Less exciting update today, but solves a couple issues people have had!
- preparing a larger tutorial from the main menu
- memory leak with blurred textures fixed
- dice outcome faster
- arena sound effects balanced
- and more small bugfixes!

[p]Almost all BUGS done from this section of the Roadmap![/p][p]You know I can't just stand in one place solving bugs, so...[/p][p]Here's what's changed for the better:[/p]
  • [p]AI more decisive and faster[/p]
  • [p]AI Personality choice in the map editor[/p]
  • [p]Plus key now speeds up the game incrementally (hold longer to speed up more)[/p]
  • [p]allow random placement for custom battles[/p]
  • [p]store more fate dice and heroism.[/p]
  • [p]dice rolls are different level of danger to explode dice (wasn't happy with the pay-to-reroll idea, gambling should be guilt-free)[/p]
  • [p]upcoming battle details now visible in the campaign[/p]
  • [p]and of course, almost all bugs eliminated! [/p]

- immunity to pushback skill (for wrath of bruzha)
- charge hits happen on dots
- 0 move parameter makes units stationary
- stratagems applied to units created during battle
- UI bug fixed
- il2cpp compiling

The game should run a bit better!

- Useful shortcuts to show different stats on units.
- arena draft more customized for different companies
- some skills reworked (spawn bone horror etc.)
- bonus damage is now calculated correctly when armor counts in.
- optimization and bugs squashes (game loads much faster)
- more settings public for modding

Small update today!
- selectable units on level up screen.
- no delay for sound of drinking
- couple bugs fixed like Wiesiek ignoring events
- deployment areas slightly bigger.
- Loaded dice as rewards.
- no automatic zoom out.
- social distancing works.

Mini-Expansion: Beneath Crescent Lake

Hello everyone!
Another big update. This time campaign content!
I'm honestly a bit tired after testing everything until 4am so let's get straight to the point!

What's new?


- Expanded campaign with more quests focused on the new units - Arachnids. It's very clear now the game wants to be an open world with points of interest you can visit. Glad to know I'm on the right track.
- Experience levels for units now give perks and skills. This is the first step before I implement skill trees with ability points for units.
- Usable artifacts, which is the first step before swappable weapons and items.
- Fate Dice can be re-rolled for every check, this is a prerequisite for company stats. I'd really love to have a customizable leader with stats which impact these stat checks.
- Leader unit prototype. I think this unit type is too large right now, but it works. Currently only shows up in the true ending for the final battle and in the map editor.
- Exhaustion unit parameter is less annoying now, hopefully.
- Campaign tool now allows for node changes, without spoiling anything it's growing to be a nice RPG tool, I need to prepare an interface to release publicly.
- New units, new skills.
- I believe I've fixed many bugs, let's find out how many new ones pop up! Some evil nemesis bugs are squashed. Bread problems are gone!




This is the plan now and it's going pretty good so far!
I'll probably create a new BETA TEST branch where brave volunteers can test the newest updates before they become public. Simple reason. These updates will be drastic and I've already heard voices it's annoying when a new update erases your progress every other week.
Things are looking fun!

Strategems 2025 - Celebrating Tactics!

Hello everyone!
Winter Falling is part of the Strategems 2025 festival! Really happy about it.
This is actually a little preview of the delayed update that should come tomorrow at night!

Please let me know what you'd like to see further in the development.

Quick update:
- Commander type prototype
- Health bar allows for larger numbers in modding
- Scouting bugs fixed

8.0 test feb 7th

- arena difficulty changed
- AI random battles curve steeper
- AI random placement issues fixed.
- shorter arena
- all skill bugs reported are fixed

Hopefully everything's fixed for the expansion to come out cleanly!

hotfix 7.11 jan22th

- no more blood cheese oath
- arena score multiplier works
- Poisoned status and Exhaustion are displayed correctly
- Leaderboard displays entries with appropriate sauces
- Units on the map border will be covered by fog of war
- Old save files problems maybe fixed (I'm sorry if you were attached to the campaign progress, it may be gone )
