskirts to Tunnels;
  • Starter’s camp got improvements.

Update 0.52.10

Good day, fighters! Today we’ve published the update 0.52.10 which contains new weapon and bugfixes.

New weapon





In this version, miners got a new shotgun - Mossberg 590A1 which available on 13th levels and fill a niche between MP-133 and Marauder 12. This shotgun has pretty good specifications as a weapon on this level and has 7 rounds in the magazine.



Mercenaries have got a new assault rifle - M16. This gun available on 25th levels and uses 5.56x45 rounds.

This rifle obtains a moderate armor-piercing, with good accuracy and rate of fire. Installation of aiming devices, such as KITE-1, KITE-2, PO-1, and red dots, is also allowed.

Canyon



In this version, we've reduced the radius of the jammer and removed a possibility to keep offline the character from opposite faction close to the outposts. Now characters from opposite faction will spawn at the exit to “Swamp” location, which solves a problem when enemy engineers load into the game when outpost capturing begin.

Other changes



  • Fixed a bug with markers for “Herbalist” quest;
  • Quest “Looking to purchase old waste batteries” on Bulletin board in Korovie now available only from 15th levels;
  • Memory usage of the client of the game has been optimized. It affected a huge amount of game files;
  • The price of the next ammo has been optimized according to its efficiency: 12Ga (shot, slug), 12Ga Magnum (shot, slug), 7.62x39 (all), 7.62x54 (all), 5.7x28 (all), .45 ACP (all), .30-06 (all);
  • The price of the next M1 ammo has been increased: 12Ga M1 (slug and shot), 5.7x28 M1, 9x39 M1, .30-06 M1, 7.62x54 M1. Now crafting is much more profitable;
  • Added recipe for the production of 5.56x45 M1 rounds;
  • A machine gun position on South Outpost has been changed;
  • Engineers got a possibility to wear on M1 faction armor on 30th levels, but it requires 6 points of strength;
  • Fixed a bug due to which initial speed of bullets was overestimated for assault rifles and rifles (excluding AS VAL and VSS). Now all ammo has a correct initial speed. Keep in might, that the trajectory might be changed on long distances (200+ meters).
  • The Jammer now requires 6 points of intelligence.

Update 0.52.9 [hotfix 1]

Hello, fighters! Today we’ve prepared a hotfix for version 0.52.9, in which we’ve revised characteristics of some ammo and fixed some bugs.



List of changes:



  • An armor-piercing of .30-06 M1 has been increased;
  • An armor-piercing of 12Ga Slug M1 has been increased;
  • Solved a problem which hornets didn’t attack players;
  • Solved a problem when small symbionts didn’t take damage;
  • Solved a problem with incorrect displaying of ammo amount in the inventory caused in some situations;
  • Amount selection dialog now will be always displayed during the picking up crafted items from craft objects like a furnace;
  • Added new objects, which restrict the rain on some premises;
  • Added a new “Event” on Canyon.

Description on Update 0.52.9

Hello, fellas! We’ve rolled out the update 0.52.9 in which the mechanisms of damage are significantly reworked. It means, that PvP and PvE battles became different. So, what has been changed? Read this article!



New mechanics of armor and armor-piercing



We’ve introduced significant changes in armor and armor-piercing mechanics in the version 0.52.9. It means, that the damage doing to monster and players works an absolutely different way now.

How it was before?

Before, if the weapon had not enough of armor-piercing, players weren’t able to do damage to the enemy. For example, if the enemy had 60 points of armor, and your weapon had only 40 points of armor-piercing, you weren’t able to do even small damage, only “zeroes”, and you become very sad. It has been changed now.



And what’s now?

There will be no more “zeroes” in the game. Now, if the weapon has even a small amount of armor-piercing points, it will be able to do damage to the enemy, but some part of this damage will be absorbed by the armor according to the difference between armor and armor-piercing values. Theoretically, now it is possible to kill a high-level enemy dressed up the faction armor even with a low-level weapon, such as TT, PPSH, SKS, Marauder 5, not to mention the Mosin rifle and the Marauder 7 and handguns. Only for this, you need more time and ammo :-)

How does it work?

For example, if your target has 100 points of armor, and your weapon has 60 points of armor-piercing, you able to deal up to 60% of maximum damage in the best case (excluding the critical hit). If the weapon has only 40 points of armor-piercing, it will able to do only 40% of maximum damage and so on. If the armor and weapon have the same value of armor and armor-piercing rates, the weapon will able to do maximum damage depending on of current experience rate for this weapon.


What does it mean on practice?

It means, that the high-level players should not underestimate the low-level players, and players of even 16th and 13th levels will be able to fight back higher-level players. Yes, it wouldn’t be equal fights, but nonetheless… It means, that the Zastava M70 has got better efficiency to low-armored targets than AS VAL, and the AS Val does much better with high-armored targets because it has a high value of armor-piercing. It means, that the Magnum slugs and 12 GA shots now are able to do damage. And the SKS with the 7.62x39 M1 round become like a sniper rifle for everyone.

Since the weapon with a high value of armor-piercing is available in the game (AS VAL, Thunder, VSS, SPAS), the minimum value of armor has been increased twice and highest value of armor has been increased three times for each armor.

Since the damage algorithms have been changed, we’ve devoted a considerable amount of time to rebalancing the weapon, adapting it to new conditions, conducting tests of each weapon available in the game. Specifications of some ammo, such as 12Ga, 9x39, .30-06AP and M1, 7.62x54 Extra и 7.62x39 Extra, also have been revised. Somewhere the armor-piercing has changed, but somewhere damage.

It is worth noting, that the armor-piercing now depends on from the bullet speed and the distance. This, in general, is logical, since the bullets lose their energy, depending on the distance.

We understand that it is not possible to do a good weapon balance from the first time, that’s why players should be patient, and adopt the new rules of the game. We are sure, that these changes are steps in the right way, and the balance is just only question of the time.

Drop from characters


In connection with the new damage mechanics, we’ve revised the chance and amount of drop from the characters. We’ve reduced the chance ammo and medical kits dropping out, and also significantly reduced their amount: ammo now drop by 10% less, and medicines - by 15%.


Other changes



  • HP ammo now do less damage to characters by 20%;
  • Wear of the armor plates reduced by 50%;
  • The problem when 12Ga Shot able to do quad damage has been solved;
  • The speed of experience gaining for “Privet” submachine gun has been increased;
  • Some quests are disabled for the group. This will eliminate problems with quests that are not suitable for the group;
  • Information about the possibility to do a quest in the group now displays in the PDA;
  • Now monsters, which are under the water, able to take the damage;
  • The problem with displaying medical kits in the fast access slot after usage the last medkit has been solved;
  • Fixed a bug with markers duplicates on minimap after death;
  • Solved a bug with character’s transfer from “Solnecniy outskirts” to the “Swamp”, and the bug with using the guide as well;
  • Now unloaded weapon display the specifications of damage like it charged with FMJ ammo;
  • Solved the bug when the killing of aggressor from opposite faction (players with the blue identification) not accrued reputation.
  • Solved a bug when the rain rains through the buildings and caves.
  • In order to optimize the load on the client and the server of the game, the chat logs now display the total damage done for each 50 ms from each player, monster or NPC, and not for a single shot as before, and reading such a log will become more convenient;
  • Improved textures of stokehold in Solnechniy;
  • The overall color scheme of the game has been changed.
