Soon, you’ll be able to connect with fellow players more easily thanks to the new in-gameYour Friendslist, enjoy a more forgiving and uninterrupted experience in matchmaking with AI that steps in if you run out of time, and spread your wings in Duet Mode with both the Asia and Oceania expansions enabled. And to make sure you never miss a move, we’re also introducing in-game notifications that will let you know when it’s your turn in another matchmaking game, or when time is almost up.
Before the update goes live, we’ll be performing a short server maintenance. We’ll be sharing the exact time and duration soon, so stay tuned!
We hope these quality of life improvements will make your Wingspan experience feathery smooth.

We’re back with a small update! This one fixes the stubborn overview mode that was blocking your moves, and takes care of an issue where the app wouldn’t launch on Radeon GPU devices.

It was certainly a wild journey full of crazy ideas and inspirations. We always knew we wanted to preserve the soul of the board game while creating something unique, something that could only exist in digital form. The first prototypes looked nothing like the rich preserve you know today. We drew our ideas with pen and paper, tried to bring the first birds to life through animation, and took some really bold steps, like adding a single-habitat view, drawing our own backgrounds for each season and holiday. We even contacted local Polish legends, and now you can hear Krystyna Czubówna in the game (everyone knows her here!).[/p][p align="justify"]Fast forward to today: after the European and Oceania Expansions, we’re just three months past the release of the Asia Expansion. There are so many birds in the game now, but even more Birders out in the wild![/p][p align="justify"]We wanted to share the history of Wingspan Digital with you. Wingspan’s 5th Anniversary Background is Back!

Since this is our 5th Anniversary, we thought we needed someone special to join the party. The coolest bird on the block has arrived to celebrate! A true Flock Star in birthday shades and full bling is now available as a brand-new, free 5th Anniversary Player Portrait. Together, you will rule the dance floor of your preserve and party until the score comes up.

The Anniversary Background is only available for a limited time (unless you add it to your collection with the Seasonal Decorative Pack 2), but the Disco Dove will be with you forever!

Birders! A new patch is now live!

On July 21, Wingspan servers will undergo maintenance works in order to deploy a fix. During this time, entering online mode will be impossible.
Maintenance will begin at 8:30AM UTC/10:30AM CEST/1:30AMPDT and will last for around 30 minutes.
As with every online maintenance, please end all your matches before the maintenance and do not start any new ones close to the maintenance hours. Otherwise, there's a risk of losing ongoing games and karma points.
Let your fellow birders know about online maintenance, so the process can go smoothly.

Wingspan Patch - July 14th

A real chonky patch just landed on Steam!
This update fixes a bunch of bugs you’ve reported since the Asia Expansion launch, bringing improved performance and stability, and including a few small changes to birds you know well by now!
Here’s what changed in the patch:
Players will not be able to back out from playing Wrybill after already seeing the discard pile
Wingspans updated for Count Raggis Bird of Paradise, Horsfields Bushlark, Malleefowl, Pesquets Parrot, Pheasant Coucal
Here’s what’s been fixed:
Wetland bonus conversions allowing for indefinite activations when used alternately.
'Historian' bonus card displaying an incorrect % of birds.
#ERROR displaying instead of the sum of wingspans during push-your-luck powers in German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, and Italian.
Grey Butcherbird tucking birds with a 40 cm wingspan.
Some bird powers rerolling dice being not predictible in Champ of the Birds mode.
Pink powers not allowing the reset of the birdfeeder when triggered by Automa.
"Fewest Duet tokens on bonus spaces" goal not displaying correctly on Automa's screen.
Birds in the online menu covering active games.

For those of you playing with a controller, we’ve made a few improvements:
The "undo" action available when a pop-up to confirm an action was active.
Trying to play a bird without the required food using a GAME END power, displaying a non-interactive pop-up.
Backing out of the Grassland bonus conversion action resulting in the controller losing focus.
