Game Update 28

Hi there pilots!

Finally, the annoying stage 3 bugs where the stage starts without the player ship, is fixed.

If you are interested in the details, here is what was causing it:

When ship 2 (Altair) beats a boss and the results are showing, the results controller orders the ship to no longer be controlled by the player and also to move forward and leave the scene. However, when stage 3 starts, the ship still follows the order and leaves the scene. We couldn't see it because it was covered by the transition artwork.

I had to add a debug text that tracks ship 2 position and show where it's located. Thanks to that I was able to see that it still keeps moving forward somewhere far away. Easy bug to fix, but the hard part was to actually discover what is causing it.

Finally, the reason why such bugs still exist is due to the nature of the game being a solo indie release, with almost no budget, add to it being a shmup, which is a niche genre. All this leading to me having difficulties finding beta testers.

Sorry for the long wall of text and thanks again for the support! both for buying the game and for being really helpful reporting bugs.

Game Update 27

Hi there pilots! how is it going?

This is another regular update, in which a few bugs are fixed.

- Now turrets do fire when you press the auto-fire button.
- The continue system in the two players mode is fixed.
- The return button in the training mode game over brings you back to the training mode.
- Item scrolling is fixed.

I did my best to replicate the bugs you guys are notifying me about, but for a few, I couldn't, so I did my best to just make the code more solid.

Right now I couldn't replicate the bug were the player doesn't show at the start of stage 3, but I tweaked the code and made it more solid, hoping this fixes the issue.

Same goes for the 1st boss bug, in which it doesn't register being killed. I defeated it many times but I couldn't get the bug to happen. Once again, I just made the code more solid, hoping this fixes it.

With that said, thanks a lot for the support!!

Game Update 26

Hi there pilots!

Just a regular update in which I add news features and fix bugs. Here are the new stuff:

- A new feature added:
* Now you can auto fire while moving the right stick. This was asked by a player who like twin stick
shmups and wanted this type of control. You can turn it off/on from the gameplay options.

- Bug fixes:
* Some trophies are fixed.
* The occasional pause not working is fixed.
* Boss 1 not triggering the result and therefore the next stage, fixed.
* 2 players control, a new found bug is fixed.

Alright! that's all for this update! I'm still counting on your support and report.

Game Update 25

Hi there pilots!

I hope you are enjoying this special time of the year!!

Here I am with a new update. I finally fixed the continue and respawn bug in the local multiplayer mode.
I've tested it enough to make it an official update. In case there is still an issue there, please let me know.

Sorry I can't test the game thoughtfully due to the lack of testers.

Thanks for the continuous support!

Game Update 24

Hello pilots!

I hope you enjoyed the auto fire and the extend features.

This is just a regular update in which I fixed the turrets not firing when you press auto fire.

In addition to that, I added some small details to stage 1, I'll let you discover them.

Till next time!

Temporary removal of the latest build due to some quick fixes

Hey pilots!

Sorry for removing the latest build that includes the auto fire and the extend features. Reason for that is a bug that needs some fixing. It'll be available very soon, soon like tomorrow.

Thanks for understanding!

Game Update 23

Hello there pilots!

Here's a new update, something I've been asked a lot in forums, Twitter and Discord:

The game now has an auto fire button, which allows you to keep firing without entering the slow focus mode. And like the other keys, it's mappable (hope this is a real English word lol).

The other added feature is Extend. Now you are rewarded with an extra life. The extend isn't score based like most shmups, but comes as a reward drop item at the start of stage 5, as long as you are playing normal difficulty or above. So, just survive till stage 5 and you'll get it.

As for the optimization project, it's not done yet, still needs a lot of work since it will include more graphic settings for those with high end PCs. However, this update includes a little optimization and I hope it shows some results.

With that said, I'll be back t work. Looking forward to your feedback, bug reports and suggestions.

Thanks again for the support!

Game Progress Update 22

Hi there pilots,

I managed to improve the performance for Windows 10 users.

Now, stage 1 no longer have major stutters. The issue was during porting the game from the old engine (GMS 1.4) to the newer one (GMS2). While it fixed graphical issues like glitches and window blinking, it create the new texture loading bug, which made the game stutter a lot in stage 1, because it has to load assets during gameplay.

Another addition to this build is also the new controller icons for PS4 and X1.

I'm not done with optimization though, I'll keep working on the game and making it even better, while counting on your feedback and bug reports.

Cheers,

Shinu

Game Progress Update 21

Hi there pilots,

This update is for Windows 7 users who have issues with the latest game build.

I worked on the old engine and made some updates to make it up to date with the new version of the game. It may be a bit slightly behind, but you can always provide me with feedback so I can work on it in parallel with the new engine.

Two of the biggest updates of the newest build were added to the old one, namely the online leaderboard and the revised story mode.

With that said, I hope you are satisfied with the game.

Cheers,

Shinu Real.

Leaderboard is now available.

Hi there pilots!

For the past few days, I've been working on implementing an online leaderboard in-game. Finally, I was able to make it. Now you can see the top 10 players for each difficulty from the game menu under options --> profile --> show leaderboard.

If you want to see the full entries, you can visit the game's community leaderboard.

This is still on its testing phase, if you see any bugs or have suggestions, please let me know.

Cheers,
