WORLD OF HORROR v1.0 - LIVE!
WORLD OF HORROR fans have been through a lot, we know! Through thick and thin, you've been waiting patiently for a long time for the game’s v1.0 release. We're stoked to announce the game has finally left Steam Early Access today, and we are also able to offer everyone the original Early Access price one more time as part of today's Steam Daily Deal!

A side note for players looking to visit Shiokawa on Switch and PlayStation: The game's digital console releases in North America and Europe have been delayed to Thursday, October 26th.
The Ysbryd Games team and panstasz have been laboring until the last possible moment to try and clear the necessary certification requirements and paperwork in time for our originally announced release date of October 19th. However, certain DOOM got the better of us, and we'll need one more run to finally clear these obstacles in North America and European regions - but we’ll get everyone to Shiokawa in time for Halloween!

WORLD OF HORROR v1.0 Launch on October 19th, 2023
Here's a few pieces of news to chew on today!
V1.0 HALLOWEEN RELEASE
In case you missed it, during the summer showcases it's been announced that WORLD OF HORROR will leave Steam Early Access on October 19th, 2023! The full game will include a frightening array of changes, the highlights being 3 new mysteries and 2 playable characters not yet seen in the Early Access builds.
We'd like to emphasize the localizations as well: The Asian regional release of WORLD OF HORROR v1.0 is published by our friends at PLAYISM, and thus the game will be available to play in Japanese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean. We are also adding French and German localizations for our players in Europe.
PHYSICAL EDITIONS
Here's another cool thing for those who like collecting physical editions: WORLD OF HORROR will find its way to retail stores near you in physical form! We expect these to become available during the launch period as well.
In North America and Europe, the Nintendo Switch physical edition of WORLD OF HORROR will be brought to you by Fangamer! Each physical edition includes an instruction manual and a set of art cards.

PRICE INCREASE
Lastly, in line with the arrival of the v1.0 version and content expansions since launch, WORLD OF HORROR will undergo a price increase on Steam to US$19.99 or its regional equivalent. Unlock new items, allies and spells locked behind eight new achievements
ILLEGAL DEN has expanded its operation, allowing the desperate enough characters to hire new followers. But can you trust them with your life and the future of SHIOKAWA?
POLICE STATION is now actively fighting the illegal den and corruption, allowing th e characters to request police patrols that decrease the THREAT level of patrolled locations.
ROOFTOP GIRL has started whispering to herself
MODDING (GENERAL):
the game supports up to 28 custom characters now
fixed the custom mystery's name displaying twice on the mystery board screen
custom enemies are no longer dropping their rewards if the player escaped from them
custom mysteries now load in a randomized order
Extra mystery features: restricted location, custom UI, mystery-linked status cards and variable length/ending triggers
Increased the EXP reward for banishing a GHOST (5 -> 20)
KNOWN ISSUES:
You technically can save/exit before starting a first mystery. It doesn’t seem to break/affect anything at the moment so it’s staying it for the time being.
Throwing an item while you have an item with the same name equipped could reduce your inventory slots.
The less active custom mysteries you have the higher chance of a crash (2 mysteries in a folder = around 15%, 3 mysteries = around 5%, more mysteries = around 1-0.01% each playthrough). I’ll have to sit down and test some new solutions for it but with 2 example mysteries provided with the game it should be fine, even if you only download one new custom mystery.
