A new hotfix has landed on Steam!

This one focuses on further improvements for the Online mode.
Check out the full patch notes below.

Fixed:

• "Wait for AI move" popup blocking player's action.
  
• Settings screen getting stuck during AI move.
  
• Issues with joining the game from Steam invite causing error 902 and/or "empty" players.
  
• Timeout or forfeit during RoundEnd phase should no longer cause a whole round to skip.
  

Remember to keep your game up-to-date and happy birding!

• Cases of online error 16 during online login.
  
• EE tutorial error causing rare crashes.
  
• Minor issues caused by forfeiting opponents in online games.

On Monday, November 17th at 9:15 AM UTC, Wingspan servers will undergo short maintenance works in order to deploy a fix. During this time, entering online mode will be impossible. Maintenance will last for around 30 minutes.

Try to finish your games before the maintenance starts and wait with the new ones until it's over.
Let your fellow birders know about online maintenance, so the process can go smoothly.

A small hotfix is now live on Steam!

In this one, we fixed an issue where players could lose their starting hand in online games.
Also, we are still working on improvements and fixes, and we are thankful for your feedback and bug reports - please, keep them coming.

Fixes:

• [p]Friends invited to an Online Duet game can now properly place Duet Tokens on the board,[/p]
• [p]Forfeiting during another player’s turn no longer causes issues in their turn flow,[/p]
• [p]All Duet map food slots now correctly unlock after using nectar to pay for a wild food in a bird’s cost.[/p]

On October 31, Wingspan servers will undergo maintenance works to introduce a small fix for online mode. During this time, entering online mode will be impossible.

Maintenance will begin at 10:00AM UTC/11:00AM CET/3:00AM PDT and will last for around 30 minutes.

As with every online maintenance, please end all your matches before the maintenance and do not start any new ones close to the maintenance hours. Otherwise, there's a risk of losing ongoing games and karma points.

Let your fellow birders know about online maintenance, so the process can go smoothly.

• [p]The game not recognising when a user deletes an invitation before the game starts.[/p]

• [p]Players' colors changing in the Duet mode with the player order set to random.[/p]
• [p]Players not owning all of the expansions seeing a different Champ of the Bird challenge.[/p]
• [p]Text fields closing upon pressing the 'X' button on the keyboard.[/p]
• [p]"Enable bug reporting" button setting now saves after closing the game.[/p]

You’ve been sharing your thoughts with us, and we’ve been listening. Thanks to your feedback, the Online mode just got a bunch of quality-of-life upgrades:

🪶In-game “Your Friends” list - set up games quicker with your favourite Birders!

• “Your Friends” option in the Online menu allows you to add other Wingspan players to your list by typing in their in-game nicknames.
  
• The list displays two sections: your platform friends and Wingspan in-game friends.
  
• Check the star for your favourite in-game friends to display them at the top of the “In-game Friends” list.
  
• When setting up a custom online game, use the “Invite a friend” option to easily add your friends to the match - either in bulk or one by one.
  

🤖AI upgrade for all online games:

• Now, whenever a player times out or forfeits in a matchmaking or a custom online game, AI will step in their place!
  
• In the matchmaking games, this means the remaining players can finish the match and gain Karma!
  

🌺Oceania Expansion in the Duet Matchmaking - enjoy the sweet nectar with both Asia and Oceania Expansions enabled!

🔔Online Notifications - never miss your move again! You’ll now receive in-game alerts when:

• it’s your turn in another matchmaking game, and/or
  
• there’s only 1 minute left before your turn times out.
  
• You can tweak these notifications in the game settings anytime.
  

🐛Bug report visibility is now an option that can be easily changed in Settings.
